- Pascal S.August 2024PozitivnoBeautiful large camping site, close to the town of Rab.NegativnoBeach and pool area too small. There is hardly any space to lie down. Lots of wild cats up to mischief at night.Vacation on RabBeautiful campsite,
In the immediate vicinity of the old town of Rab. The sea is shallow.Аутоматски преведено. - Lysann E.August 2024PozitivnoCab boat to Rab (town), clean sanitary facilities, child-friendly pool areaNegativnoNo real disadvantages - it's a matter of taste whether you like it here or notAll-round careBooking worked out wonderfully - the campsites are mostly shady, spacious, flat and cleanly parceled out by the neighbors. The sanitary facilities are spotless and always clean. There is a central square with a good grocery store, fashion store, organic fruit and vegetable stall, bakery, café and ice... cream parlor - there is hardly anything left to be desired. There is an aqua park on the narrow beach, the water is shallow and sandy. The pool area offers slides and play facilities for children, a deeper pool for swimming, free sun loungers and a bar. There are several good restaurants. The cab boat service (4€ p.p.) to Rab town directly from the campsite was particularly positive. There is also a sports field, beautifully situated mobile homes - nothing is missing! The staff are friendly and mostly speak German. The evening entertainment program (magic show, live music) naturally echoes throughout the campsite. If you hardly want to move from the campsite and are looking for all the infrastructure and entertainment on site, this is the perfect place for you. The square is probably too commercial for individualists. We found it good for a short stopover of three nights with children. I probably wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.Аутоматски преведено.
- Edgar W.August 2024PozitivnoFirst the positive: The washrooms and toilets are super clean. But: The place is far too full. Every last available space is taken. Small spaces. Only trickles of water come out of the shower. The most annoying thing. From 8:00 in the morning there is no more space on the beach. This is because this is not a private beach but a public beach. That's not really possible with the horrendous prices for the pitch. Far too expensive. Rab is already quite expensive overall. Sorry, but we won't be coming here again.NegativnoToo expensiveUnfortunately the first and last timeFirst the positive:

Pitches freely selectable. We had a nice big shady pitch. The sandy beach is great for children, you can walk into the sea forever. If you don't like that, there are also stony bays. The dog beach is one of them. Good for small dogs to freshen up.... Watch out for lots of sea urchins. The town of Rab can be reached by bike along the beach promenade in 10 minutes. Restaurants on site very good. Staff of the entire CP super friendly. "Our" wash house was closed but we were credited 20% 👍🏼Аутоматски преведено.
- B. M.July 2022PozitivnoProximity to the town of RabNegativnoVery small beach area Very small poolOverbooked spaceIn general, the place is quite ok. As written in some other reviews, the beach and pool area is unfortunately very small, so it is difficult to get a suitable sunbathing spot in high season.
As we knew this from the start, it wasn't a big problem.
The thing that didn't work at all for us (and some other... vacationers) was the booking.
As you know, you can only book in certain zones at Valamar but not a specific place. So far ok.
So we booked a place in the pool area back in spring 22. Even though I was aware that this would not be taken into account (as you know from Valamar), I indicated a pitch request, which was added to the booking. Two days before arrival, I had already completed the online check-in and entered my arrival time. I therefore assumed that a pitch would be available in the pool area when I arrived.
Unfortunately, I was wrong. When I arrived, I was told that there was no space available in the zone I had booked! Allegedly not a mistake on the part of the campsite, but Valamar overbooks the zones so that the booked category may not be available. We also could not be told when a place in the booked zone would become available. So we had to switch to a pitch in another zone for one day. I realized that this was not an isolated case.
