- Arthur K.June 2023PozitivnoVery nice and friendly managed place at the lakeNegativnoNone..... It depends on what you wantAlways nice to be here...Very nice and friendly place on the lake...
Always happy to come back here, even with children.
The natural outdoor pool is also greatАутоматски преведено. - Lars W.May 2022PozitivnoDirect location on the Biggesee, size of the pitchesNegativnoNo water and waste water connection at the pitchNature campingWe have stayed at this campsite several times. The reception is always uncomplicated, as is the billing. The pitches behind the bridge are large enough. The wash house is close by, the cleanliness is mostly okay, but over Ascension Day and Corpus Christi, when the site is full, sometimes not quite optimal.... However, this is not due to the cleaning staff, who clean the rooms twice a day. There are separate rooms for showers and toilets. The number of toilets and showers is borderline, when it is full there can be waiting times. There is a kitchen and several fridges and freezers. There is also a recreation room in the sanitary building.
The focus here is on nature. Bathing in the lake (which is a small reservoir of the Biggesee) is very pleasant. A bicycle is suitable for the path to the lake from the rear of the site. There is also a small playground for children, table tennis tables and a football pitch (quite uneven).
Bread rolls must be ordered in the evening. The restaurant is just outside the campsite.
There are no luxuries on the site. There are no water or waste water connections.
Overall, a great place to enjoy nature. The cycle path is right in front of the pitch.Аутоматски преведено. - A. H.March 2022PozitivnoGreat natural placeNegativnoVery unfriendly staff!Unfriendly receptionWe were there today personally to get a picture of the place where we wanted to spend our next vacation. The reception was anything but friendly. Immediately after the barrier, a very unfriendly gentleman barked at us with "what we wanted here". Next we were told to put on a mask (outdoors!). When we... asked if we just wanted to have a look at the campsite and if we could get a flier of the campsite, the only answer was that it was closed and there was no one in the office. We should look on the Internet. The guys (operators) seem to be doing quite well at the moment when they talk to potential customers like that. For us, this place is finished! Since according to other reviews this unfriendly tone is apparently common there, maybe they should think about it!
My conclusion: not recommended!Аутоматски преведено. - Ilka F.August 2021PozitivnoVery quiet location, sanitary facilities always cleanNegativnoVarious, see commentQuiet location, functional placeWe got our pitch for 2 booked weeks in the rear area, far away from the lake. We stood between permanent campers, who were very nice, but then not on the pitch during the week. A very strange atmosphere when you consider that there were free pitches all around. You might as well sit alone on the terrace... at home. At least I don't just see locked caravans around me.
Internet and telephone reception were heavily dependent on the weather. I was shocked by a midday shutdown with the barrier closed for two hours.
The pitches are small and everyone tries to fit their car in somewhere. Some of the power boxes were broken and only closed with a strap. When you opened them, the heavy lids fell on your feet. Water was only available from the wash house in our pitch area.
The playground is partly broken and closed.
All in all a pity, it could be a nice place if only a little more effort was made.Аутоматски преведено. - Isa D.September 2020Pozitivnovery spacious places, very nice staff, cleanNegativnononeBeautiful place on the BiggeThe campsite is right on the water. The pitches are spacious. The sanitary facilities are clean and there was always soap, paper towels and disinfectant available.
You can order bread rolls for the next day every day until 5pm.
The part of the Bigge that is directly at the campsite is very quiet and... therefore great for standup paddling, especially for beginners, but you can also swim in the lake.
The staff were always friendly and even gave us another pitch so that we could look out over the lake from the second row, really great...
The campsite is a great starting point for bike tours, hikes and also for exploring the Sauerland by car. There are a few viewing towers, e.g. the BiggeBlick or the Hohe Bracht. Both the parking lot and the tum were free, which is tourist-friendly.Аутоматски преведено. - Familie G.July 2020PozitivnoLocation, directly on the Bigge Good starting point for hikes through the SauerlandNegativnoSanitary in the years, partly mold, sometimes cold showersNature camping directly on the BiggeBeautiful small campsite on the Bigge with its own beach access. Ideal for swimming, boating and SUP. Good starting point for hikes. Reception listless, no information and little information even when asked. Nice crowd. - Andries J.July 2019PozitivnoNice swimming waterNegativnoLugging your own stuffLugging your own luggageIf you are camping with a tent, you have to wheel your stuff to the site by wagon. There are only 2 of them and they are occupied when you need them. If your back hurts you have a little problem so. I had put the car on the camping field anyway, but I was treated unsympathetically by the camping boss. Consultation was not appreciated.Аутоматски преведено.
- Ingrid U.July 2018PozitivnoCleanliness, dogs are also not a PROBLEM.NegativnoNo cell phone reception .Everything superThe sanitary facilities are clean, the staff very friendly, the pitches spacious.Аутоматски преведено.
- Elena C.May 2018PozitivnoPeace, bathing, swimming, relaxation, fantastic shore pitchesNegativnoNot for people who don't like dogsA place of restWe felt very comfortable. Such nice operators... Everything was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Even on the hot weekend it wasn't a bit crowded. Simply fantastic for swimming and paddling! Overall, the place could be a bit better maintained. The benches, for example, could do with a coat of paint... The sanitary facilities are old but clean.Аутоматски преведено.
