Heidi M.August 2021PozitivnoExceeded my expectations based on the websiteNegativnoFpr there is nothing to complain aboutI am delighted with this camping❤Friendly operator couple, a store with a wide range of products (also e.g. the possibility to buy only a single egg etc.) Super delicious homemade fruit cake, clean sanitary facilities, barbecue and seating facilities for campers (weather-protected/wood supply) a cozy lounge with the possibility to charge... Habdy etc..
And what you rarely find on campsites for campers, beautiful grass area!

There is a regular shuttle service for skiing or snowboarding - and if you want to make a loop through the village on the way back, the route is also easy to do on foot.
Volg and Raiffeisenbank right in the center of the village.
Sauna in the igloo... highly recommended - we were able to fully enjoy and relax for two hours.
Everyone is super friendly and welcoming - the staff who run the campsite as well as the regular guests with fixed caravans.
It was wonderful!

We dismantled the igloos last spring but have now moved our barrel sauna to a quiet corner of the... campsite - with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You can open the barrier yourself and choose your own parking space. As soon as it opens again, you have to come and register. It all worked really well. The pitches are very small and very narrow and are sometimes behind each other. This means that... if someone is in front of you, you have to wait until they leave so that you can leave yourself. This is a small disadvantage, but the operator has made perfect use of the available space. The wash house is not barrier-free and extremely old. It was also not the cleanest. It is located on a flat meadow area and is characterized by permanent campers. The pitches are extremely tight, including the pitches for the small tents. The sanitary facilities are practically equipped and were clean during my stay. When we arrived at around 6 p.m., reception was already closed. Nevertheless, we were able to locate the operator, who came immediately and greeted us in a friendly manner and assigned us our pitch, saying that we would register tomorrow morning. Please... don't leave without paying. We thought this trust was great! Pitches: Very few, as there are mainly permanent campers, and very small. Car just fits next to the caravan. Awning or awning would no longer be possible. Pitches are partly behind each other (!). Someone arriving late put himself in front of us. The next morning we had to wait until he left before we could leave too. Water is available - very rustic - at the well. So don't forget a bucket or watering can. Electricity may be a long way away. Our 25m cable was just enough. The sanitary facilities are modern, well equipped and clean. The kiosk is well stocked. Breakfast rolls can be ordered the evening before. There is no restaurant. It's not worth waiting until the evening to visit the pretty village of Splügen on foot, which has a number of originally preserved houses. Place for overnight stay a bit expensive, but that seems typical for Switzerland. Adrian W.January 2013Super campsite. Only has a few tourist pitches but a very level site right next to the main building. The sanitary facilities are a few years old, but very clean. Very friendly site operators. No water connection in winter and no gray water disposal. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the surroundings. Far too beautiful to stop only briefly when passing through to Italy. Will definitely be back.