It should be possible for a company like Valamar to set up a sensible booking system that allows you to book specific pitches for a specific time. As long as this is not possible and you now even have to assume that you won't even get into the booked zone, I will avoid Valamar campsites.Аутоматски преведено. - Torsten K.July 2022PozitivnoGood location to RAB by bike 10 min to walk about 20 min.NegativnoSmall plots near the beachBeautiful campsite with sandy beachGood campsite on RAB with sandy beach. Sufficient sanitary blocks of varying quality. Pool more suitable for children. Shallow beach. Cab boat runs regularly directly from the campsite to RAB. There are plenty of moorings for boats. All in all a good place to relax. Pitches can be selected on arrival... according to category, provided there are enough available. Poolside can also be used for larger boats and is partly shaded. Poolside directly at the entrance is small and in direct sunlight.Аутоматски преведено.
- Thomas M.August 2021PozitivnoActually only the weather.Negativno- Pitches too small, everything close together - no midday rest, cars drove on the pitch even after 22:00 on the pitch. - No separate washing area (washing area in the toilet area). - Showers and toilets were not cleaned properly. - Dog beach made of concrete, full of sea urchins, no lying possibilities and no access for the dog to the water. to the water.Unfortunately not as expected! From 07.08.2021 to 20.08.2021 I was with my wife our two children (13 and 10 years),
as well as our dog Jonny on this campsite.
The sanitary facilities were cleaned twice a day, but more sporadically the dirt at the beginning
of the vacation until the end was never properly removed. The beach, if you... can talk about it
5 meters wide and maybe 150 meters long. You lie like oil sardines close together with no trace of Corona.
The so-called dog beach consists of concrete slabs eroded by salt water directly on the cycle and footpath.
footpath. There is not a single opportunity to lie down in the shade or to create shade with the help of a sunshade.
shade with the help of a parasol.
Nobody could get into the water there, not even the dog, because there were more sea urchins in the water than stones.
Unfortunately, there was no midday rest and the cars were still driving after 10pm.
Our pitch was near the sports field, which was hardly used because of the good weather.
However, two days before our departure, the peace and quiet was over there too! The sports club from Rab was able to train there
train there from around 08:00 to 13:00 and also in the evenings.Аутоматски преведено. - Caro S.July 2020PozitivnoClose to the cute little town of Rab, good locationNegativnosmall beachBeautiful campsite for the whole familyWe liked the campsite very much. The staff is friendly, there is a small promenade with a restaurant, small boutiques, a well-stocked supermarket, hairdresser, ice cream parlor, bar, bakery and fruit store (closed due to Corona). The pool was particularly suitable for children but nice and clean.
We... really liked the poolside seats. We had a beautiful view of the sea and despite the proximity to the pool, it wasn't too loud during the day. In addition, the pitches were parceled out (meadow/gravel surface) and large enough.
We wouldn't have liked the pitches directly on the beach because of the hustle and bustle. We felt that we were sitting on a plate there.
The beach is very narrow and was very, very crowded despite Corona. But still clean and very clear water. The beach was coarse-grained sand/fine gravel. And the water was very shallow.
You couldn't find any longer walks with dogs, but there are 2 exercise enclosures for dogs. Dog waste bags were also available. The campsite's dog beach is small but adequate.
Tip: A 10-minute walk takes you to the beautiful "Monty's Dog Beach" (with dog parkour, sun loungers and dog shower as well as a bar etc.). Absolute recommendation!!!).
The sanitary facilities are a bit older but always sufficiently clean and functional!
The town of Rab can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes and is a pretty little town.
We enjoyed our time at the campsite and would come again.Аутоматски преведено. - Hubert R.July 2019PozitivnoGood location Top pool for small kids Well equipped (restaurant, snacks, store, bakery..) - Klaus L.May 2019Pozitivnogood access to the pitches friendly staffNegativnostill too unfinished in the pre-seasonLively construction activity at the beginning of MayStayed here the first week of May without booking in advance. Friendly welcome at reception. We were able to choose a place in the left-hand area. The right-hand area was not yet open. There was still a lot of construction activity on the site. At the restaurant, which was still closed, a terrace was... being roofed over and there was a lot of rubble lying around. Only the bakery was open for supplies. The supermarket and other stores were still closed. Not so bad, there is a large supermarket nearby. The sanitary building is in good condition and is cleaned regularly. Negative: Washing dishes is only possible in dry weather as there is no roof. When it rains you get very wet. A layer of gravel/sand was being applied to many of the pitches. Unfortunately, the material was not compacted but only smoothed out. This made maneuvering difficult. All in all, a very nice site, but you shouldn't go too early. The spring work has not yet been completed. The town of Rab was also still in full preparation for the season. The churches were closed or being renovated. Even the towers could not be climbed.Аутоматски преведено.
