- Mandy H.October 2021PozitivnoQuiet location, great view, friendly operators, huge network of hiking trailsNegativnoSloping meadow (chocks are an advantage). Sanitary facilities with two showers for men and women and two sinks. This could be quite tight when fully occupied.Simple campsite, but in an absolutely quiet location.Situated on a high plateau and far away from any major roads, the campsite is absolutely quiet in the off-season and you have a fantastic view of the surrounding wooded mountain peaks. The few camping guests were generously spread across the spacious meadow. As the meadow slopes slightly to the west,... you have long hours of sunshine at the upper end and can enjoy the sunsets wonderfully. You should, however, have a couple of wheel chocks with you. Unfortunately, as it was already low season, the associated "Pfaffenstein" inn only offered food to go and a bread roll service. We were informed of this in good time when we made our reservation so that we could look for an alternative as we were traveling without any dishes. We found this in the Landgasthof "Frankenstern" in Behringersmühle, 5 minutes away by car. Out-of-home guests are always welcome here, whether for the breakfast buffet or in the evening. When booking the campsite, it is best to ask whether the "Pfaffenstein" inn is open and offers hot meals and breakfast for the desired period. The oven-fresh Schäufele on Saturday evening certainly looked very tasty. We were welcomed and greeted in a very friendly manner. The reservation was also friendly and uncomplicated. The campsite's sanitary facilities are functional and clean. However, there is very little space in the shower cubicles. We stayed for two nights in our 3-door Golf V with light luggage and really enjoyed our stay.Аутоматски преведено.

- Frank B.September 2018PozitivnoQuiet and beautiful view, good inn.NegativnoOld sanitary facilities, long way to the nearest shopping facilities.Well suited for relaxingWe stayed at this site for 3 nights in September. It belongs to the "Pfaffenstein" inn and consists of a few permanent campers on terraced terrain and two unparceled meadows for tourists. Some of the meadows are very sloping, which makes it difficult to park a camper van reasonably straight. Electricity... connections are only available at the large tourist meadow and only directly at the access road. Due to the exposed location on the ridge, you are very exposed to the weather - you should take this into account when choosing a pitch! The sanitary facilities are clean, but very old and could do with renovation. Their capacity is probably not sufficient for a fully occupied tourist site - there are not enough toilets and sinks in particular. The innkeepers are very friendly and courteous - they also serve very good, hearty food - if you don't like meat, you can get an improvised salad plate that is second to none. So you don't have to starve there - but the nearest shopping facilities are relatively far away.Аутоматски преведено.
- Marc G.August 2018PozitivnoQuiet Super restaurant Operator Tourist destinations Magnificent scenic areaNegativnoSanitary facilities no longer up to dateNot ideal for everyoneThe site was intended as a stopover on the way to Upper Bavaria and to visit the Playmobil Funland in Zirndorf. First of all, this place is quiet - really quiet. So it's not really suitable for children, even though there is a play tower on the meadow. The tent meadow is slightly sloping and there are... only electricity connections at the back, along the path. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and no longer meet today's standards, but they are adequate. On the other hand, the quiet location and generally relaxed atmosphere on the camping meadow are great. The restaurant run by the very friendly owners is great, with the best Franconian cuisine and delicious beer in a very cozy atmosphere. There are several places of interest in the surrounding area, such as the numerous caves or the Forchheimer Kellerwald for people who want to drink their way through the local beers. The proximity to cities such as Bamberg, Erlangen and Nuremberg is also interesting. What you should take to heart is the information on the operator's homepage about how to get there, it's quite a steep and narrow affair. However, as there were also maxi camper vans on the meadow, it seems to work somehow.Аутоматски преведено.
- Benny K.June 2016PozitivnoRest FoodNegativnoPlace somewhat on a slopeOne nightStayed here for one night at short notice. It was very quiet. But the next day we had a great Franconian lunch! The restaurant is very good and the owners very friendly!Аутоматски преведено.
- Olaf R.June 2016PozitivnoLocation, FoodNegativnoSanitarySimple campsiteA campsite where there are mainly permanent campers. Outside there is a large sloping meadow with few electricity connections. The location is wonderful, the food perfect, only the toilets/showers could be renovated and enlarged.Аутоматски преведено.
- Marcella L.March 2016PozitivnoBeautiful view, very quiet and in the middle of nature.NegativnoWhen it rains, the meadow pitch is almost impassable for caravans.RusticAbsolutely friendly CP operators. Economy with good Franconian cuisine. In the rain it is very very slippery on the meadow area. This is very problematic if you are towing a caravan. If you don't have four-wheel drive you quickly get stuck. So be careful in the rain. Very quiet area. The sanitary building is really rustic but clean.Аутоматски преведено.Одговорио Campingplatz Moritz May 23, 2016If the meadow is wet, we are happy to offer our help with the tractor and position the caravan using a trailer coupling so that your car can be protected.Аутоматски преведено.
