G.February 2022PozitivnoLocation of the site, cleanlinessNegativnoAccessibility of the park reception from GermanyDown paymentWe have been booking at least 5 pitches as a group over Whitsun for several years now. The site is clean and offers everything we need. This year we have had the misfortune to be affected by repeated delivery delays for our new motorhome. We pointed out this problem to the reservation center months ago... as a precaution. Unfortunately, despite intensive efforts on our part, no accommodating solution is possible. Our deposit will not be credited for Whitsun 2023, let alone can we cancel free of charge. We are losing €105!Аутоматски преведено.
- Sven "Knausrich" B.October 2021PozitivnoUm?NegativnoExpensiveDoes not workAs soon as we arrived and were forced to stop in front of the barrier, 200 m before the reception, I knew that this would be the absolute low point of my relatively young camping career. After ordering our pitches from the nice employee and being instructed by another equally nice employee and the resulting... confusion, in the end no one knew who had actually paid what for what, as we arrived with 2 mobile homes and then always parked them in opposite directions. However, the license plates we gave opened all the barriers for us. After finding our pitches, the first thing we discovered was that the power supply to our pitch was out of order. With the permission of the site operator, we used the power socket of the free neighboring pitch. The costs for this pitch are too high! Our pitch is on grass, which we like. The nearest toilets and showers were, in contrast to the modern reception building, not up to date and not really clean. The restaurant was clearly too expensive for the food on offer. We disposed of the cassettes on departure, as they were quite far away from our pitch. Conclusion: Basically, the price here was too high for what was on offer. And always remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.Аутоматски преведено.
- Stephan R.July 2019Pozitivno- very close to the water - Equipment rental and nice surf school on the water directly at the park - very nice serviceNegativno- no sandy beach - not on foot to the sea - you need a car or bicycle - Price-performance ratioPartly new houses, unfortunately not so goodThe newly built houses are furnished in a modern style. Unfortunately, there are a few little things that make life a little more difficult. Unfortunately, there is no shower curtain in the bathroom, so that the entire bathroom is wet after showering. A squeegee would at least have been helpful (was... then also delivered quickly and friendly on request). There is also no closet - instead there are open shelves. A TV was probably once mounted in the bedroom - only three holes with dowels in the wall still bear witness to this. Unfortunately, there are also too few shelves. The house is clean on the floor, the dishes, cutlery and cupboard fronts in the kitchen unfortunately not, but the decoration is nicely done. The kitchen is small and adequate. Some of the equipment is plentiful, there are even plenty of glasses, but bowls and a salad bowl are missing. Some of the cutlery is very sparse. The food storage containers are very well thought out. The knives are blunt, the handles of the pots are unfortunately made of metal and get very hot. No broom or dustpan. The brown, hot water flowing out of the cold water pipe at the beginning is strange. It is always hot at the beginning - part of the supply pipe is probably exposed to the sun. The direct waterfront location of the park is great. However, you have to get on your bike or in your car to get to the sea. There is no sandy beach here - there are green areas. There are lawns around the houses, but they are only slightly shielded from the road by new hedges. Unfortunately, there is zero privacy. You can look directly into several houses behind each other. Open barbecues are not permitted - only gas or electric barbecues. The cleanliness of the park is great. There are hardly any animal droppings (only right by the water) or garbage lying around. We found the value for money to be much better in other parks. This feeling is fueled by steep additional costs if you want to log into the WLAN network with more than one device in the family. For more than 2 devices, which is often the case with a family, you pay almost 45 euros for 2 weeks! What's more, once you've logged in, you can't change your device - this is totally out of date and fuels the feeling of having to pay too much. The large pitches on the campsite are surrounded by hedges. It seems to be quite cramped.Аутоматски преведено.
