Everything is manageable and cozy. Walks and bike rides start right at the campsite. Many thanks to you both. Nice guided hike through the forest to the market place of our group by the lovely operator, Sabine.
If my journey of approx. 1000 km wasn't so far, I would come here regularly for a camper meeting.
One thing is certain, if I travel to the region again, I will definitely stay here overnight. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaars die ons wisten te overtuigen van het hebben van een juiste plaats voor ons. Aan de rand is een heerlijke grasstrook, lekker dik gras, waarop een tent geplaatst kan worden. We hebben... een mooi plaatsje gevonden in de hoek met uitzicht over de vallei. Sanitair en voorzieningen zijn uitstekend. We reizen met 2 motoren en een kleine tent.

The well thought-out, CO2-free energy supply is the icing on the cake. All around you can cycle, hike, explore historic towns and eat well.

Great location; good value for money.NegativaIn our opinion, the only disadvantage is the sloping pitch. Some pitches hang in two directions. Aligning our folding caravan therefore involved a lot of effort.A really great placeWhy go far away when good things are so close? For us, the place is ideal for a long weekend with a journey of around 70 km. Once you arrive in Ottobeuren, you can switch off straight away. Ottobeuren and the surrounding area offer plenty of opportunities to let off steam on a bike or mountain bike or... do a few laps in the outdoor pool. But Ottobeuren and the surrounding area are perfect for simply relaxing and switching off.

The location of the site is good as it is relatively quiet away from the main road. On the other hand, you can be on the A7 or A96 in less than 10 minutes, making it... easy to get anywhere.
The operators are very friendly and helpful. Fresh bread rolls or croissants from the local bakery can be ordered in advance.
The showers and toilets are well maintained and clean.
Even though there is a frequent changeover on the pitch, we didn't feel disturbed by vehicles arriving or departing in the morning or evening.
The gravel floor takes some getting used to, but dries quickly after rain. Clemens can't force the trees to grow. The plots are very large and have a gravel surface. They are not completely flat, so standard drive-on wedges are required. Water and electricity are very close, four plots share your electricity/water... column. Electricity is charged according to consumption (currently 70 Ct/kWh). The sanitary facilities are always clean. The operators are extremely friendly and totally unpretentious. During our stay, the site was heavily used as a transit site (close to the A7), which means that it is quiet in the evenings and mornings, but very quiet during the day. There are hardly any restaurants and stores, but you can be in town in a quarter of an hour and have all the options there. There are plenty of walks and bike rides from the campsite.

The gastronomy in Ottobeuren is very good. There are many good restaurants with Swabian specialties.
On the square you can buy the most necessary things if you need something. Every morning you can order... fresh rolls in advance.
The owner couple are extremely nice and helpful.
This creates a very relaxed atmosphere at the campsite.