- Musikschule F.October 2018PozitivnoClose to the beach, groceries on site, beautiful continuous concrete path to the old townNegativnoNoneNice that we could be here one more nightAlthough the description said that the campsite was open until October 31, we were lucky and were able to spend at least the night of October 9 (when the campsite closed) in Padova because we were passing through. The pitch right by the sea with wind and weather included was great, the supermarket, restaurant... and bakery were open until the last day and there were no complaints about the sanitary facilities. You could cycle directly from the campsite to the old town of Rab and take a leisurely stroll through the alleyways and indulge your taste buds with Dalmatian delicacies. Perfect for a late summer vacation!Аутоматски преведено.
- Michael J.September 2018PozitivnoBeach, water, foodNegativnoOrganization, pitches in the A-area on gravel, DOG FRIENDLY AND EXPENSIVE.Something has to happen hereActually a very nice place but: we had a reservation in the A-area with shade the C area was apparently full, deposit 50 €. When we arrived nothing was reserved. But we were able to choose a place in the "premium area". The available seats were all in the blazing sun and it looked like an avalanche of... rubble had gone down. The seats were very cramped and not very inviting. When we walked across the square, the supposedly full C area was not full, but there were a lot of empty seats. In the end they couldn't find the deposit we had paid, an hour of debate at reception, which almost made us late for the ferry port. Only by "shouting" were we able to assert our justified claims. Our dogs had a fenced-in "spot" where they were allowed to relieve themselves. Otherwise, there was no waste bin for dog waste or dog bags to be found on the campsite, but the dog costs €2 more than the human - that's not possible !!!!! The sanitary facilities are in urgent need of renovation, showers with doors at a height above which you can look into the shower - intimate is different! Cleanliness - well,,,,, A great beach, nice restaurants and close to the town of PAG whether on foot, by bike or cab boat - GREAT! Water great, no bathing shoes necessary, but that doesn't fix the other shortcomings, we won't be back !!!!Аутоматски преведено.
- Robin F.September 2018PozitivnoSandy beach Infrastructure Pitches Sanitary cleanNegativnono rough ones to recognizeSandy beach in CroatiaWe (2 adults 2 children) stayed at this campsite for 2 weeks. We were able to choose our pitch freely from many, as long as it wasn't reserved. The pitches were very natural and large enough. We stood with our trailer and awning directly under an old olive tree. The beach was sandy in a beautiful bay... right next to the campsite and there are several restaurants and a cocktail bar on the beach. For children there is an all-day program in the kids club on the campsite, as well as aquadance and Zumba fitness for adults and children on the beach. Aquapark and other water sports equipment are also available for hire. A supermarket has everything you need at fair prices. The sanitary facilities are adequate and clean. The playgrounds could do with a makeover and another one could be installed at the back. All in all, we had 2 lovely weeks at this campsite and would definitely visit again.Аутоматски преведено.