- Marcel B.June 2019PozitivnoSwimming pool with slides good price/performance ratio clean showers & toiletsNegativnoCentral building somewhat outdatedPositive conclusion - not as bad as it is often portrayed here...We (family with 2 children, 4 & 7 years) stayed 4 nights with our caravan over Corpus Christi at de Schotsman (basic pitch, approx. 35 €/night). The booking was easy, online or by phone. Helpful information over the phone. The price/performance ratio was fine. The campsite is a bit outdated, which is... why it is currently being renovated, but that didn't bother us. (no construction noise or similar) The infrastructure on the campsite was good, the distances to the washrooms and toilets were within an acceptable range. The toilets and showers I used were clean. Of course, the shower time of 4.5 minutes is short and unfortunately only possible without interruption, but you can adjust to that. The swimming pool (outdoor pool) with the slides was great for our children (and also for adults)! The snack bar on de Schotsman (unfortunately only open Fri./Sat./Sun.) was very good and reasonably priced. There was a mixture of German, Dutch and Belgian campers on the site. The direct proximity to the Veerse Meer also offers great opportunities for water sports from windsurfing to stand-up paddling. The beautiful beach is only about 10 minutes away by bike. Interesting excursion destinations such as Veere, Middelburg or Oostkapelle are also easy to reach by bike or car. All in all, a recommendation!Аутоматски преведено.

- Christelle N.August 2018PozitivnoSwimming, sailing and diving in the immediate vicinityNegativnoUnclean and unhygienic. small, cramped seats, expensive bistroNever again!!!The people on site are friendly, and even a late arrival is possible without any problems. However, you first have to know that you have to ask in the café/bistro for them to call someone... The approach to the reserved pitch is via high humps, some of which you even have to drive your car onto. The... pitch was completely burnt out and withered (in summer after a long period of heat), but the narrow lanes on the pitch itself made it difficult to get there and even more so to maneuver into the very small pitches. Finally arrived and set up, off to the sanitary facilities... easy to get to, but either very old and dusty without proper hot water or new and modern, but even less clean (!!!!), although barely 6 months old. Soap residue from several previous guests stuck to the shower walls, the walls at the sink areas were always stained although there were cleaning staff there 3 times a day who cleaned around them diligently. No soap dispensers available to wash your hands thoroughly. The newly built vacation homes consist of the thinnest wooden walls, a little Styrodur and paint... The first ones have already been rented out, although the whole site on which they stand was a single building site overgrown with garbage... The cleanliness of the changing rooms and toilets at the outdoor pool was absolutely unacceptable! The children's entertainment in the water, where the children were/should dance to the music, was very badly thought out!!! It took place in the deep pool where the children could not stand alone... The children's entertainment in the designated hall at the front entrance is nice and friendly, but they all speak only Dutch.... The cafe/bistro was extremely overpriced for what was on offer there... A bottled beer, for example, cost 5 euros... Our conclusion: We definitely won't be back and can't recommend the place at all, even though it's only a 10-minute walk from the water.Аутоматски преведено.
- Rene S.August 2018PozitivnoLocation for water sports enthusiasts View of the Veerse MeerNegativnoExpensiveTop location for water sports enthusiastsWe spent a long time looking for a campsite with a sea view in Zeeland - and we found it here. At least with a view of the Veerse Meer, if you get a suitable pitch. The sanitary facilities by the swimming pool were older, but the showers and washrooms were clean. We preferred to avoid the toilets in... the building, the ones outside were always ok. It was unusual that the sanitary facilities were not separated for men and women. However, in my opinion this is not a disadvantage and there were always enough showers available. The supermarket on site has everything you need for small purchases. We were very happy with the Beau4 restaurant at the water ski lift within walking distance. You can quickly cycle to the beautiful North Sea beach, which we think is one of the most beautiful on the North Sea. You shouldn't expect too much from Kamperland. It's a small, nice place that isn't overcrowded. Veere is better for sightseeing - you can get there quickly by boat. Unfortunately, the prices are very high - but that's almost normal in Zeeland. The building site was not a problem for us, as there was no building work in August and everything was quiet.Аутоматски преведено.
