We can't think of anything else.Therapy vacation at its best :-)We rented a mobile home for 14 days in September with our two children (8/10).
It was perfect! The children were able to play, romp and swim unsupervised all day and were exhausted in the evening :-)
We sat on the veranda until late at night with red wine and barbecues and enjoyed the balmy early fall... evenings.
Our friends were able to camp right next to our house with a camper van and children's tent and they were just as enthusiastic.
The site is simple, but very beautiful and well-kept. There are cycle paths all around for months and there are a few geocaches around the lake. We had never done this before, but now do it regularly.
And the lake and small beach is just HAMMER. So clean and beautiful.
Extremely relaxed quiet atmosphere. Our kids were always out and about. Wonderful couple's vacation :-)
So: Book without hesitation, it's great.Аутоматски преведено. - Elena C.June 2021PozitivnoQuiet location, directly on the lake, top restaurant, everything fenced inNegativnoOutdated sanitary but cleanAn idyll for the whole familyWe were there on a hot weekend. The lake is wonderful for swimming and splashing around for the children. The welcome is warm and informal. There is a simple meadow where everyone is assigned a nice spot. The restaurant is remarkably good. Everything is super tasty, fresh and homemade!
We found it... so reassuring that the campsite is fenced in and the children could let off steam in the playground and on the beach. You can borrow lots of equipment from reception and there are surfboards by the lake.

The site itself is very nice, the camping meadow is right by the lake and the restaurant. Playground is also only a few steps away. On the meadow there are only two electricity columns which are much too far apart. I had to lay out a 25 m cable... and another 20 m cable drum to have electricity. If you only have one cable you're screwed. There are no water connections at all, you have to get the water from the wash house, but that is manageable. We could not wash our three year old grandson there because the water was ice cold and that at the temperatures at Pentecost, the children's washbasin was dirty, the shower hose was totally rusty and dirty. The playground and the playhouse were a total disappointment. The playground equipment was totally run down, the paint was peeling off everywhere and it didn't look very safe either. The playhouse is so dilapidated that you have to be afraid that it will collapse. Inside there are a few rotten carpets, a cupboard that is falling apart, a TV that works but the satellite receiver doesn't work. The barbecue area has also seen better days. It seems to me as if nothing is invested in the facility for tourist campers and only permanent campers are catered for. The boss who can't even say hello back seems to me as if the campers are a thorn in his side. There are much better 3 star campsites in GermanyАутоматски преведено.
- Bianca K.June 2019PozitivnoBeautiful lake Good opportunities for cyclingNegativnoHigh price Many extra costsNice place, many extra costs, wrong descriptionThe description says: ...All pitches have access to CEE electricity connections as well as water and waste water connections.... That's why we booked there. Unfortunately, there is only a large meadow with electricity but no water or waste water. There were only pitches for permanent campers. You have... to buy extra tokens for hot water. We had booked a car (VW bus) at the site, but this was not appreciated on site. Since a child slept in the VW bus, we suddenly had to pay for it as a camper van, although we also had a caravan with us. We had booked here via Camping.Info, but unfortunately the staff on site seemed to be unaware of this possibility. With a few exceptions, the available Wi-Fi had no internet access and the signal was also very weak. The barrier entry was only regulated by the staff, there were waiting times. Two showers for the women were a bit tight. However, the washrooms were quite clean. Unfortunately, the washbasins were only equipped with cold water. There was one washbasin inside and one outside for washing up. Unfortunately, there was also only cold water outside and you always had the "smell" of the camping toilet emptying area in your nose. There were a lot of tents, caravans and caravan castles on the camping meadow, so it was noisy for quite a long time in the evening. The lake has a lovely little beach and is great for swimming. You can go on nice bike tours from the campsite. Due to the high price for the pitch, car, people, dog, electricity and various shower tokens, we unfortunately won't be returning to the Blauer See site. But it wasn't the last time we were in Emsland, it's well worth a visit.Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Blauer See Lünne/Emsland June 27, 2019A few comments on the many hidden extra costs: They don't exist. The only extra costs are the shower tokens.
