- Ralf S.September 2023PositivaYou can immediately see and feel that the campsite is run with a lot of passion and heart and soul. The campsite is very natural. Everything is functional, well thought out, very comfortable and very clean. There is absolute peace and quiet. The CP has its own vegetable garden. A great concept. The landscape is impressive, charming and captivatingly beautiful. The starry sky at night is a show in itself. The place itself and the surrounding villages are authentic and the locals are very friendly. The campsite attracts a very pleasant crowd. Dog owners and four-legged friends looked visibly happy.NegativaNo disadvantages for me personally. The CP fee alone could be a deterrent for solo campers. The figures for two.So far the most beautiful and best place I have visited. An absolute recommendation.I was/am impressed and overwhelmed by the scenery. The Zagora is in no way inferior to the Adriatic coast, quite the opposite.
Unfortunately, at this time of year, a lot of water was already being tapped from the lake for agricultural purposes. It was therefore a long walk to get to the water. But not... a big deal.
I was recommended the months of May, June and July for water activities. There are many great MTB and cycling routes throughout the area. Most of the attractions can be reached by bike, including the Glavaš spring.
My means of transportation was mainly the MTB. There are shopping facilities in Vrlika. There are two mini-markets. The essentials are available there. The local butcher in Vrlika was closed. Not open again until October 3. The Ero restaurant was open and is said to have a good reputation. I can't give an assessment as I didn't eat there.
In other words, if you want to stay here longer, load enough provisions and other things you can't/won't do without into the caravan/camper.
Greetings from Altdorf, Lower Bavaria.Automatiskt översatt. - Udo K.September 2022PositivaPure nature - far away from the hustle and bustle of the world Friendly operators Free choice of pitchNegativa.. - ..Ideal for discovering Croatia's hinterland.Small but beautiful nature campsite, away from the hustle and bustle, (actually) on the shore of Perucko Jezero (lake). Due to the drought, you can currently (early Sept.) only reach the lake or the water after a walk across the dry shore area, but this does not detract from the beauty of the area. The... campsite can't help it.
Peace and pure nature is the motto. Free choice of pitch, whether on the open "pitch", on gravel or on the meadow, under trees, everyone will find their spot. Interesting, uncomplicated self-check-in in an old telephone box. Fill out a receipt and put it in a small safe together with the appropriate money - done. Simple but well thought-out and clean sanitary facilities, washing-up facilities, hiking and cycling maps hanging on the wall, a seating area with barbecue, friendly, unobtrusive staff, small garden with seasonal vegetables for everyone to pick themselves for a small fee. Simply beautiful.
We used our stay to visit the beautiful Cetina spring, which is about 12 km away but easy to reach by bike. We also recommend a detour to Prozor Castle, which towers above Vrilka, with a fantastic view of the Dinaric mountains, on the border with BIH and far into the Cetina plain. There are also restaurants and shops in Vrlika.Automatiskt översatt. - Olaf R.May 2022PositivaPeace and quiet in a wonderful location, large pitches, lakeside locationNegativaactually only the showers that are not separated into male and femalePeace and quiet in a wonderful locationPsst...insider tip...
Quiet and secluded, right on a beautiful lake. But far away from any amenities, so if you're expecting a bread roll service, restaurant or similar, you're in the wrong place. But the check-in in a converted telephone box is completely uncomplicated.
The friendly operator asks how you are every day and gives you tips.Automatiskt översatt. - Gerhard N.August 2021PositivaThere is no pool, no slide, no store, no disco, no entertainment here! Just pure nature, peace and quiet and black nights!NegativaThis year at the end of August, the water level was unfortunately already about 10 meters low. This was due to the need to irrigate the farmers' fields. Getting the kayak into the water was therefore a bit of a challenge, but not impossible.WOW‼️There is no pool, no slide, no store, no disco, no entertainment here! Just pure nature, peace and quiet and black nights!
This year in August the water level was unfortunately already about 10m low. Getting the kayak into the water was therefore a bit of a challenge, but not impossible. With the kayak... you can look for and use beautiful beaches for swimming. .
On the other hand, the more moderate weather offers every opportunity to explore the area near and far with easy hikes or by bike on the countless gravel roads and through the small villages.
You can find wild blackberries, creepers, dirndls, plums, peaches, grapes and of course figs 😋.
If you want more, you can also plan hundreds of meters in altitude.
Those who want to go really high can climb the Dinara (1813m), Croatia's highest mountain, or the
Troglav (1913m) in the Dinaric mountains. This (11h, 28km, 1700m) hike requires good equipment and fitness. You won't find any wild fruit, but plenty of beautiful views and, with a bit of luck, edelweiss to look at!
