Great pitches
I've never experienced such large pitches on a campsite before, simply fantastic! You're on your own, if you're lucky you get a pitch right on the banks of the Vechte and experience pure nature.

It's a super nice place, we've been going there for years
We have been going to the campsite with several families for years, with children from one year to 18 years. There's something for every age group on the site, whether it's one of the many playgrounds or canoeing on the Vechte. The pitches are very large and you can really relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Positives: Large pitches Many children's playgrounds Swimming for young and old Lots of nature City close to the city of Ommen approx. 5 kilometers No annoying animation No dogs No cars on the pitches Great mini-market Large shower cubicles you can take... 2 children inside Bicycle rental (good bicycles no scrap) Unfortunately there are also negatives: Too few toilets and showers (during the summer vacations) Cleanliness of the washrooms No children's washbasins No children's WCs

Our favorite campsite
This is the third year we have spent a camping vacation at Camping de Roos, the first year as a couple, the next two years together with our three children. The great thing about this campsite is the beautiful location and the incredibly spacious pitches. Although we were there at a time when the campsite... was fully booked, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet and the lovely atmosphere. The pitches are very different in their characteristics. You can choose a pitch on one of the large meadows, you can stand right next to the river or on a dead side arm. Alternatively, there are pitches in the forest or somewhat isolated pitches surrounded by flowering plants. Younger children can play in the playgrounds or on the children's beach, while older children can play soccer or baseball, go fishing or swimming in the Vechte. A number of hiking trails lead across and past the campsite. You can also go on beautiful cycle tours in the surrounding area. The campsite's homepage lists a number of excursion destinations. We tried some of them and were always satisfied.

We came across this wonderful campsite on the internet by chance. It is a real paradise for small children. There are lots of playgrounds, a soccer pitch, a volleyball court, a basketball hoop and a water playground, so there's no chance of boredom. Ideally, the site should not be used by cars during... peak travel times so that children can play safely. The pitches are generously sized. The sanitary facilities are modern, but quickly reach their capacity limits in high season. They were cleaned regularly and were always clean. The site is mainly used by tent campers but is just as suitable for caravanners. As Germans, we were clearly in the minority, but were treated in a nice and friendly manner. We will definitely be back.
