- Volker A.August 2023PozitivnoA beautifully laid out and quiet campsite in an old pine forest. Bungalows, rental tents and pitches for tents and motorhomes are available. There are plenty of water connections, the wash houses are varied and have sufficient toilets, showers and wash basins; there is always hot water! In addition to the swimming pool, there is a fitness room, a sauna and a kiosk for the essentials. The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. Important: the campsites in the south of the Ile d'Oleron are not directly on the beach, but have 4 beaches in the immediate vicinity, which can be reached in 10 to 20 minutes by bike. If you don't have a bike, you can hire one. Of course you can also reach the town and the beaches by car and there is free parking, but the surrounding area has so many beautiful cycle paths that bicycles are the nicer alternative.NegativnoFor German vacationers, it takes some getting used to that there are no bathrooms separated by gender. In France, however, this is completely normal and there are private cubicles for everything if you want them. Toilet paper is only available from a central dispenser, which is sometimes empty, so it is advisable to bring your own! The toilets do not have glasses but are generally very clean. No real disadvantages, just something to get used to!Perfect camping experienceFor us as a family of four, this was a hit and we will definitely be back!
This island has so much to offer and you can get to almost everything by bike. Compared to the completely overcrowded Il de Re, this is a great alternative!Аутоматски преведено. - Johann v.August 2014PozitivnoLarge pitches, well-kept sanitary facilities, family-friendly, quiet.NegativnoRental châlets are increasingly causing unrestIdeal for young and young-at-heart camper familiesVery informal site without unnecessary hustle and bustle. Well-kept sanitary facilities. Large pitches ranging from "natural" (shady under very tall pine trees; please note: falling pine cones can damage lightweight tents in particular) to very comfortable (shady to sunny, electricity, water and waste... water connections on the pitch). Predominantly French. French campers. French language skills are useful for communicating with the site management. Numerous permanent campers and many regular guests contribute to the family atmosphere. The expansion with rental châlets, which changes the crowd and atmosphere (mostly weekly change of guests in high season, somewhat more distant and impersonal), is not quite as positive. Wifi since 2014.Аутоматски преведено.