- If someone wants to leave a van on the meadow because someone is staying in it overnight, it will of course be charged as a camper. This means €6 for the vehicle and €6 or €3.50 for the person....
- The barrier system opens automatically when you drive out. But NOT when you drive in, of course. So it can happen that someone has to wait 5-10 minutes when dozens of guests arrive at the same time at Corpus Christi and of course have to register in advance at reception. This is INTENTIONAL for your safety.
- You don't have to buy tokens for hot water, you simply get it in the kitchen, where you can also wash up with hot water free of charge.
- The showers (6 min.) cost one euro. Our showers run for two minutes longer than on most other pitches.
- The WLAN works perfectly! But when 200 guests are streaming football and music on the pitch with their cell phones, etc., even our 2 gigabit down/up line connected via fiber optics is brought to its knees. By the way, it's FREE!
It wasn't loud, but we were FULLY BOOKED. With lots of children and people talking in the evenings, because the weather was wonderful and it was FRON-LEICH-NAM weekend. The whole of NRW comes to camp with us for this long weekend. That should actually be clear beforehand if someone books at a certain time.
- Quite a high price is probably not correct. We charge €21.00 per night for two adults with electricity and a camper van, and only €18.00 without electricity. Which probably falls into the cheap camping category. We don't have any so-called.
- The showers are absolutely sufficient 360 out of 365 days a year. As is the entire OTHER infrastructure on the site. Except at Whitsun, Ascension Day and Corpus Christi, when there MAY be a bottleneck with the showers or washing-up areas, then you just take a shower 15 minutes later...
There are actually other campsites in the Emsland. Hanekenfähr, Camping an der Schleuse, Saller See etc. Have fun.Аутоматски преведено. - Claudia V.June 2019PozitivnoSmall place for permanent fighters in 2* category Friendly with attention to detailNegativnoNo card payment possible Lake open to everyone - including non-campers Approach in traffic jam without signposted waiting bay.Measured against ADAC value guidelines 2 * for comparabilityThe access to the lake is quite narrow and appears to be filled with sand. It is the only access to the bathing lake that is also used by other bathers for swimming and paddling. The meadow in front of it is densely packed with caravans, camper vans and tents, almost right up to the shore. The distance... between table and chair in the 1st row was less than 4 m to the man-made beach. We found no information about the water quality. There were exactly 2 showers in the main ladies' sanitary building. Hot water costs €1 for 7 minutes in exchange for a coin. The machine is from the outside. If you need more hot water, you have to leave the cubicle to throw in a token. The building itself stank and the toiletries were dirty. There are individual wash cubicles with WC and minimalist mirror. Standard toilet paper was available. Due to walking difficulties, we were very kindly allocated a pitch near the sanitary building. However, it was not possible to pitch an awning here. 81 € for 3 nights for 2 people and 3 dogs were full and had to be paid in advance. Card payment is NOT accepted. If we had known this beforehand, if it had been indicated on the homepage, we would not have gone to the campsite in the first place. Traveling with a lot of cash in our luggage or hopping from ATM to ATM is not our thing. A friendly service was the round tour by a lady who took orders for bread rolls for the next day. 2 rolls, 2 croissants and a roll topped with cheese cost €4.95 in cash. Readers are too expensive. They didn't want to invest €5 per booking. There would then be complaints again that the prices would have to be increased. There was 1 option with hot water for washing up. The two options outside only had cold water. At 9.30 the next morning, construction/landscaping work began on the site at around 100 decibels. After 1.5 hours of continuous noise, we packed up and were able to exchange shower tokens. None of the money paid in advance was returned. After all, maintenance work had to be done. Music and drunks in the sanitary building in the usual funny conversation too. The restaurant made a good 3* impression. We ate currywurst with chips. Delicious! Reasonable price and average, tidy, clean ambience. Whenever we deviated from the ADAC camping guide, we fell flat on our faces, and this was no exception. We consider 3* to be very daring in comparison to the ADAC rating. 2 * expresses it better. You can't walk directly around the lake either. There are houses on the lake with private property. Everything is fenced in. Dogs can be walked on a lead along the road. You will look in vain for poop bag collectors. We didn't make a mistake with any other place! Criticism seems to be seen as an attack and not as a way to find solutions.Аутоматски преведено.
