Ships sailing in and out of the fjord, sailing boats without end and everything from the front row almost to touch. The operator couple and their staff were always in a good mood. The pitches on the dyke were okay in terms of size, but the pitches on the meadow were definitely too small with a caravan, awning and vehicle parked right in front of it. There was also no possibility to park... the vehicle in front of the pitch. There was not much sign of the friendliness of the site operators that is so often mentioned here, although to be fair it has to be said that the site was already well frequented and many campers were only there for one or two days. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained, perhaps a little dark. Despite the actual ban on dogs, there were a few dogs on the site and at least one dog was not from permanent campers. Steep, long, single-lane access road, hardly any alternative routes. No stopping in front of the gate, the police regularly collect parking tickets here. Use the parking bay in the hard shoulder in front of the gate; this should be indicated... on the homepage. Pitches on the embankment (for an extra charge, which is worthwhile) have a unique view of the fjord. However, no free choice of pitch. You are not asked where you want to stand. Seats are allocated and you have to stand almost exactly where the operators want you to stand, under supervision. Sometimes too close together, even if there are still plenty of free seats. This is incomprehensible and is not explained. The sanitary facilities (don't forget your chip) are very old, poorly heated, dark, but clean and hygienically impeccable! To shower, insert your chip in the corridor, then sprint to your cabin. When registering, the length of the vehicles is requested as the spaces are not all the same length. For vehicles over 7m we only have 6 spaces on the dam. The regulations for spacing must be observed. It is also... explained to everyone who asks. But it's like with dog owners, unfortunately there are many who don't comply with the rules and that's why we won't be allowing dogs here from 2018. The sanitary building is heated, but if the windows are open you can't get the room warm and the building can't get warm within 15 minutes. But the location and the heavenly peace and quiet on the site - apart from the boat mares - proved us wrong. The sanitary facilities are certainly not the newest and everything is a bit dark, but they were always clean despite the site... being fully booked. The couple who run the campsite are friendly and courteous and you can find everything you need in the kiosk. The location directly on the fjord hiking trail between Heikendorf and Laboe is unique. It is in a very beautiful location. From the dam you have a wonderful view of the Kiel Fjord, where ships can be seen all the time. The tenants are very nice. In their small store you can get the most important groceries. You can also eat there for really little money. It's only a few minutes by bike to Möltenort harbor. First of all, the great location of the campsite should be mentioned. As it is located directly at the harbor entrance, you can see great and large ships arriving every day - the highlight for me. It's just under 10 km by bike to the center... of Kiel and just under 4 km in the other direction to the great beach. The campsite is full of permanent campers, but they were all very friendly. In general it was a great atmosphere, despite the fact that the pitches were not separated from each other. The sanitary facilities were very clean and warm. There was music playing in the background. With a shower token for 50 cents you could shower for a good 10 minutes. You could order fresh, home-baked bread rolls every day. All in all, we would love to come back. The lack of privacy definitely makes up for the great location.Automatiskt översatt.
