- Sandra S.augusti 2019PositivaNice restaurant, okay for 1-2 nights, cheapNegativaSanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired, reception opening hours, locked sheds for washing up of moderate qualityRuhrpott charm without end...Fortunately we were only there for 2 nights because we wanted to go to the caravan fair. The reception, which is only open until 7pm, leaves a lot to be desired. Although we had called in advance to let them know that we would not be arriving until shortly before 7pm, at 6.55pm "the cash desk was already... closed", the employee was gruff and demanded a €50 deposit instead of €20, as we could only check in properly the next morning. On Sundays, reception is only staffed from 10am, so you can't leave before then if you want the deposit for the barrier card back. The sanitary facilities are basic and moderately clean. The dishwashing area is in a locked wooden shed and dirty. However, there is a very friendly member of staff who is really helpful. The restaurant on site is reasonably priced and has good food, although the kiosk only provides baked bread rolls. The operators are really local and you can enjoy a few snacks and a beer in a covered seating area with tables right next door. The campsite is mainly occupied by permanent campers with their first residence. As a "tourist" you are somewhere in between. We had a fairly large pitch with electricity, water and drainage. With a bit of scout spirit, you can also find a place to dispose of waste. Waste is separated. Due to the somewhat illogical distribution of the individual types of waste (paper waste is collected at the tennis court), everyone throws it as they see fit. The approach is special. Narrow, bumpy road next to the tracks. If things go really badly, the satnav takes you the other way round via a private road and you end up in front of a locked steel gate. At least the permanent campers who are serving a minimum 1-year stay have the necessary key 45. Everyone else needs a reverse gear. All in all, we would not visit this site again.Automatiskt översatt.
- Klaus-Peter A.mars 2018PositivaConveniently located, large parking spacesNegativaLimited infrastructure, washrooms could do with renovationPermanent campsite, stopover or work accommodationI stayed here for a few months as I was working in Duisburg. Overall, I was quite satisfied, even if the atmosphere among the permanent campers and vacation homes takes some getting used to. As a foreigner, you should also prepare yourself for the possible 'Ruhrpott charm', which in my experience differs... only in nuances from the 'Berliner Schnauze'. The pitch was very spacious, but access with the 7-meter Tabbert was a challenge. There were connections for water, electricity and waste water at the site. The site is located between a rail freight line and the highway, both of which are clearly audible. Overall relatively remote, but well connected to Duisburg by the regional train (stop 10 minutes on foot) and the road. The restaurant on the site is nice and reasonably priced, the kiosk's offer is rather modest. I would recommend this place for business stays (like mine) and a stopover on the way. In my opinion, the touristic value is very limited.Automatiskt översatt.
- Claudia D.augusti 2017PositivaRelatively close to Düsseldorf, friendly staff.NegativaVery high proportion of permanent campersSpace for permanent campersFor us, this was not a typical vacation campsite, as you camp here in the middle of a housing estate. The site is full of small bungalows, old caravans, hedges and all kinds of garden gnomes. Other holidaymakers were certainly there too, but as campers we were quite isolated for one night among the permanent... campers. There is a pub with friendly staff and very reasonable prices, but the food was only partially convincing. The staff are friendly. The sanitary facilities are cleaned between 7-7.30 in the morning. However, the floor and washbasins in the toilets were generously forgotten... The location on the lake is beautiful, but numerous signs indicate that swimming is prohibited. The highway is unfortunately very close, so the noise pollution is correspondingly high. Unfortunately there were some cigarette butts on our pitch and the previous guests must have liked to eat potatoes, because the leftovers were scattered in two different places... For a short stopover it's okay, for several days there should be a few less negative points.Automatiskt översatt.
- Siegfried E.augusti 2016PositivaSufficiently large pitches with good access. Sanitary good and clean.NegativaNoise, access roadPermanent campsite with few touring camper pitchesThe campsite is actually a housing estate of permanent houses, which also leads to conflicts with the public administration. The access road is narrow and can only be driven on level ground with caravans. There are only a few pitches available on the site for touring campers. The sanitary facilities... are good and adequate and always clean. Washing up is only possible at a single outside sink with a wooden crate. Better to wash up at the caravan! The noise from the nearby A3 highway and the nearby railroad never stops. The service is friendly, the bread rolls are good and the regular grocer is very friendly and well-stocked. The place is suitable for travelers who want to visit the Ruhr area.Automatiskt översatt.
- Frank L.juli 2016PositivaLocation, infrastructure, electricity, water, drainage, everything on the plotNegativaVacation pitches almost always between permanent campers, simply too few tourist pitches, what about the bathing lake?Actually a good place, but ......................Actually a nice place. You have everything you need there. Unfortunately, the site is too heavily influenced by the permanent campers who practically live there. There is a small kiosk, you can go out to eat, there is a lake nearby where you are apparently not allowed to swim, although there is a beach.... The staff are friendly and helpful. If the place was run as a vacation place....er would certainly run. There is a mega large playground, soccer pitch etc. Unfortunately everything is not in the best condition.Automatiskt översatt.
- Ulrich F.augusti 2015PositivaSanitary facilities clean and pleasant. Friendly neighbors.NegativaVery loud - depending on the wind (highway and train traffic). No bathing or swimming facilities. If you don't like it here, you can leave....This was the comment of a lady at reception (I had this confirmed twice) after criticizing a small detail. I didn't manage to confuse that with Ruhrpott charm. Oh well, there were nice, polite staff too. The site, as others have already noted, is clearly not a tourist site. You stand between mobile homes that are no longer mobile. Sanitary, etc. completely ok. Starting point for visits to Duisburg.Automatiskt översatt.
- Holger J.juli 2014PositivaGood facilities on site with kiosk and restaurant, good sanitary facilities.NegativaLittle contact with other tourists.Permanent campsiteIt is a permanent campsite, many with mobile homes, fewer with caravans. It is also suitable for tourists, but you will hardly have any tourists as neighbors. Ideal starting point for beautiful hikes through the large Mülheim and Duisburg city forest - the site is right on the city limits. Attention!... The site can only be reached from the north, many navigation systems will give you the wrong directions. From the highway, either take the Wedau exit and then drive through Bissingheim or come from Mülheim via Großenbaumer Straße. The Sechs-Seen-Platte is not far, but by car you have to cross the railroad tracks at the Wedau bridge. It is shorter by bike via the Lintorfer Waldweg. Duisburg, Mülheim and the surrounding towns can be reached quickly by car. There is also a regional train stop "Duisburg Entenfang" close to the square with one train connection per hour. Travel time to Duisburg main station is 11 minutes.Automatiskt översatt.
- Rena R.maj 2014This is the pot...If you want to experience the Ruhr region and its inhabitants live, this is the place to be. You can meet them, permanent campers and travelers, especially at the Campertränke. Public transport connections are available, 5 min. to the slow train to Duisburg main station.Automatiskt översatt.
- Corina H.maj 2013One night on this CP is enough: it is located between highway and railroad line. So it is relatively noisy. Almost exclusively permanent campers in permanent accommodation. Our pitch was difficult to reach, even with a small camper van. A long way to the wash house.Automatiskt översatt.
- Anna v.augusti 2012Great place to stay for one night. Friendly welcome. Small pitches between permanent campers (more permanent residents here, everyone leaves for work early in the morning!) People know each other. The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly and lovingly look after their garden gnomes. We especially... liked the pub: Schnitzel, pizza and schnapps, all of the best quality. There is even a sales kiosk, a swimming lake and everything in a central Ruhr area location.Automatiskt översatt.