- Thorsten G.June 2019Pozitivno-Location -Friendliness -Cleanliness -PriceAgain and againWe spent 4 nights in Miet Caravan Maxi at Whitsun. We were 2 adults and 3 children (12,4,1). Our rating is as follows: 1. location: The campsite is quietly located just outside on a beautiful lake with a great sandy beach. A wonderful location. Really idyllic. 2nd pitch: The site is not divided into... plots, which offers travelers with caravans or motorhomes a lot of flexibility. It can be put together. I experienced for myself how very friendly the wishes of the campers were met without ifs and buts. The site is super clean. I have even seen staff or even the boss himself picking up cigarette butts. Really great. You're never far from the sanitary facilities or the main building, lake, restaurant, playground, etc., as the campsite is very compact. 3. sanitary facilities: shower, toilet, washroom were always clean and sufficient even when the site was full. I would have liked something to dry my hands, but it was fine. 4. rental accommodation: We were completely satisfied with our caravan with awning. Everything was clean. Well equipped. Of course not the very latest but functional and unbeatable value for money. Perhaps 5 cake forks and a fifth plate would be an improvement. But we got along fine as it was. It was great that 2 parasols were available. We also used them. There were plenty of chairs and even a sun lounger. PRIMA. 5th service Bread roll service was used by us and was very uncomplicated. Unfortunately, the service had to be discontinued due to too few guests. But that is understandable. Nobody drives for 5 rolls. The nearest bakery is not far away ;-) We just got them ourselves. Every question and request was always answered and resolved to our complete satisfaction. It must also be said at this point that I have rarely experienced such friendly and helpful people as the operators of the campsite. A big compliment. You guys are great! 6. excursion destinations: We visited the zoo in Rheine. It's really worth a visit. There are various excursion destinations nearby. 7. gastronomy: The Blue Sea Restaurant offers really good food. The fries, bread and pasta are homemade and the meat is local. We ate there twice. 8. activities on offer: The free use of the boards is great. The children spent hours on the lake and enjoyed it. Great idea! We can definitely recommend the campsite. And one thing is clear: WE WILL BE BACK. We will definitely be back.Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Blauer See Lünne/Emsland June 17, 2019Hi Thorsten,
Nice that you liked it so much. And many thanks for the great review! We were all very happy about it, something we get far too rarely.
I've already passed on the cake forks to Lina ;-) She counts everything at the Maxi and stocks up :-)
As far as drying hands in the sanitary block is concerned,... this is always an issue, but we haven't yet found an environmentally friendly solution because we simply don't want to generate these huge amounts of paper towels... Maybe we'll see the light and find something useful with textile rolls that we can somehow clean ourselves. But it's very difficult.
All the best and see you again sometime!

We (my husband and I) are enthusiastic motorhome owners, but unfortunately we have to switch to a permanent pitch for various health reasons. ... We were here today. We had a super friendly welcome in modest weather and had a really nice chat with the site manager... and his partner. Everything was explained to me/us in detail. As my husband has difficulty walking, we were allowed to drive through the site in our car, for which I would like to thank him once again. The place was nice to look at despite the disgusting dirty weather, no ** lakes ** on the paths, the plots of the permanent campers clean and well-kept, (even in the corners we could see into). The large pitch was really exemplary. We are currently considering whether next year (depending on capacity) we will set up a nice, quiet vacation home here. The site exudes a sense of harmony, which is down to the good management of the operators.Аутоматски преведено.

To the place itself, it could be more well-kept... e.g. disposal there you can already hay or cobwebs everywhere.also I find two showers too few and soap should of course be available and not be brought by visitors.otherwise a beautiful lake that invites you to swim. Nice and good gastronomy.Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Blauer See Lünne/Emsland June 5, 2017Hello Iris,
thanks for the review. As for the confusion: Whitsun is a state of emergency. Everywhere and on every campsite. So that's more the norm on that date.
The number of showers is also only a little short at Whitsun. Otherwise, there is not the slightest problem in this respect all year round....
