Operator very friendly. And we were told everything we needed to know when we were greeted, for example how the bread roll service works, where to leave the... pitch with the dog, etc. There are several "exits" so that not all dogs have to go the same way.
Wirtshaus im Ried offers a good selection at reasonable prices. Self-service is not a problem for us. We couldn't use the beer garden due to the weather...
Sanitary facilities are simple, but everything important is available and it was always exceptionally clean.

We arrived on the last Sunday of the Whitsun vacations and stayed for a week.Negativa- Only general reservations possible, no specific pitch selection in advance. - On comfort pitches, only south-facing pitches are required, on standard pitches only east-facing pitches - Many ants and flying bugs - Owners not exactly friendlyCalm and reclementaryFirstly, no seating plan was sent out and none was available online. So we could only reserve a comfort seat, but not decide which one. When we arrived, we were shown a seat that had been reserved for us. However, it was suitable and no better or worse than others. However, what we were not aware of... and was not communicated beforehand was that we had to face south. On comfort pitches you can only face south, on standard pitches east. This is probably due to the trees, which were planted approx. 3x3 meters from the plot boundary and were "unmistakably" communicated to us by the owner. We constantly had to contend with ants and vermin from the tree.
The sanitary facilities in the house were clean. We did not visit the ones in the construction containers. In general, we had the impression that we were on a campsite that was not yet finished. Here an open earthworks site, there building block distributors on one part of the site. The dividing hedges are stunted, the enclosure is an overgrown mound of earth. Three entrances are open and the entire site is freely accessible. But a barrier at the reception. Access is via narrow roads, even if you follow the signs. The pitches are large enough for a caravan, awning/awning and towing vehicle. Electricity is always available on site and fresh water is available in several places. SAT reception is... also possible without any problems due to the low tree cover.
The sanitary facilities are located in the basement of the main building, and there is a bathroom on the first floor for people with reduced mobility. The facilities are modern, were always clean and there are no shower coins in the showers. The only negative here was the very short interval for the water flow of 3-4 seconds per press of a button.
There is a restaurant in the main building, but during our stay at the end of May it was only open from 5-8pm. But this may be due to the season. Food and drink are cheap and filling, but the menu is small and not very regional, more "typical camper food". The playground is right next to the restaurant.
You can order bread rolls at reception the day before, which can then be picked up the next morning from 8:00 am.
During our stay, there were also containers with toilets and showers, albeit locked. The toilet containers would be particularly practical so that you wouldn't always have to walk to the main building to do your "big business".
Another small point of criticism: I didn't find any information about a lunch break on the website or in the booking confirmation email. This should be mentioned somewhere online so that you can plan your arrival accordingly. On site the lunch break was then from 12-14 o'clock.

When we arrived, we were given a very warm welcome and the groundsman set us up on a large overnight pitch.
You... should bring very long power cables. Depending on where you are, it is a very long way to the next power box.
The campsite was very quiet despite the many overnight guests. We slept well there and were able to continue our trip the next day feeling rested.
We would gladly come back for one night!

Families with children will certainly quickly reach their limits when it comes to keeping the little ones occupied. The place was ideal for us as dog owners, especially on New Year's Eve, after 10 minutes the fireworks were over. I took a closer look at the aircraft noise described in one comment, the planes are all at an altitude of 5,500 to... 12,000m, which in my opinion speaks for the quietness of the area. I can't confirm the helicopter noise mentioned in another comment, the Americans stationed nearby were probably on a maneuver at the time. The operators were all very friendly and courteous, they are campers themselves who know what you need. The sanitary facilities are all clean and adequate. The water running time of the showers is extremely short, but I will report this to the operator and ask for a remedy. The operator has promised me a remedy. All in all, we felt very comfortable here and will probably come back in the summer and spend New Year's Eve here again.Automatiskt översatt.

That's pretty much how it feels. And once farmer Horst has driven his tractor into the barn at nightfall, there is only deep silence; the lack of light smog from the big city creates a wonderful starry sky. Yes, the disadvantages are also the... advantages of this small, quiet place in the Franconian pampas. There is nothing far and wide to disturb the peace and quiet, apart from the occasional helicopter and the farmers with their tractors. You can't even get to the nearest Aldi supermarket without a car, but Rothenburg odT is only a stone's throw away, and even Würzburg and Dinkelsbühl can be reached in under an hour. About the place: the staff are always there for you, always friendly and always open to advice. Even at lunchtime, you can drive through the entrance in your car. The pitches are generously sized at 10x10m, electricity is always available in the middle of 4 pitches. There is only one (!) water tap (apart from the comfort pitches), but due to the small size of the pitch, this is not a forced march. The bread roll service on offer is bakery quality. Highly recommended! It's just a shame that you can't add it to your bill and have to fiddle around with small change every morning. The sanitary area was always clean and tidy. The campsite's own restaurant is highly recommended. Simple but tasty dishes at moderate prices. (Two of us ate there, including drinks, for less than €25) I found the waste separation a bit excessive, but that shouldn't detract from the overall impression. I would recommend Uffenheim (approx. 10km away) as the nearest shopping opportunity. There you have Lidl, Aldi, Edeka, Müller-Drogerie, DIY store and beverage market concentrated within 200m.Automatiskt översatt.
