Although the campsite was relatively busy, it was wonderfully quiet. The view is a dream due to the exposed location of the campsite.

However, the owners recommend a solution ...Very well-kept complex with a family atmosphereWe stayed for 10 days in mid-May on this site, which is very inviting and unrivaled in this region, or rather: the others can't hold a candle to it.
Apart from the very friendly owner family - who can only be seen working all day - the site impresses with its good facilities and high level of cleanliness.... Everything is there, top sanitary facilities, secure Wi-Fi, store, bistro, children's playground, pool, etc.
We had a pitch on the main level of the reception, which was ideal for us as senior citizens.
The site is recommended to everyone, it is still a real campsite.
But you should be motorized, it is situated steeply above the town on a hill. As the town and the region around Traisen is not necessarily a tourist hotspot, we were more than pleasantly surprised by the quality on offer here at the campsite. Everything was just right. The campsite... was good and there was even a pool for the children. Above all, the food on offer in the bistro was a hit, much to our surprise. Oriental specialties! I don't think you can get falafel of this quality here, even in the best restaurants in Vienna. Plus craft beer etc.. We'll definitely be back here again. - Angelika F.July 2023PozitivnoVery nice peopleNegativnononeFrench summer adventure in Traisen3 young Frenchmen were on their way to Hungary in their camping truck on the main roads in Germany and Austria. The journey came to an abrupt end in Rotheau as the truck was unable to continue.
A transport company from Traisn and his neighbor, a French professor, helped the two drivers and their companion....
The truck was parked in front of the campsite over the weekend and the young people were able to use the infrastructure.
The team of mechanics managed to repair the clutch, which was not easy as the truck was built in 1988.

The pitches are quite large and offer ample privacy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In the centre of the campsite there are laundry facilities, a small café, a small shop, a swimming pool and a playground for children. The washrooms are clean and comfortable. Pitches all have views of the surrounding countryside and feel secluded and private. It may not have fancy amenities as larger sites do but that’s the benefit to this site. It’s a proper family run site and I defy anyone not to instantly feel... welcomed. Shower and toilet block was always lovely and clean.
You can order breads, rolls and milk for each morning. The Courtyard has the shop, bar/bistro, and a heated pool that’s perfect for kids. In addition to the pool kids play on scooters and other toys in this area and it seems to be a really safe place for them.
We’re an older couple in a motorhome but would have loved to bring our kids here when they were younger.
We had such a warm welcome and everyone seemed relaxed. Great bar, brilliant guys servings there and food was simple but lovely and tasty. Shop pretty much open all day for small items you’ve forgotten or a Billionaire ice cream. There is everything you need for a perfect rest. This was our second time here and we were very satisfied. You can relax very well, especially with our dog. The area is very suitable for hiking and everything you need is available on site. The sanitary facilities... are spacious and clean, the pool is beautifully laid out and we also really liked the restaurant. The operators are very nice and helpful. There is really nothing missing. -e.g. Trausentalradweg, Türnitzer Bahnradweg, Gölsentalradweg, all suitable for children. Paths from the campsite are relatively few and partly steep, partly poorly signposted, one was simply blocked by electric fences! The access to the pitches at the CP is sometimes a bit difficult. The staff were very friendly and the owner was extremely correct. Sanitary facilities and washing up are average. Compliance with the Covid measures was... hardly recognizable. There are plenty of opportunities for cycling and hiking. The price-performance ratio does not fit. We felt completely at home on the quiet, very well-kept site. We have hardly ever been welcomed so openly and friendly on a campsite! We found an open ear for all our questions and... concerns and were given comprehensive and competent information about excursions. The good location was very nice, the Traisental cycle path is in the immediate vicinity, at the same time the slightly elevated position of the campsite offers a great view and peace and quiet at night. In the immediate vicinity, easy to reach on foot or by bike, you will find food and clothing stores as well as a bicycle repair shop and a highly recommended organic tavern and farm store.