I personally think it's a bit unfair to call the pitch unkempt because there are cobwebs in the waste disposal building, especially as I'm the one who picks up every single cigarette butt on the pitch all day long. As for the hay: I completely mowed the pitch 4 days before Whitsun. It's not possible to mow the places where caravans have been parked for weeks. When these caravans leave at Whitsun, I'm certainly not going to get the ride-on mower out and make noise for a few hours while you're camping. So you'll have to live with it. As for tall grass on the permanent camping pitches, that's not my job, but that of the tenants.
The sanitary blocks, for example, are also cleaned three times a day at Whitsun.
Removing the cobwebs in the container house is pointless. They will be there again the next day. The container house is open and therefore cobwebs are unavoidable. As for the soap in the sanitary building: it's a work in progress. Unfortunately, it keeps getting demolished and stolen, no matter what solution we come up with, so it's pointless.
With that in mind, happy Pentecost and have a safe journey home ;-)

We liked the fact that there was... no big difference between camper vans, tents and caravans and that the lake was within easy reach. The bread roll service was also great, even if we didn't get the ones we ordered on the last day. What the heck, it's just part of it. However, it would be nice if the grass cuttings could be picked up. When it's wet, it sticks to your shoes everywhere. The sanitary facilities are fine, could just be 2 more showers per room and the toilet area sometimes smells a bit unpleasant. It would be nice to have a fixed soap dispenser with a fixed hand dryer so that you can wash your hands briefly. The caravan is 7 years old, which is quite new for a caravan. Incidentally, the age of a property usually says little about its condition or quality. The Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg is over 100 years old... The sanitary facilities... are definitely NOT dirty. They are cleaned up to 3 times a day. However, if someone has just made a real mess in front of you, you can't really blame us in this respect, but rather your fellow campers... We keep to the cleaning times very meticulously. When all hell breaks loose at Whitsun, it gets louder and dirtier more quickly. It's not possible to clean more than that. As for the smell of the waterless urinals, this has now been completely eliminated thanks to new technology.
On your caravan pitch (the campsite itself is very well-kept) there were indeed weeds in the joints and corners, we should have seen them earlier, our mistake. But that's the way it is outdoors, two or three days without supervision and the thistles are there.
As for your early departure, you only booked one night...?
The smell of urine in the men's urinals is indeed sometimes unpleasant. It's due to the modern new waterless technology. We actually regret every day that we converted them. Unfortunately, we haven't found a sustainable solution yet. Unfortunately. We'll keep at it. We are planning a completely new ventilation system for the sanitary building next year and hope that will help.
As you obviously have a fundamental problem with us, also in terms of friendliness etc., you should perhaps consider whether camping is the right thing for you, as a piece of well-meant advice.Аутоматски преведено. - N. Idyllic, natural campsite in the provinceA campsite where people still really camp! It's a bit more rustic here, of course, but you have peace and quiet (except at Whitsun). The real campers are in good hands here, as they always have soap with them. :-) If you want to camp there, you should be clear...don't expect 5-star luxury. It's the camper's... job to create their own 5-star accommodation in their tent, caravan or motorhome, etc. The surrounding area has 5-star nature to offer, you just have to look..., yes, sometimes nature (...a spider comes to visit you in the sanitary building) comes to people. After all, we're talking about camping here and not a hotel! Dear "glamor campers" who not only here but also at many other campsites on this platform make such completely exaggerated criticism... maybe just book a 5 star hotel instead! Oh how nice it was when camping really was camping... :-)... at least you can still enjoy it a little here. You should enjoy the tolerance of the fairly new owners ...at Whitsun even the young people are allowed to party a bit without being thrown off the site. Therefore ...that (except Whitsun) :-) ... but even then everything is done to please everyone. This place has been around for at least 40 years ... Of course you will come across one or two relics from the past, that is part of the ambience, the sanitary buildings have certainly been renovated, but everyone should be aware that it is not as fast-moving and does not immediately meet the very latest standards as a highly frequented tourist castle. Here, the strength lies in the peace and quiet! And anything you lack when camping, it's your own fault you're probably wrongly equipped ... ;-) Camper with wife and 3 children incl. dog with WoWa on site ...more often!!!Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Blauer See Lünne/Emsland June 8, 2017Very nicely to the point. Exactly our philosophy :-)
It's a shame that often only the negative reviews are written and the positive ones are taken home, but rarely published. Especially in such detail.