- Hilde ,Georg und Toby 🐾🐾 J.June 2017PozitivnoPure natureNegativnoHardly any cell phone reception but that didn't bother usGreat campsite in the SauerlandWe (2 adults, 1 dog) stayed with our caravan on this site for 3 nights over Whitsun. We had a beautiful pitch by the forest and there was a stream behind the caravan. Pure nature. We had a key so we could go for a walk with our dog through a gate in the forest. When we arrived we were taken to our pitch... by the groundsman, the staff were very friendly and the sanitary facilities were clean, everything was fully booked that weekend and we liked it. You can go on great hikes and find many dreamy bays by the lake.Аутоматски преведено.
- Florian B.August 2016PozitivnoGreat location, quiet, swimming, clean, bread rollsNegativnoHardly any cell phone reception!Sauerland idyll despite high seasonBeautiful, natural, spacious place with nice people! Relaxed despite the high season - fantastic, natural swimming facilities, well-kept, intact sanitary facilities, small shop, open to the lake, but also surrounded by forest, crossed by a small stream - a real "cool camping" site!Аутоматски преведено.

- Michaela S.May 2015Pozitivno2 sanitary blocks...hot showers are included (shower with partition so that clothes don't get wet), free cooking & cooling facilitiesNegativnolittle cell phone network, but on vacation you don't always have to be reachable, right?^^Idyllic campsite nestled in a valley, super sanitary house + cooking, etcHi, this is a really idyllic campsite right on the shore of the Biggesee (unfortunately without water this year due to dam renovation, but the empty, bizarre-looking basin also has its visual appeal^^). From here you can start great excursions to the Sauerland (Elspe, Panoramapark, in winter even skiing... 10km away in Olpe-Fahlenscheid, great family swimming pool in Olpe, hiking, etc. etc. etc.)! We personally love the 2 sanitary blocks... Hot showers are included (shower with partition so that your clothes don't get wet), you can cook in the kitchens at any time (we've rarely seen this on a campsite before!) and wash up, there are fridges that can be used free of charge... And there is a recreation room incl. TV... There is a simple playground for kids, although ours also love to explore the Bieke (small stream - a bit fuller when it rains^^) and find "treasures" there.... There are table tennis tables... Dogs are allowed on a leash... You can order fresh bread rolls in the morning... There is a separate "baby washroom" including a baby bathtub and a laundry room that is handicapped accessible. Of course there is also a washing machine and dryer. The whole complex is nestled in a valley that couldn't be more beautiful! We really enjoy coming here! It's a really great campsite!Аутоматски преведено.

- Wolfgang F.September 2014PozitivnoClean, quiet, close to nature, nice surroundingsSatisfied all round!Naturcamping Biggesee, the right name for the site directly on the forebay of the Biggesee. We were there in September with our two dogs. The pitch right on the shore was spacious and the view was brilliant. The sanitary facilities are sufficient and clean, but the walls in the buildings urgently need... a new coat of paint and better ventilation! The staff were always nice and helpful, I can't share the experiences that some people here have had with the staff, especially the groundsman. The groundsman was always very nice and did his job well! The restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the campsite offers very good and plentiful food. The landlord is a real entertainer ;-). We were very satisfied and will definitely be back next year!!!Аутоматски преведено.
- E. Helene K.September 2014PozitivnoGreat location/directly on the water Clean and tidy Friendly staffNegativnononeSimply topWe are completely satisfied with the facility. - David I.September 2014PozitivnoSuper location with beautiful surroundingsNegativnoUnfriendly staffGood place/unfriendly staffVery nice location but very unfriendly staff. Too few garbage cans on the site. All in all I would not use this campsite again as there are much better options in the area.Аутоматски преведено.
- Thomas H.September 2014PozitivnoVery well located, close to the water and good connection to highway/country road, not too remoteNegativnoUnfriendly employee (behavior/manner)Place I.O. but expandable / missing some standardsThe site was chosen with the following in mind: In your own environment (i.e. not too close and not too far away), not too far from civilization and not too close either. No unknown country-specific peculiarities (language barriers, behavior and customs, etc.). The site is equipped with a central building... where you can wash up, cook, wash, change and shower. A great concept for such a "small" campsite. But of course there is also the other side of the coin. There were too few disposal options (garbage cans). In addition, they were not labeled, on other campsites you get a "waste guide" on the first day. Sometimes even with a site plan. This also includes the rules of conduct. From experience, the surrounding campers were asked if the music was too loud or if something else was disturbing them (creates a good atmosphere). However, what is also a problem at this site is the staff. Whether it's a bossy/aggressive security guard or an unfriendly member of staff. In this case, it was the campground attendant who had an aggressive demeanor and displayed slightly choleric behavior. He apparently didn't know the saying "As you call into the forest, so it sounds out". I probably won't visit this site a second time, as there are several other sites in the area that you can try out.Аутоматски преведено.
