Campsite is located directly on the Loire, pitches on the meadow, but trees have not been trimmed high enough, so unfortunately you can't park underneath. Very uneven terrain that could do with a bit of attention.
Sanitary facilities are without words, hole in the ground. There is a sitting toilet without... glasses and a disabled toilet. Showers cannot be regulated and you don't want to bump into anything there either. The pool had a slightly greasy coating on the floor. We actually wanted to stay two nights, but left immediately the next day.

Not just a transit point
Camping la Route Bleue is located approx. 80 km west of Lyon and is also very suitable as a stopover in Bordeaux. It is close to the highway, the approach can be a little confusing, i.e. do not follow the blue signs "La Route Bleue" but follow the campsite signs towards Pinay It is run by the very friendly... owners themselves. The site is spread over three levels, the upper western and middle levels are parceled out, the spacious pitches are bordered by hedges. The rental chalets are also located here. The lower level is separated by a path right next to the young Loire. Here the pitches are not demarcated and you follow the electricity columns. The sanitary facilities were not inviting at first glance, but were clean and perfectly serviceable when used. There was paper in the sitting toilets, without glasses. The pizza was very good and could be topped as desired. In the lower part, you can walk your dog along a footpath and along the river directly from the pitch. Pets are even free of charge. We liked it so much that we didn't stay just one night.

Over night camping
This cam seemed to be fisherman´s place. We stayed just for one night by the way to Bretagne. The camp is very spacious, so we could enjoy privacy.

Very warm welcome, helpful owners, good pizzas, ideal setting on the banks of the Loire. The pool is clean and well planted with flowers, the sanitary facilities are old but very clean, and we took advantage of the swimming pool, which was a real pleasure.

As already mentioned, the sanitary facilities are in need of an overhaul but clean. The site is ideal as a stopover on the new A 89 and a place of peace and quiet in the middle of nature directly on the Loire. There are small snacks and bread can be ordered in advance. The owner is very accommodating. Dogs are free of charge and walking them right by the river is fun. We have found the ideal place on the way to the Atlantic

Beautifully located campsite close to the highway. The sanitary facilities no longer correspond to today's standards and were not exactly well maintained during our visit. It will probably only be tidied up when the season starts.

Altijd plaats en een klein zwembadje om af te koelen.

Ideal overnight camping
Toevallig op de terugreis uit Spanje ontdekt. Het zwembadje was zeer welkom. We stayed there for another 2 complete vacations. Het sanitair is weliswaar niet super lux, Maar schoon, en voldoende in aantal. De Auverne is 1 uur rijdn ervandaan. Er is niet bijzonder veel te doen in de omgeving. Wel a paar... leuke plaatjes en een meertje waar je kunt zwemmen. Er is altijd voldoende plaats op de Camping, grote plaatsen met en zonder schaduw. Friendly management.
