Good W LAN,
And a fine restaurant, what more could you need?Automatiskt översatt. - Wolfgang H.September 2023PositivaEasy booking, bread roll service, restaurant and small store on siteNegativaRegistration only from 14:00Beautiful campsite on the MoselleIt was our 18th time there. It's a very nice site right on the Moselle. The operator has invested a lot in the last few years and enlarged and renovated the site. (Pitches extended, enlarged and gravelled - new fence - new electricity connection boxes with remote reading at the registration desk - new... reception trolley).
The sanitary facilities are outdated but clean. There could be a few more dishwashers.
Very friendly campsite warden and I also get on very well with the boss.Automatiskt översatt. - Andrea D.June 2023Positivadirectly on the Moselle cycle path, restaurant and store Clean sanitary facilities Electricity costs according to consumptionNegativaSanitary facilities scarce in the high seasonLarge square on the banks of the MoselleFriendly and helpful receptionist.

- Peter I.June 2019PositivaGreat location. Cleanliness. Restaurant.NegativaNo materialGreat location directly on the Moselle and cycle pathWe spent 11 days at the Bären Camp campsite in Bullay. The reviews we had read before were largely consistent with our experiences. The staff are super friendly, especially the groundsman with his short haircut. Super nice and attentive briefing and always available for a quick chat. The second groundsman... was a bit taciturn at first but later also approachable and friendly. Some of the pitches are not very large but sufficient for caravans with tents or motorhomes. Sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but clean. Somewhat unfortunate is the cleaning time at lunchtime, where there was only one toilet each for men and women for a good 2.5 hours. The restaurant is definitely recommended. Super tasty dishes.Automatiskt översatt.

Staff and manager super friendly. Ideal for cyclists and for hiking. We will definitely be backAutomatiskt översatt.
- Dieter S.April 2019PositivaNoneNegativaUnfriendlyThe first and last timeHello everyone, Unfortunately we can only agree with most of the previous speakers. The arrival situation is very unprofessional and stressful, as the site is located on the banks of the Moselle. The site can only be accessed via this. The staff are overwhelmed in every respect. Of course, this is understandable... when you seem to run a restaurant with kitchen and service on your own, but also have to keep the campsite running at the same time. You don't feel like a guest but actually just a burden. When, after we asked a question, we were told that we couldn't be helped and that we couldn't see what was going on here, we decided to spend our future vacation in a different atmosphere, but definitely not here again. The medical supply store is old but clean, just to mention something positive. Unfortunately, there are only a few sinks for all 5 camps, i.e. about 120-140 pitches, so to put it mildly there is a bit of a traffic jam. The internet is well developed, you have perfect WLAN reception everywhere. However, the big drawback is that the Internet is sold to campers at exorbitant prices. 1 hour/1 euro 2 hours/2 euros and so on. Now you can certainly argue about whether you need WLAN on a camping vacation, but in the 21st century you should assume that most people like to start their vacation with Internet. With such exorbitant prices, I can certainly do without it. Admittedly, it was also nice not to receive any messages. All in all, the place is more than inadequate for our vacation requirements. I think friendliness should be a matter of course, the other things are certainly debatable. This was our first and last vacation at Bären Camp.Automatiskt översatt.
- Friedhelm A.May 2018PositivaBest recommended for 2 people!Negativaan awning would not be bad, guttering is a must.Shepherd's hut*** Cabin, was present with 2 people, very comfortably furnished! You sleep very well in bed, hut was clean, (were the first after completion have stayed overnight). Will be back in July!Automatiskt översatt.
- Tanja M.April 2018NegativaUnfriendly staff, far too strictly regulated. There are more rules than feeling good ...Unfortunately, the arrival is stressful. Rules upon rules, almost a hassle. People who love camping because of the freedom are out of place here. In the truest sense of the word. Waste disposal is separate and only possible between 9 and 10 a.m. - so don't forget to set your alarm clock! The toilets... are closed at lunchtime between 12 and 14:30, when they are cleaned by an unfriendly cleaning lady who has no place in the service sector. The sanitary facilities are from the 70s, but really clean. The waste disposal station is completely unsuitable for large mobile homes (beware of the risk of being knocked over). The owner is very nice. The staff rather not.Automatiskt översatt.
- Jacky S.October 2017NegativaVery unfriendly owner. One star is already too much, but unfortunately had to give a ratingBooking October 2017Had booked and wanted to stand with a view of the Moselle; no chance.... were supposed to stand with the drawbar facing the road, as there were "so many" campers coming.... (We tried to explain to the boss why we would like to stand differently. He just said: "Discussion over" in a very unfriendly tone! We then left again and found another much nicer and above all friendlier place! Very customer unfriendly! Never book "Bären Camp" again!!!!!!!!!Automatiskt översatt.
- Sabine H.September 2017PositivaLocationNegativaHigh shower fee, pitch sizeBeautifully situated placeVery nicely located place, unfortunately relatively narrow and the pitches very small for larger caravans, no water connection directly at the place, shower fee is not mentioned on the website and is relatively expensive at 1, - Euro. Showers and toilets super clean and sufficiently available, good waste... disposal facilities, great catering including bread service (sometimes this comes quite late), good localities on / around the square, countless excursion possibilities and sightsAutomatiskt översatt.
- Birgit K.September 2017PositivaNoneNegativaUnfriendly and apparently overworked staff. No accessibility by phone and e-mail so that grunds. learns before arrival.Very unfriendly and seemingly overworked staff. On arrival, we were already being teased: we had other things to do and weren't allowed to arrive until 2pm. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to get this information by phone or email beforehand and arrived at 11am. We then drove on with 2 camper vans. You don't have to do that to yourself.Automatiskt översatt.

