    Great location and beautiful place
    The place was absolutely ok, the staff very friendly and the surroundings were very exciting and varied. We liked it there very much, the place is recommendable, but compared to others it was very expensive (because of the location?).

    Watch out for the dates! Wrong opening dates
    We went there in mid-March only to find that the campsite was closed, which put us to a lot of trouble. Camping extrèmement bien situé mais attention, il n'ouvre que mi-juin... We went mid march at this camping and it was closed ..., the localisation is very pleasant but apparently it opens only mid June, so be careful ...

    Expensive, but beautifully situated
    Nice place, but it also costs money. Showers cost extra. The site is beautifully laid out and offers many possibilities. If it is very wet, the site may be closed to vehicles. There is also a washing machine.

    Directly at the geyser
    The campsite is only a few meters away from the geyser (which is best enjoyed outside bus tourist times). Sanitary facilities in order (showers cost extra), shopping facilities/gas station available, costs for one night, 2 people in a tent - 3000isk Ideal location to also visit Gullfoss.

    Closed and yet open
    When we enquired about the campsite at the hotel, they said it was closed but we could still pitch our tent there. We did, but the sanitary facilities were closed and there was no water or electricity. We got water from the nearby restaurant and there were plenty of bushes. The advantage of this site is the proximity to the geyser, which you can really visit on your own early in the morning.