- Andy N.August 2018PozitivnoClean, child-friendly, good value for money, large pitches, clean beach and clear seaNegativnoVery steep ascent and descent!Perfect recreational opportunityThis was our second time on Rab in Padova III. A few things have changed since VALAMAR took over. But first of all, don't take the first signposted turn-off to the campsite when you come off the ferry, but the second one, which is much easier to drive! The campsite is equipped with everything you need... and the sanitary facilities are always clean. The pitches are large enough (only sometimes there is an olive tree or two in the middle of the pitch) so there is enough space to park your camper van. The beach is pebbly, but you go into the sea on sand. In the high season you can't always find a free spot on the beach with children, so limit yourself to the essentials on the beach. The children's entertainment is organized by Hotel VALAMAR, so there is something going on every day. The playground is great but unfortunately from late morning until evening it is full in the sun, here sun sails would help, also some playground equipment was unfortunately defective (and probably for a long time!). We tried all the restaurants on the campsite, with the exception of the one at the front of the beach, which we can recommend without hesitation. The best pizza is definitely in the restaurant right next to reception (real wood-fired pizza!). The town of Rab with its old monastery and the beautiful ambience invites you to stroll and linger, as always in the south, the real action only starts in the evening, a tip on the side, do not use the big restaurants directly in front of the pier, the small ones in the alleys are much better and friendlier in service, here the children are taken care of first and you are offered many local typical dishes. For boat trips out to sea we can recommend RabRental, a very reliable provider of motorboats, top service and very friendly.Аутоматски преведено.
- Alexandra K.July 2018PozitivnoDespite booking, we were let go without any big fees...NegativnoJust not with a dog!Let's get out of here...In July 2018, I stayed at this campsite with my children (20;16;10) and dog in a motorhome - but only for 4 hours and not 10 days as planned. When we booked online, we had asked for a pitch in the shade - we ended up standing in the blazing sun. The "beach" is a maximum of 5 meters wide and 150 meters... long. You actually lie there so close that it's difficult to get on your towel without stepping on your neighbor's towel first. No big deal, we thought, because you're not allowed to take your dog there, not even just on the beach. The so-called dog beach consists of concrete slabs eroded by salt water right next to the cycle and footpath. There is not a single opportunity to lie down in the shade or to create shade with the help of a parasol. Nobody could get into the water there, not even the dog, because there were more sea urchins in the water than stones. After crouching in the mud for a moment in despair, we unanimously decided to leave the campsite. The positive thing was that we only had to pay the registration fee, although we had actually reserved for 10 days.Аутоматски преведено.
- Olaf V.July 2018PozitivnoVery clean, good restaurants, close to the old townNegativnoBad part of the campsite on the sandy beach, annoying controller, Too many extra costsGetting better from year to yearThis was our third time at Padova 3 and you can clearly see that the quality of the site is improving from time to time. Whether it's the supermarket or the restaurants. Everything is great. The Morcic restaurant deserves special mention here, although it is not part of the campsite. The sanitary facilities... were mostly clean, even in high season. The cleaning ladies do a good job. The fact that children misuse the wash houses as a playground is probably another matter. The whole site was well maintained, and thanks to various redesigns and new chalets it even has a park-like character in places. However, the area right next to the small pebble beach still looks untidy and dingy. Perhaps there is still room for improvement here. Reception is also much friendlier now. They try to fulfill the wishes of the guests and are always ready to help if a problem arises. Only the older man who plays the controller should slowly retire. He mistook our bicycles for a motorcycle, noted them down and then had to pay extra for them when we were billed. And this is still the biggest shortcoming of Padova 3. The prices are already in the higher category. But it is incomprehensible why extra fees are charged for everything such as a small tent or a scooter. Nevertheless, the campsite is always worth a visit due to its beautiful location close to the old town of Rab and the small sandy bays.Аутоматски преведено.

- Bart K.August 2017PozitivnoClose to the town of Rab.NegativnoNoisy residents apartments just outside the campground.Beautiful campsite close to the town of RabLarge campsite near the town of Rab. We were in zone C, toilet block in this zone always clean. On the campsite there are 4 restaurants, restaurant Morcic is very good!!! Rab town is within walking/cycling distance. Outside the town of Rab, there are few to no attractions on the island. With the catamaran... to Rijeka is a nice day trip. Around the campsite few beautiful snorkeling spots, for this you better drive to Pundarica or Kampor. Unfortunately there is sometimes some noise pollution from residents of surrounding apartments, but the campground can do nothing about this. The camp has a large sandy beach, but it is always full. At 07.00 in the morning 70% of the beach is already full of towels.Аутоматски преведено.
