Very leisurely and relaxed in mid-September. Despite arriving spontaneously, I was able to choose from around a dozen free pitches. It's ideal to have a bike or scooter with you. Because the campsite faces N/NE, the sun shines from... behind, which is rather unfavorable due to the nearby hill. Especially in late summer and early fall, it disappears behind the hill quite early. The campsite is well signposted, the 2 wash houses were always clean (except for some accident marks on the toilet seat, which were not due to the campsite), even if they were a bit cramped. There was always hot water. The beaches are paved with gravel, bathing shoes are recommended. Even in the low season, the beach fills up relatively quickly, as many people also come from the apartments in the complex. The store was already partly empty - economically understandable due to the imminent end of the season - but the essentials were available. Even if some items were very expensive. The campsite is very dog-friendly and there is also a dog beach. There are 2 restaurants on site, the prices are about the Croatian average in gastronomy. What I ate was fine, the service was nice and quick. The pitches, both sunny and shady, are pleasantly sized but offer little privacy as they are not separated by hedges. There are plenty of electricity and water points, and practically everyone has one next to them. The lighting on the campsite is very discreet and pleasant. One thing that really bothered me, however, was the nightly sound reinforcement in the form of bass from the Slovenian side. Even into the early hours of the morning... a restful sleep was not possible. All in all, I was very satisfied, for a shorter stay it is definitely recommendable, but the nightly music is very disturbing in the long run.Automatiskt översatt.- claudio a.August 2023PositivaLocation, the sea, the complex is basically well maintained except for the dogs and their poop. The dogs also urinate on the sunbathing lawns where children then play or you lie on them with a blanket. Most unappetizing.
Too loud... at night due to the open air disco on the opposite side of the bay from 23.00 to often 5.00 in the morning. Recently there has also been a disco at the campsite in summer. You think you are sleeping next to the box, but you can't think about sleeping.
Workers drive through the site every morning with single-cylinder engines (tractors) to do work.
There are no price lists. Information was that when it is busy it is more expensive and when it is not busy it is cheaper.
If you want to see something in the area as a single person and therefore sleep somewhere else for a few nights, you will be charged for a second person. Although you continue to pay for the place anyway. Argument: you could rent the pitch to 2 people during this time. That lacks any logic. The site is very nicely located and the pitches (second row) are large enough. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day and the general cleanliness of the site was ok. Loud music, yes it was audible, didn't bother us too much. The food in the individual restaurants can be recommended. The bass from the open-air disco on the other side of the bay (Slovenia) is so penetrating that nobody can actually sleep through the night. The positive reviews are incomprehensible... to me, unless this disco had just closed. We found out from other users that the disco is currently open about 6 nights a week. It was also too loud for caravan users. A wind deflector... may not be erected here on the grounds that nobody else has one and the boss is a bit crazy according to the employee who delivered the friendly message that if we don't dismantle it we will have to leave the pitch tomorrow. It should be noted that the wind deflector is on our rented pitch, not a centimeter outside, does not disturb or hinder anyone. Hospitality definitely looks different. The sanitary facilities are quite new and absolutely clean, the infrastructure on the pitch is excellent (electricity, water, waste water). You are very close to the sea and can enjoy the clear water for... swimming. However, you need bathing shoes because of the gravel subsoil. The campsite is small and informal. There is some noise at the weekend from a disco in Portoroz and from a nearby sports airfield (but the campsite cannot be held responsible for this). Cycling tours to Umag (nearest town) or Piran in Slovenia are possible. However, it is mountainous. The signposted cycle routes in this area are gravel paths and not easy to cycle on.Automatiskt översatt.
