Beautiful location, inadequate sanitary facilities
The campsite benefits from its location directly on the fjord. Unfortunately, this is the only plus point. The site looks unkempt and could do with an overhaul.
The sanitary facilities are old and dingy and the number of toilets and showers is absolutely inadequate. There are 2 toilets for women and... 2 for men on the whole site. The shower cubicles are even worse, with 1 for men and 1 for women!

The cost for one night in a camper van including 2 people is a hefty 30 euros.

Conclusion: give the campsite a wide berth and look for another option.

Located directly on the fjord with a great view.
Wonderful view
The campsite is a rather small but fairly flat meadow area. When we were there it had probably just rained, so the ground was muddy in places. However, it was still easily passable for us with our caravan. The choice of pitch is free and because we arrived in the afternoon, we were able to stand right... by the water. The view over the fjord and the mountains is certainly rarely so beautiful in this form. The site was also very quiet and the staff were friendly. Shopping facilities are just a few minutes' walk away. The sanitary facilities each have two showers. Although these were not new, they were clean and spacious. We paid a total of NOK 330 for one night with caravan, electricity, WiFi and shower (no time limit). You had to pay NOK 10 extra for hot water in the sinks. For us, this price was perfectly acceptable. We can highly recommend this site to campers who want to enjoy the peace and quiet and nature.

Great location, but the sanitary facilities...
The location is really great... Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are extremely old, insufficient in number (1 shower per gender) and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. And there are also extra charges for this. You also have to pay extra for washing up. The unparceled meadow pitches were... rutted and under water. Eidfjord, where you can also go shopping, is just a few minutes' walk away. The Hardangervidda can also be reached quickly by car.

Great location
I agree with the previous descriptions. The location is great, and the surrounding area offers plenty of sights. If you want to enjoy a pitch right by the fjord in high season, you shouldn't arrive too late in the evening. The price/performance ratio is good overall, but we found the extra charge for hot water for washing up unreasonable. WIFI access costs NOK 50 once for the duration of your stay - good value.

On the shore of the Eidfjord
Medium-sized grass pitch close to the center of the small town of Eidfjord, yet surprisingly quiet. The cruise ship landing stage is only about 200m away as the crow flies. Impressive panorama, but the site does not make a well-kept impression. The cost for a mobile home with 2 people is 190 NOK (+40... NOK for electricity). Showers cost 5,-/5 minutes. Hot water for washing up has to be paid extra. There is only cold water at the washbasins in the sanitary area, with the exception of one washbasin in the ladies' toilet, where hot water is available from a coin-operated machine for 1 crown/30 seconds. There are two supermarkets approx. 300m away. Fishing in the fjord is possible from the shore. Fishing permits for the river Eio, which flows past the campsite, are available from reception.

A site couldn't be more beautiful, right on the fjord, away from the road and therefore very quiet. Friendly site operators. The sanit. Facilities are a bit old, but work and are clean. Good cooking and washing up facilities. The site is well maintained and clean, free choice of pitches. To the center Eidfjord approx. 5 min. walk, because good shopping possibilities. You can stay here for a few days and explore the surrounding area.
