We have been going to Markgrafenheide for many years.... Great place that has a lot to offer. The place is well maintained. For over 15 years we like to go to the stand oasis of Micha ... Connections by bus and Schnaterman to Warnemünde is top .... Free bus travel with visitor's tax... great clean beach

The sanitary facilities are a disaster, the cleaning staff can't keep up at all because in my opinion there are too few wash houses for the size of the site. Or if washrooms with showers were separate from the toilets there wouldn't be so much dirt carried in.... Mold in the showers and fallen tiles often no toilet paper or soap and it stinks in all 3 wash houses ..... As long as nothing is done and new sanitary buildings are built or renovated and separate toilets are built, we won't come back.

In area G the proximity and the way to the beach was very good. There is a small store for daily needs and bread rolls, open from 8-16 o'clock daily. Pre-order rolls from 20 pieces possible. Friendly contact. The Feinschmecker restaurant offers a wide selection of burgers, pizza etc... Pizza tastes good but is sometimes sparsely topped, prices approx. 10-12 euros per pizza. Spa card - free bus and train travel.

The courses are difficult to demarcate and recognize. Mini golf area looks poorly maintained, but you can play. There are table tennis tables and 2 playgrounds, the one at the back near the beach is also poorly maintained. There could be more garbage cans on the site. The sanitary facilities have mold in the partition walls in the shower area, the "house" is open and there is no insulation in the roof - temperature outside and inside.

There is nothing here that could please a camper.

Checking in was okay, but what happened next was simply unpleasant. For Acsi, there were only pitches of really poor quality. At night, hundreds of acorns pelted the camper van roof. When I entered the sanitary facilities, I felt a little sick. It stank so bad that I even decided not to take a shower. The showers were so filthy that the health authorities should take care of them. Then the top if you only have 1 overnight stay you pay tourist tax for 2 days, for the day of arrival and the day of departure. It's not the campsite's fault. But it is very annoying.
That was nothing
There are no advantages to this place, I will not visit this place and campsite again.

The rating could be much better, as the place would really have it from the conditions, but due to the listed disadvantages it did not turn out so well.
The security staff had more empathy than the reception staff, who we found to be almost unfriendly. The cleaning staff sat in the closet instead of mopping in between the main use of the sanitary facilities - what a shame!

The site is ideally located close to many beautiful places, e.g. Warnemünde. It is also only a 30-minute drive to the ferry port.
The pitches are well distributed over a spacious wooded area and are large enough. The adjacent beach is very beautiful.
And that's where our praise ends.
It wasn't our first... time here, but each time it was only because there was nothing else free to bridge the ferry journey.
The reception was, as always, very unfriendly due to the older lady we already knew. We queued for a very long time and the arriving vehicles piled up in the check-in area. The entrance barrier was constantly malfunctioning, so that guests were always annoyed when they got out after several attempts to ask reception for help.
You have to find your allocated space in the area yourself. Unfortunately, there is no explanation, map or even a guide. There are maps on the wash houses that you can use for this purpose. However, they do not tell us where any of the rare water taps are located.
The wash houses serve their purpose unless you are unlucky enough to use them alone in the evening. Then the light goes out when you are showering or using the toilet and if no one comes in you are left in the dark. The only soap dispenser in the ladies' area was partly empty, so we hoped that the men next door would help us.
However, we had nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. The young men cleaned very neatly and were friendly.
You get access to the WiFi with a code for 24 hours, but it only works in a small area. The network on site barely worked on our devices.
We were unable to flush the chemical toilet after emptying as this function was defective.
Price and performance do not come close together on this pitch. OK as a temporary pitch, definitely not recommended for a vacation!

The entire staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are extremely clean and are cleaned regularly. The dirt is only left behind by people who don't care about cleanliness.

The plots falling under A and B were never mowed during our stay and the grass was already higher.
Course description
Otherwise the campsite is recommendable and well run. We spent a nice and pleasant vacation. We also stayed at this site for 2 weeks in 2019.

Apparently the cleaning staff think that it is enough to place the cleaning materials at the entrance at the start of the shift and clear them away again at the end of the shift.
In the meantime, people are smoking and playing games in the equipment room.
What a pity. The sanitary facilities are actually... nice. But really unclean and it smells of urine.
The actual pitches are also very unkempt.
The site itself no longer meets today's standards.
Even if the spa area is OK.

The location almost directly on the beach, yet sheltered from the wind, is perfect. Electricity and hot water included. Bread roll service works. Snack bar, pizza, restaurant available.
Negativno
Unheated sanitary facilities which are closed "when it gets colder" (low season). Cleaning only superficial. Mold in the showers, cobwebs everywhere. Some trees in the middle of the pitches so that the pitch cannot be used at all.
Great location, but unclean and outdated
The space is (too?) big. The facilities are not up to date.
Unheated sanitary facilities that are only cleaned superficially. No water squeegee in the showers so that the dirty water can be pushed aside. Showers splash far into the changing area.

The reception is overwhelmed and has no overview of what... is going on in the huge space. After 5pm only the security guards are there anyway.

Whether the size of the pitch is usable at all or whether there are just 2-3 trees in the middle of it so that you can't put up an awning makes no difference to the price. We then switched to a smaller (cheaper) pitch without trees, which fortunately wasn't a problem because there was almost nothing going on anyway.