And yes, the sanitary buildings are being renovated bit by bit, as are the electrics and sewage pumping... stations, roads, facilities etc. This can only be spread out over years. This can only be spread over years on a site like ours with only 3 people.Аутоматски преведено. - Zielke K.July 2016PozitivnoVery nice reception and great service as well as the swimming lake.NegativnoThe wash house - A nice mural is unfortunately not enough. 2 showers are not enough when there are groups or many guests on the pitch.Nice place with small flawsThe site is very quiet and the highlight is the Blue Lake. Swimming in the lake is popular. However, the Seewiese is not parceled out and that's not so great. During our stay, those arriving were placed where there was still space, which then led to problems with the power supply (long distances for... cables etc.). The garbage house (garbage separation is top here!) causes unpleasant odors on the way to the wash house, too bad! The wash house is no longer up to date, two showers are not enough when groups are on the meadow or the site is well frequented, then the cleanliness suffers a little and the men's toilet starts to smell... What a pity! On the positive side, many things are made possible for groups. Thank you for that! The children's playground is good, but could offer a bit more... Overall verdict: nice place with minor flaws!Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Blauer See Lünne/Emsland August 19, 2016Thanks for the rating and the constructive criticism! Everything is correct. However, the number of shower cubicles has never really been a problem so far, only in exceptional cases, which are quite rare. But a complete renovation is definitely on the agenda, now that the entire electrical infrastructure... on the whole site is being renewed and then the sewage pumping system and nothing else vital and ludicrously expensive will be added :-(
We are just a small site and the priorities of the last 4 years had far more important points, although the sanitary building is already very important...
But in the near future the time has come. However, we will primarily only be renovating the showers and installing a few individual cubicles and fewer washbasins with more space. The communal character of the wash house from the 1950s (from the inside) is to be retained in an old-fashioned way. Incidentally, not only is the mural new, but everything was also renovated and repointed in May 2016 (except for the shower cubicles, which had to be completely renewed). In addition, a complete, extensive and award-winning solar system was installed in the Sanihaus in 2008, which was a huge step forward. As was the new tiled floor from 2008, previously there was only concrete. The rest will hopefully be done by the end of 2017 at the latest. It's all a question of turnover, so keep coming back long and often and we'll get it done a bit quicker ;-)

But YOU have been there for almost a week now. Somehow I don't understand that either.
Incidentally, we still find your "corrected"... or softened assessment quite disparaging, we somehow remembered the conversation differently. Bread roll service only from at least 40 rolls, not people. But it usually works well. But what the heck. Your opinion. The only constructive point we made was about the cleanliness of the washing machine area.
By the way, the "event with children's groups" that you have dubbed, which we have obviously not officially registered with you, are simply a few families with children, i.e. normal campers, who have been camping on our site for years and are ABSOLUTELY welcome, ESPECIALLY the children, who are always welcome here without reservation, especially during the vacation period and high season! And yes, they think the 6-minute hot showers are excellent and the price of one euro is very fair. Some even shower for 12 minutes (for 2 (TWO) €uros!)... The washing machine room was cleaned, like every two days. The dust comes from the tumble dryers, or rather from the laundry that is dried in them, because the dryer has no outside connection. There are brooms etc. on site so that everyone can sweep through after their own use at the latest.
You have refused the bread roll service yourself!!! But then complaining about it is probably the bottom drawer. Shopping facilities (large food market plus drinks market plus DIY market plus petrol station plus camping gas plus restaurant are 500m as the crow flies from the campsite at Raiffeisen. A butcher and a bakery: 700m as the crow flies, the bank too, a kiosk: 400m as the crow flies. Not bad for a village of 1000 people in the deepest Pleene. 5 minutes by bike, 2 minutes by car. It's just a small campsite without its own shopping mall in the middle of nature and not on the outskirts of Hamburg.