- Frank L.March 2018NegativnoBuilding site, unkempt, dilapidated electrics, lousy internetLocation great, campsite not goodAfter our more than 20th Easter visit: major building site, noise, dilapidated electrics, lousy internet, superficial customer friendliness, piles of garbage in the bushes. It was different in previous years. If it wasn't for the surroundings - certainly not anymore.Аутоматски преведено.
- Martina B.March 2018NegativnoCleanliness in the wash house impaired by construction work.Disappointment over lack of customer serviceWe have been visiting the Schotsman for 25 years, sometimes for several years as permanent campers, and due to the demolition of the old bungalows, the new building is currently under construction.Neither when booking, nor when checking in, did the man consider it necessary to inform us about the current... impairments caused by the construction work!!! For years it has been observed that as a long-time vacationer you are not appreciated here.but this time is a no-go!Even if the control comes from above, I would have expected something else here.too bad, we are very disappointed!!! Unfortunately I'm afraid I'm not interested, so we draw our own conclusions!Аутоматски преведено.
- Markus T.August 2016PozitivnoLocation, swimming poolNegativnoPoor organization, place dirtyPoor organization and dirty, swimming pool is greatReception closed at 5pm and we were there at 5.05pm. No indication that you can then pick up the access card in the restaurant. We had a pitch with a tree house and had to realize on site that it was locked, so we went back to the restaurant and got the key here. Tree house (+8€/day) not really usable.... Mini window that cannot be opened. Small door hardly lets any air into the approx. 6m2 tree house and therefore high temperatures and odors in the house. Lots of garbage around the pitch and under the tree house (bottle caps, crushed plastic clothespins, etc.). On the second day we wanted to test the swimming pool, but it could only be used with a swimming pool card, so we went back to reception. Why doesn't reception pack an envelope with all the necessary documents for check-in? Well, at least the swimming pool/slide was great. However, the price is not justified, especially as there is an additional €7.50 processing fee and €1.12/person/day tourist tax on top of the original price. Next time I'd rather stay at the Womo Camperpark right next door.Аутоматски преведено.
- Hans M.August 2015PozitivnoGood location for surfers and sailors Dog and family camping Large pitchesNegativnoThe restaurant No water and waste water on siteonly mediocreOverall, it was a nice stay, but we also had to make some compromises here. We always found the toilets and showers to be quite clean, which was obviously also due to the discipline of the other campers on the fully booked pitch. However, our sanitary block was older and this was particularly noticeable... in the showers. There was also no dishwashing facility, so you had to walk quite a long way with your dishes. The showers run for 4.5 minutes with a pleasant water temperature (followed by a 2.5 minute break). Cold showers are not possible. Our booked pitch was occupied and we were given a pitch in an area for campers with dogs. It didn't bother us, but the meadow was not in as good a condition as the original pitch. All in all, there was no better or worse and the allocation of a new pitch was very quick. The staff were friendly, but the level of service suffered noticeably due to the mass of campers. The supermarket staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and helpful. We would strongly advise against the restaurant. The quality, quantity and selection were at the lowest level, but the prices were way up there. You can get almost all the food in the snack bar next door at much cheaper prices. Once and never again! There were hardly any language problems, if necessary we could speak English. As a guest abroad, I don't always expect to speak German.Аутоматски преведено.