Particularly noteworthy is the Cetina, which has its sensational source in the village of the same name, the two bridges (Plokasti, Balecki), the old mill, the church ruins with the old cemetery and of course the mouth with the meter-high waterfalls into the Peruga reservoir. After many more kilometers, it finally flows into the Mediterranean in Omnis.
The old town of Vrlika, situated in front of the protective rock and the small castle ruins, offers a beautiful photo motif from afar. And there is an 'Ulica Aloisa Mocka' there, in honor of the recognition of Croatia by the then Foreign Minister Alois Mock!
A little further on, there is Knin with Dalmatia's largest castle ruins and one of the best espressos in the world 😋, the source of the Krka and the sensational path to it,... and and and
For all those who don't want to go with the mainstream, it's simply beautiful and highly recommended.
dahartl 😎 ©Automatiskt översatt. - kersten s.June 2021PositivaCleanliness, outstanding hospitality and friendliness of the operators, camping in the midst of beautiful, unspoiled, wild and romantic natureNegativaNo disadvantagesPure nature, absolutely recommendable, get to know Croatia also in the hinterland! We ( married couple 55 and 58 from the Salzburger Land ) have enjoyed camping vacations all our lives and have been to many different countries. We have never experienced such a clean campsite (for example, it was impossible to find a limescale stain on the tap) and such caring, helpful owners in absolutely... unspoilt nature directly on a crystal-clear lake.
For the first time we were able to stand here on a campsite in the middle of the pine forest completely alone (just wonderful), because there is no reception (self check in mega thoughtfully made in a telephone house). Nevertheless, you can feel absolutely safe.
The hard-working, friendly Ilse, who is always cleaning and is happy to give good tips in German for excursions into the super beautiful nature (be sure to go to the source of the river Cetina) and the helpful, super nice owner Dragan, are worth a visit in themselves.
Super good for cycling, perfect route signs and hiking, of course for swimming or fishing in the lake. Restaurants in Vrlika, only 15 minutes away by bike on almost untraveled roads. Our tip: Come here and get to know the beautiful hinterland of Croatia. Croatia is much more than just beaches and the sea. Dragan thank you, we will be back :-) We wish you lots of success with your super beautiful campsite; pure nature and no frills just the way we love it!Automatiskt översatt. - Anita V.July 2020PositivaLots of space and quiet in the campground Beautiful swimming in the lake. Creatively landscaped bathroom facilities, clean and available. Nice owner, beautiful environment.NegativaNo big stores, restaurants nearby. But you can get by just fine with a little less. Lake water was a bit low this year, which made walking there a bit challenging.Private lake of 20 kmOf course we were looking for a quiet place, because of Corona, etc. This was a real gem! It was lovely with the tent under the trees, a wide view of the entire campground, and excellent facilities. At the entrance the bathhouse and dishwashing facilities built in 2 connected sea containers. Nice hot... water, everything very clean. Near our tent was an extra toilet facility, nice and convenient for evenings and nights. The owner pointed out a beautiful spring in the area. Really beautiful.
If you like swimming, the campsite is really a must ... you can swim in all directions. ( If you can swim, for children it was now less suitable because the water was much lower than normal and therefore the lake has a very large "beach" with stones, which normally would be at the bottom of the lake. But once you are there....heerlijk!Automatiskt översatt. - Michael S.July 2020PositivaPeace and quiet, pure natureNegativaVery poor bathing opportunities due to low water (water level at least 15m below normal)Peace and solitudeThe site is at the end of a cul-de-sac, check-in with a registration slip and 160 kn (camper and 2 people) in an envelope. Some unmarked shady pitches in mixed forest on uneven gravel, otherwise free meadow pitches on partly sloping ground. Lake has very little water, bathing is only possible with difficulty,... all muddy banks and poor access. Sanitary facilities/showers basic, but OK. Waste disposal available. Beautiful but challenging cycle routes, some on gravel in the surrounding area. Self-catering necessary, no shopping facilities or restaurant nearby. Fishing possible at the lake.Automatiskt översatt.
- Herb D.August 2019PositivaAbsolute peace and quietNegativaThe nearest town can only be reached by car or bike.Completely off the beaten trackThe site is completely secluded and if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Ideal as a base for mountain biking or hiking. There is no WLAN. The sanitary facilities are housed in a container. Completely adequate and in good condition. Cleaning was done in the morning. The pitches... are on 2 gravelled terraces with no shade. There is enough space. Tents can be set up under the trees. But then without electricity. The nearby lake is great for swimming, even if it only had a little water left in August. The nearest place to eat is about 4 km away, a bathing jetty about 1 km. There is no other infrastructure. Check-in: 110 kuna in the envelope, fill in the registration form. That was it.Automatiskt översatt.
