Nature camping on a farm
We stayed at this site at the beginning of May 2024 and were initially negatively surprised:
Very simple facilities on an old farmstead with few pitches, but goats, donkeys and rabbits in the immediate vicinity - and a children's playground. But this is a paradise for families with children - and that's... exactly what the operators stand for!
You can feel their caring hand everywhere. It would probably take decades to turn this site into a "normal" modern campsite.
But after 6 days at the Finsterhof, we doubt whether that would be necessary.
The new, somewhat small sanitary facilities are unisex, so don't be surprised. They are also available elsewhere.
Conclusion: simple camping can be so relaxing ...

Very quiet and uncomplicated guests, enough space even for spontaneous arrivals, very nice site operators - we will definitely come back again

It was all very nice. A few more fixed tables with benches would be ideal, especially for those who arrive by bike or car and don't have space in their luggage.
Very relaxing vacation
The campsite is located in a rural area that offers plenty of nature for hiking or cycling. The city center with a swimming pool is very close and offers everything you need. Vienna can be reached in a short time both by car and by train. For us, the place is ideal for relaxing at the weekend.

The campsite is not for people who want to travel a lot by public transport, there is a bus but it doesn't run that often
Camping for nature lovers
Simply a beautiful campsite in the countryside. The operators are very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. Great for switching off. I saw afterwards that there are even always small events and courses at the campsite, will be tested next time ;-)

A wonderful family-run business with a lot of love for old architecture. In the middle of the countryside with great and varied offers. From family for families! We will certainly be back soon!

Great, quiet place
Campsite close to nature right next to a beautiful old farm. Wonderfully situated in the countryside. Camping as it should be. Simple, rustic, very clean and friendly. Will definitely be back!
