"Turning off is worthwhile - Turning off is worth it... Hello textile campers, please don't come here. We are reluctant to write a positive review of a not-so-obvious gem, as we would still like to get hold of a pitch in the future. Nevertheless, we cannot hide the fact that we have found a little underrated gem in Camp Oštro. The family-run forest campsite offers plenty of shady spots, which are also appreciated by permanent campers from HR, SLO and I. Although the sanitary facilities are a little dated, they are always kept clean. The small supermarket offers the essentials, the Fortuna restaurant and the beach bar leave little to be desired: good and reasonably priced. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful (instead of telling you how to get to an electronics store, they get you the SD card you need). Thank you Besim. About the surrounding area: Even if the view is of the refinery near Rijeka, the immediate surroundings are more historically interesting than it first appears. A visit to the town of Bakar, about 12 km away at the natural harbor, shows the long history of seafaring on this coast. We also recommend a short hike along a gravel road to Kraljevica to the oldest continuously operated shipyard in the world (since 1729). "Ok for an overnight stay - I am a motorcyclist passing through. The site is ok, but not my kind of camping. In this respect, I can neither recommend nor advise against it. Heavily parceled out, lots of campers who want to keep to themselves. Beach heavily concreted.

"Very large facility - It is a very large site, most of the pitches are probably reserved for permanent campers. Almost all pitches are in the shade, sanitary facilities were clean and have apparently been renovated in recent years. Otherwise, it is probably a somewhat older site, a renovation would not hurt. There is everything on site: restaurant, two bakeries, café, ice cream parlor, small store, bar. The main beach is concrete, which I personally don't like, but that's probably a matter of opinion. Perfect for one night.

"beautiful shady campsite with its own beach - We arrived with bicycles and a tent. Very nice place under trees. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was a small supermarket with everything you need, as well as a bakery and a restaurant. The food was good and not expensive. The sanitary facilities were clean and modern. The sea was mostly accessible via platforms with steps and ladders, and partly via a stony beach. Everything was clean and tidy. You could snorkel very well in the water and see lots of fish.