- Ira H.September 2014Pozitivno-friendliness of the staff at the reception/restaurant/supermarketNegativno-lack of hygiene -few play opportunities for small childrenHygiene? - Not a chance! The caravan we booked was the right size. However, after entering the caravan, there was no hygiene to be found in any corner. We are people who do not need luxury, but I think that cleanliness must be a priority everywhere. The floor of the caravan was totally filthy and had definitely not been mopped.... The baby travel cot, which we had booked, had not been washed in any way. There were spit-up stains everywhere (which you can see very clearly on the dark blue background) and the thin mattress in the crib was still damp and smelled of urine. The children's high chair, which we had also booked, still had leftover food from the previous user in every corner. This included food leftovers of all kinds. We had to clean it thoroughly before our child could sit in it. The packed bed linen in the bedrooms was clean. However, the mattresses had numerous urine and blood stains or similar, some of which could hardly be defined. The dishes and cutlery in the cupboards were dirty. In a pan that I took out of the cupboard there was still grease and egg residue from the previous user. The pan and other pots, cutlery etc. were cleaned by us before use. When we opened the coffee machine to make a cup of coffee, we were once again stunned. Inside was an old coffee filter with coffee residue that was moldy blue and white. There was also mold on the inside of the machine. There was pubic hair on the toilet rim in the toilet. The toilet brush was also dirty. In the shower there was head hair from previous vacationers. There were also toothpaste stains in the sink. The gas boiler did not work and an employee came to us to fix everything. The man was very friendly and helpful. We then told him that the cleanliness here left a lot to be desired. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn't say anything about it. I told the information desk all this the next day and was promised that someone would come the next day and do a thorough clean. However, this did not happen. In the end, we bought our own cleaning products from the nearby supermarket and cleaned it ourselves, as we thought that with a small child there had to be a small degree of hygiene! Finally, I would just like to say that the staff in the café, supermarket and at the information desk were very friendly. This was a positive aspect of our stay. The welcome cuddly toy for our son was also great and of very good quality! However, to add to this, the prices for food in the associated restaurant were very overpriced. Drink prices were ok.Аутоматски преведено.
- G. S.August 2013We were there with our motorhome in August 2013 - our pitch was far back on a meadow, had to drive through again and again between playing children, tents and other things when arriving and leaving...Also, a youth group was placed next to us, whereby it was quite loud until late in the evening, maybe... you should take a closer look when assigning the places....The location of the place is quite beautiful, the Veerse Meer is a paradise for sailors and surfers. If you are neither of these....Аутоматски преведено.
- Silke S.April 2013We were in April May on this very nice campsite, the location directly on the Veerse Meer he very well maintained the sanitary facilities at any time of day clean. We can only recommend it and it was certainly not the last time we were there.Аутоматски преведено.
- horst s.May 2012We spent 4 days with our children (aged 6 & 8) at the RCN de Schotsman campsite over Whitsun. We camped and had booked a comfort pitch. We were very happy with the site. The location directly on the shore of the Veerse Meer is a dream, not only for surfers and sailors. The site was very well-kept, the... crowd was as mixed as it is on a campsite, and friendly across the board - especially the Rhine and Dutch people; you can recognize both by the fact that, unlike the (other) Germans, they say hello... ;-) There are pitch areas that are large meadows, which has the advantage that you actually have sun there at all times. We stayed in the Gouldplaat area, which is very idyllic due to the beautiful trees, but also shady. There is even a deciduous forest on the site. The sanitary facilities were free of charge and always tidy. We have seen newer ones, but there is no reason to complain. The water was always warm. The beautiful sandy beach De Banjaard is only about 3 km away - which is also possible by bike with small children. 95% of the way there is via a cycle path where cyclists have priority, which is also respected by 95% of motorists. There is a great heated outdoor pool on the site (water temperature approx. 25° in May) with fantastic slides; free to use for guests. There is also a small supermarket on the site with a reasonable range and reasonable prices, as well as a chip shop with typical Dutch junk food (rather expensive) and a restaurant with a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a sundowner in the evening with a view of the Veerse Meer while the children are busy on the adjacent climbing frame. Children in general: we let our boys ride their bikes on the campsite itself - here, too, most of them kept to the speed limit. The children can ride freely on the wonderful footpath/cycle path along the shore of the Veerse Meer and also play on the gentle pebble beaches. The only downer is the site's own disco in the surf base, which roared loudly until 2 a.m. at the weekend - even though the whole site is actually quiet at night from 11 p.m. and music is only allowed to be loud enough not to disturb anyone, but I was promised a remedy after I complained...Аутоматски преведено.