Everything is still very reminiscent of the old vacation camp times. Modernization would be urgently needed, but would be extremely costly due to the size of the site. Building a spa in the center doesn't change the mold in the wash houses.

If you have happy childhood memories from times gone by, you may be able to overlook a lot of things. But those who are used to heated, clean sanitary facilities, rented bathrooms and parceled-out pitches will not come back.

Short walk to the beach. Bread rolls available in various places. Children's bathing times in the spa... not possible, at least 85% of the guests are families.

The campsite was very poorly lit,... not even all the available lanterns were on. Defects in the sanitary facilities were not rectified promptly. 2 doors were broken for 11 days. In the pizzaria there was no more dough on some days before 21:00, although open until 21:30.

Overall okay for the size of the site. More light on the paths,... always have pizza dough in stock and maybe think about the fact that families with children also want to visit the sauna and swimming pool in bad weather.

Location top, sanitary flop!
I have been coming to this campsite for several years because the proximity to the beach and Warnemünde/Rostock is unbeatable.
Shopping facilities nearby (Netto), bus stop also close by! Small supermarket on the site for bread rolls, newspapers etc. The Tenne makes inexpensive food. Activities are also... offered.
However, I have in
June 2021 I paid 100 euros for 2 nights and 2 people. In the meantime, the price is no longer in line with the service!
The cleaning of the sanitary facilities was outsourced and is done far too little. This is a great pity, why is this accepted as a negative criterion?

It's just a campsite in the forest and by the water, which attracts mosquitoes The barrier system should be overhauled, i.e. the two "cameras" must be placed in front of the barrier tree, then it works with the automatic system, we had to walk to the reception every time, why is unknown to us, probably because our license plate was too high (SUV), it would also be helpful to draw a line in front of the barrier and renew it at the beginning of the season.

The campsite is not as bad as described in some reviews here, of course there is always something that does not work, but there is always something :-)
The thing we (unfortunately) have to criticize is the automatic of the barrier, the "cameras" should be in front of (instead of behind) the barrier tree... and maybe a little better adjusted, so that "bad SUV" can be better detected.
If you expect a 5* campsite, you should stay away from Markgrafenheide.
I still know it from GDR times and I have to say that a lot has been done in that time (from then until now), but the mosquitoes are still there :-)
Otherwise we had hardly anything to complain about, everything was tidy so far and the fact that there are some small construction sites did not bother us.

The site scores with its location: it's not far from the beach and you can be in Warnemünde or the Rostock Heath in a short time by bike.
Otherwise, our conclusion is rather sobering. For the price of an overnight stay, you can get a 5-star pitch with a bowtie elsewhere ....
During our stay, the site... was still very full in September, but the sanitary building in area K was closed on 1 September. So everything crowded into the 2 remaining buildings. Keeping your distance because of Corona looks different.
The sanitary buildings themselves also leave a lot to be desired. They have the charm of a station concourse, there is barely a hook to hang things on in the showers and you will look in vain for a shelf for the shower.
Despite the expensive pitches, the operator apparently has to keep a close eye on the budget: Although there is path lighting, it remains switched off. And so you just stumble across the pitch in the dark. One evening, even the men's part of the sanitary building remained dark....
I cannot confirm the unfriendliness of the staff described by some campers.

Overpriced with the charm of a campsite
We were "forced" to choose this place for a variety of reasons, otherwise the negative reviews would have put us off. Unfortunately, I have to confirm many of them, but first things first. A comfort pitch with electricity, fresh water and waste water connections near the sanitary facilities was essential.... So I made a reservation by phone and was given very friendly and competent advice. I was surprised, but it was an employee from the Baltic head office and not from the campsite. The later unplanned extension of my stay was also handled perfectly by this employee. On arrival, I got to know the grumpy ladies at reception. The driveway to the pitch showed me what I considered to be the biggest disadvantage of the site: dark pitches under tall trees, small and cramped with the charm of a campsite from the late 1970s. Then our pitch in the FH Strandlage Noblesse area, the size was okay, but a comfort pitch? At a price of € 52.00 per night, I know differently. I expect my own direct and permanent connection. Electricity ? Yes ! Fresh water ? Only one tap for 4 pitches almost at ground level, so no permanent connection but only when needed. The fact that my Gardena adapter was stolen the next day is not the fault of the pitch. Service water connection ? A joke, a gully that couldn't be opened and where not even my little finger could fit, so a waste water trolley. The next morning we were woken up at 8:00 am by a petrol-driven leaf blower cleaning the concrete slab in front of the snack bar for 30 minutes. The sanitary facilities were clean, but only two showers were in use for the women, which were also closed the next day. So women's showers for the men with the expected queues. We bought meat once in the store, which was very good and reasonably priced, as were the baked rolls. We had a good meal in the self-service restaurant Tenne, the pizzeria disappointed us.

Never again this place.

Beautiful place with many possibilities
I can't understand the negative reviews posted here at all! We arrived late and were therefore not greeted by the receptionists, but by the employees of a security company. Both were very nice and explained the most important things to us. The actual check-in took place the next day: again, everyone... was friendly and courteous! The wash house was never dirty and the cleaning staff were also very friendly. The corona measures were also pointed out. We felt very comfortable and our sons also thought it was a shame that we could only stay for a weekend. All in all a nice place with lots of action without boredom.