- Hilde ,Georg und Toby 🐾🐾 J.May 2017PositivaStaff always up for a joke, sanitary clean...with Acsi the overnight stay was not expensive and the location was also niceNegativaThe pitches were not very big ....and the access road to the camp is accompanied by a lot of cyclistsAbout Father's Day at the campWe had a reserved pitch for 4 days on the banks of the Moselle in Camp 2. The weather was very warm to hot and the pitch was very busy. We were glad that we had this larger pitch, because the pitches are not very big. We could order bread rolls, the store was very small but an Edeka market was 2 streets... away and you could easily walk there. The road to the camp was narrow and also served as a bike, access, exit and hiking trail. The staff were very friendly and always ready for a quick chat. The sanitary facilities were not up to date.....but clean and tidy. We liked it and were able to discover a lot of new things with our dog.Automatiskt översatt.
- Jürgen S.May 2017PositivaThe beautiful view of the Moselle. The central location. The camping host - always has a little joke up his sleeve. The delicious witches' drink ;-))Negativanothing importantGood on the wholeVery clean, albeit outdated sanitary facilities. The site is also recommended for camper vans. We have been coming to the Bären-Camp for over 25 years. That speaks for itself. We were there again in May 2017.... I have to say that this time was also very pleasant and clean. With the ACSI-Card you really... save money and the showers and some of the electricity are free. We'll be back in July/August. Bullay is also very nice and the wine taverns invite you to enjoy......Automatiskt översatt.

- Michael T.September 2016beautifully situated campsite on the outskirts of the villageThe Bären-Camp is located between the banks of the Moselle and the village on the Middle Moselle in Bullay. The site consists of several smaller camps, which are connected by a wide cycle path. This cycle path is also the only access route and, depending on the number of cyclists, it can get a little... narrow and even dicey, as many cyclists and pedestrians are not aware that the cycle path is the official access road to the campsite. What made our stay even more difficult was the fact that the autumn festival in Bullay was to take place right next to the campsite at the weekend, which meant that the cycle path was partially closed. But campers help each other in such a situation. If you are traveling from Cochem, you can cross the double bridge in Alf to Bullay. The bridge is relatively narrow and is also used by public buses. Alternatively, you can also use the bridge in Zell, which is a small detour but easy to drive. You can leave the Moselle valley in Alf via the B421, it is about 50 km to the highway. The site is mostly flat and has some shade. The size of the pitches varies from about 70 square meters to about 100 square meters. The sanitary facilities in Camp 3 were always clean, although the site was almost fully booked. Once a day there was a basic cleaning, during which the sanitary building was closed, alternatively there were the night toilets. Access to the sanitary building was only possible with a coin. There is a charge for showering. Officially, the recycling center is only open from 9.00 - 10.00 a.m., but waste can often be disposed of at other times. You can eat well in the restaurant, the staff are well trained and friendly. Everything you need is available in the store and the bread roll service works well. Depending on the pitch, there should be a long power cable in the car. The restaurant and campsite can be paid for by EC card. The Bären-Camp is ideal for excursions, by bike on the Moselle cycle path, by car to the Hunsrück or on one of the excursion boats on the Moselle. There is also a train station in Bullay. From Zell, you can take a bicycle bus upstream. The excursion boats also take bicycles, as do the DB regional trains. Alternatively, you can get to Alf via the double bridge (train above and car below) with a small passenger ferry, which also transports bicycles. As we liked the campsite, we will certainly be going back to Bullay.Automatiskt översatt.