And yes, WLAN is indeed quite expensive. It's up to our provider, we have no influence on it, but it's not a problem. I've only known camping vacations without WiFi, satellite TV and electricity for 40 years and I don't miss it on vacation either. If you need it, you just pay 5 €uro per day or not. We have no influence on that anyway. We're actually quite happy that we have internet at all. It was a struggle to get it working. And when everyone isn't camping with their smartphone in front of them all the time, we find it very relaxing. Strange children even play together on the beach and playground. Without any TV or internet. It brings back memories...

Greetings to Danny!Аутоматски преведено. - Frank Z.May 2016PozitivnoGreat SEENegativnoOperators must learn to learn from criticismVery nice campsite with LOTS of potential for improvementUnfortunately, I had to realize that it might really be better to visit other campsites. Dear operator: Reviews should give other campers an overview of what to expect when they come to you. But also to give you the opportunity to learn from objective criticism in the future. Fact is: The campsite is... in a very good condition and a lot of time is certainly invested in the maintenance of the facilities. The toilet facilities are of a normal standard after the renovation, which is certainly ok, but if you explicitly point out the super cleanliness, you should invite friends or family over and have them take a look if you yourself are already blind to the operation at such an early stage. Very dirty corners, cobwebs and smudged, streaky wall tiles are no indication of cleanliness and you can't blame the user of the quiet little place for this. As we all know with toilets, if the previous user doesn't flush and doesn't use the brush, no matter how hard the operator tries, he doesn't stand a chance. But campers don't bring spiders with them, they're just there. The cleanliness is more like a poorly maintained cellar room than a well-maintained sanitary area. Let's move on to the washrooms: the same principle applies here. The charm of the old days would be nice, but rusty soap dishes and equally rusty clothes rakes, encrusted shower heads and finally just disgusting mold and limescale stains in the entire shower area are no longer charming but much more disgusting. Anyone who puts up so many signs with rules and instructions all over the campsite to point out correct behavior to the campers should set up a proper cleaning plan for themselves, stick to it and of course also check it self-critically and if you think what does he want from me now, just get help to show and explain cleanliness to them. Scolding badly behaving campers doesn't really help them, asking them to visit other campsites is more helpful, but then at some point the visitors they actually need (i.e. the campers) won't show up. On the subject of dog excrement, I agree with you that every dog owner should always clean up after their four-legged friend immediately, but if you as the operator talk about poo and pooches, you don't need to ban dogs, because the dog owner will thankfully refrain from visiting you. There were no shopping facilities directly on the site apart from ice cream and bread rolls. Addendum: Reference to shopping facilities serves other campers!!! And the operator's statement says it all!!! Basic cleaning of the sanitary facilities in April! In April??? So a bit of a wipe every day is certainly not enough to get or keep such facilities clean. And sad that I thought it was rust on the coat hooks I admit I didn't take samples, if they are made of plastic and cast iron I almost have to assume that maybe there was also sch.... on them, at least the condition is questionable. Even if the joints were renewed in April 2016, the question arises as to how they can look like this at the end of May with regular, proper cleaning. As I said, unfortunately not open to criticism. Unfortunately, I don't know the condition 4 years ago. It's nice if they have already improved a lot since then from their descriptions, but as I said, there is a lot of potential for improvement. And I haven't criticized your work in the outdoor area at all - on the contrary, you can clearly see the efforts to keep everything in great condition. My criticism is directed solely at the alleged cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. Camping today and camping yesterday are not up for debate. In the early days there were also the thunderbolt and plum toilets, but we don't want to go back to that, do we? It's not about the latest standard, nor about marble, radio and underfloor heating, but only about CLEANLINESS and this should always be a top priority at every campsite today. I'm not allowed to make any comparisons with other campsites, but believe me, there are some that have the charm of the 70s but haven't lost it because they are constantly working on their cleanliness.Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Blauer See Lünne/Emsland June 26, 2016There's nothing to add to that: Just never visit us again and, if you like, pass the word. We will thankfully do without such guests!Аутоматски преведено.
