"Nice summer vacation with 3 small children - The place is actually very nicely located and offers everything you need. Small shop with delicious bread rolls on site. 3 different children's playgrounds, small swimming pool. Children's entertainment. Children's pool. Short walk to a great sandy beach and beach restaurant. Many leisure activities near and far. Shopping facilities within walking distance. The wash house was renovated a few years ago, but is too small at peak times and therefore too crowded. The green maintenance on the site could be more careful. Weeds are on the advance in many places. Nettles on the paths are particularly unsightly. The paths were very narrow for our caravan. Without a mover, we would have found it difficult to push the caravan from the main path to the pitch. The sanitary building is cleaned underground. One toilet area is always closed. You are then asked to go to the facilities of the opposite sex. It would be desirable to carry out the cleaning very early in the morning. However, the price/performance is still okay. We still had a great vacation.

"Small but mighty! - We were there for 9 days in summer 2023. The site was fully booked to the last pitch. The sanitary building is modern and was always clean. There were only very short waiting times (for the men) from time to time in the morning or evening. The parking of the caravan was positive. All in one direction to protect from the wind. This was recommended in the reception. And that was a good thing! The pitches (Premium) are really huge, as the car has to be parked on separate parking spaces close to the pitch. The aircraft noise is like music to my ears. Depending on the direction of take-off and landing, there is a lot going on in the sky. If this bothers you, you should avoid the area! As the site is relatively small, it was really quiet during our stay. We were out and about a lot by bike. Great cycle paths and The Hague is about 25 km away and Leiden (a little insider tip) only about 8 km. The campsite made a great impression overall. We didn't use the swimming pool and restaurant.

"Good place with proximity to the sea - We went to Katwijk on a recommendation. The site is not very big, so it's ideal for families with children. The reception was very friendly. The flight path of Amsterdam airport was annoying. The planes sometimes flew very low. The restaurant and snack bar were closed and the very small supermarket was only open from 8:00-10:30. However, there are supermarkets nearby and Katwijk as a tourist stronghold has many restaurants and shopping facilities. The beach is within walking distance, but you can also go by bike. You can rent umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach at reasonable prices, but the drinks in the beach pavilion are too expensive. The name swimming pool is misleading, there is one indoor and one outdoor mini pool, but they are closed at 18:00.

"nice campsite, close to the sea - Pitch close to the sea, pitches large enough, driveways sometimes narrow. The sanitary facilities were sufficient in number and were cleaned at least 3 times a day. The reception was friendly and quick, with all the necessary information. Bread rolls are available in the morning from 8am to 10:30am (delicious and plenty of choice), unfortunately both the snack bar and the restaurant were closed. The swimming pool is open from 10am to 5pm, the opening times were not good for us as we were traveling at that time. Swimming before or after would have been good. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is only available for a fee and is supposed to be fast (we didn't test it ourselves), but it's not worth buying a Wi-Fi ticket just to check the weather forecast and email once a day. Cycle paths pass right by the site and in a few minutes you are on the beach where there are also beach restaurants. The site is in the flight path of Amsterdam Schiphol, but this doesn't bother you at night as the airport is in the process of reducing night flights.

Recreatiecentrum De Noordduinen offers you everything you need for a richly varied holiday. The name already gives away the location - in the dunes north of Katwijk aan Zee. The stretch of dunes between Katwijk and Noordwijk is a beautiful …area. The North Sea, which has the broadest sandy beaches in the Netherlands, is just at your doorstep! Only one small dune is separating you from a day of relaxation at the beach. Is the weather not that good? The surroundings offer a host of possibilities whether you want an active or a more laidback holiday. By car De Noordduinen is scarcely 15 minutes away from Leiden and cities like The Hague and Amsterdam are also easy to get to. The terraced camping grounds are conveniently sheltered by the dunes with abundant plants and bushes. The set-up of De Noordduinen is playful and intimate. The site has 200 tourist pitches, 70 of which are so-called comfort pitches with water and sewer connections. In addition, there are 200 annual and seasonal pitches. All pitches have access to electricity, cable television and Wi-Fi. Even if you do not have a caravan or tent but instead would like to rent a luxury bungalow in the dunes on the seaside, then De Noordduinen is the perfect place for you. We have a wide variety of rental accommodations available, distributed all over the park.
