In the meantime, the site has been converted into more of a bungalow park. Nevertheless, there are still many pitches available. Each pitch has about 100 square meters. Many of them are screened off by a hedge.
A new swimming pool, a large playground and... new sanitary facilities have significantly improved the quality.
The complete online booking with allocation of pitches and direct access to the site is excellent. The staff were always friendly and helpful if we had any questions.
Even though the beach is not far away, you should plan to bring bicycles. It's quite a distance on foot.Аутоматски преведено.- D. It was our 5th pitch out of 6. The location is particularly noteworthy. It's just a short walk to the huge beach, where you can go for wonderful walks. We were able to let our dog run around unleashed as this was allowed until 15.5.... When we arrived, we had to check in at the machine, be careful, the machine doesn't take cash! For the fact that it was still low season and we were only 2 people and 1 dog, I thought the price was definitely too high. Especially for the fact that there was no staff on site. The site consists of separate plots, which were very well maintained. However, when we had to go to the sanitary facilities, the image of the outside area was very tarnished. There was no more toilet paper, it was dirty, cold and cramped, and above all there was no separation of male and female and no hand soap. I think that should be a basic requirement for both a campsite and a pitch these days. There were two toilets and four showers for a total of 51 pitches. If there were four people per motorhome, that would mean over 200 people a day coming and going several times a day. I don't want to know how many germs were there. Fortunately, we only stayed there for one night. I would like to see at least one more toilet and shower block set up there and the sanitary facilities cleaned several times a day and soap and toilet paper provided. There was also a dog toilet there. When we took a quick look at it, we noticed a relatively strong stench even from a distance. You can imagine what this means for dogs' noses. Just throwing some sand there and putting a pole in the middle doesn't make it a dog toilet in my book. Dogs also feel more comfortable in a clean, neutral-smelling environment. The high price is absolutely not justified due to the uncleanliness of the sanitary facilities, even if the super beach is just around the corner. Families with children won't get their money's worth here either. Lots of leisure activities.NegativnoPrivate sanitary facilities no longer available from 2017.Great place with small restrictionsWe spent ten days on the site in summer 2016. It's a huge site, but it's nicely divided up, giving the impression of a smaller site in many places. We were on the Duunzicht field and had a huge pitch with private sanitary facilities. There are extensive playgrounds for children in many places and leisure... facilities that are also aimed at German guests. I can't comment on the quality of the general sanitary facilities as I didn't use them. However, the operator has responded to the criticism left in other reviews and created new opportunities in many places on the site with fairly new, small sanitary blocks. The snack bar is excellent and reasonably priced (by North Sea standards). We also only experienced friendly staff. And the catch? Unfortunately, the Duunzicht field and probably the neighboring fields will have to make way for the construction of bungalows next year. Despite full dog places not noisy. They all had their noses under control. The sanitary facilities have not changed. But some of the guests had a flood of sense after me. So that wasn't the case. The rest:... Super! Reception very helpful. We didn't think it was a bad thing that the dog parking spaces were "remote". But quickly at the exit to the beach. There are fur noses from 01.05 to 01.10 from 09.00 clock to 19.00 clock to keep on a leash. Before and after that you may run free. For your information... Anyone "caught" by the public order office without a poop bag will pay a three-figure fine. At least in the Rotterdam area. The beach is huge. Plenty of space despite the high season. The drive-in probably refers to the booking system which makes a visit to the reception virtually superfluous. However, there was a problem with our booking that they wanted to solve by hanging up the phone!!! The tourist fields are at the back and some are... poorly signposted. The pitches are all well maintained and some of the individual plots are very large. The biggest drawback is the sanitary building, which was really appalling. The building dates back to the 1980s and has apparently not been renovated since it was built. Outside toilets with no occupancy or vacancy detection, narrow shower cubicles with no shelves (only every second shower head was really usable), broken or non-functioning taps, exposed and defective sockets (at child height) and, last but not least, an unpleasant musty smell throughout the building. Dear Drive In Camperpark team: This is not acceptable and is no longer up to date. Therefore no stars for sanitary and cleaning because it was very manageable. And then another point of criticism. Why is it not possible to offer a bread roll service on a long weekend when the site is fully booked. The nearest supermarket is a 15-20 minute walk away. Booked in advance, drove there and checked in, everything was simple and uncomplicated. The site was large but quiet and everything was relaxed. Great pitches with sufficient infrastructure. Electricity water everything there. Pitches are separated by small hedges, we thought... it was great. Large playgrounds and the spaciousness round everything off. Well-stocked supermarket has everything you need. Very good bar where you can also have a snack. Frikandel fries etc.. The fish trolley was also great! The sanitary facilities were a bit outdated and would benefit from a thorough renovation. Unfortunately, everything is no longer so contemporary (toilets outside / dixi deluxe), ... too bad, does not really fit the place. To the sea it is about 2km but easy to reach on foot. The site is clean, tidy and well structured. Very suitable for families. To the water's edge about 600m, beach good similar to Sankt Peter Ording!***** Only we as dog owners are pushed to two areas near a surf camp. The... rest are not allowed to enter the dog! Certainly a noisy corner in summer! Dog toilet available, but small and not suitable, but the will counts! Close to the beachWe had our caravan here for 3 months. The site is quite large, but of course there are also some permanent campers. I can only agree with the opinions of the previous reviews. Restaurant / snack bar - top ....Playground - top .... Animation - top .... Proximity to the beach - great ..... Sanitary ...... well, it would be nice if they were renovated. There are so-called 4-person boxes with shower and WC on the individual pitches. The main house is getting on in years ... WC from the outside ... can get a bit chilly in spring :) ....
