- Dieter W.May 2019PositivaFlat grassy areas in the terraced grounds, new sanitary building with free showersvery well-kept place, extremely favorableThe club-owned site is lovingly cared for and maintained. The friendliness of the staff is great, as is the service! There are free tables and chairs for people who come by bike or on foot. The showers are included for a very low daily price.Automatiskt översatt.
- Nico H.May 2019PositivaVery nice place, good starting point for hikers, mountain bikers and people who just want to enjoy the peace and quiet.NegativaThe second seat is still a little behind technically, but it's not a problem.A small idyll in the Harz MountainsVery nice place and nice people. Not overcrowded and quiet. We will be back very soon and will also stay there then.Automatiskt översatt.
- Heike P.December 2018Nice place with a convenient locationNice reception, friendly and helpful permanent campers. The lack of toilet paper mentioned in other reviews is no longer an issue - everything available. Very convenient location for exploring the surrounding area. Dogs are welcome.Automatiskt översatt.
- Wolfgang H.August 2018Vacation in natureA quiet place, the campers are friendly and helpful. Clean toilets. A good place for dogs too.Automatiskt översatt.
- Claus V.May 2018PositivaQuiet yet well-connected location in Bad Harzburg. Many tourist destinations are within easy reach. Bicycle and hiking routes are nearby.NegativaNo bread rolls or similar on the pitch.Through camper hell to camper paradiseThe site is located at the rear of an abandoned former campsite in Bad Harzburg. Once you have driven through the 'remains' of the old site, you will find a well-kept, quiet and friendly site near the 'wolves'. The pitches are large. If there are not too many(!) tourists, the modern and clean sanitary facilities are perfectly adequate.Automatiskt översatt.
- Jens A.October 2017Positivaclean sanitary facilities dogs are welcome friendly groundsman and permanent campers good starting point for excursionsNegativano water connection on the pitch no toilet paper and towels in the sanitary building No kiosk on site Approach through "camper hell"Ideal place for short breaks and excursionsWe, 2 adults, 3 children (14,10,6) and a dog stayed here for a week in October. After a short shock on arrival, we arrived at a nice and beautiful place. We were immediately given a friendly welcome by the groundsman. Background: The front part of the old campsite is totally dilapidated and scared us... a little at dusk. But if you drive a little further through the "hell" you come to the actual campsite, which is maintained by the permanent campers as an association. During our visit, the campsite was hardly frequented, so we had a free choice of pitches and were able to settle down right next to the playground. If you are dependent on fresh water, you should stand as close as possible to the sanitary building, as all pitches are without a water connection. The sanitary facilities were new, nice, clean and simple. However, you have to bear in mind that there is no toilet paper here, so you can't go to the loo spontaneously. There is also no place to dry your hands. The sanitary building is also only cleaned every 2 days, which didn't bother us in the fall with so few campers. But I don't know what it's like in high season. The location is great and the site is quiet. We were able to reach all our excursion destinations (Wernigerode, Schierke ascent to the Brocken, glass factory, summer toboggan run, etc.) within 30 minutes. ) within a maximum of 30 minutes by car. Also there are enough hiking possibilities directly from the place. Bad Harzburg can also be reached quickly by bus. This is included with the spa card. At the moment a riding facility is trying to settle there. But we did not use it. If you want to have food or fresh bread rolls you have to go to Bad Harzburg to the bakery (about 3 minutes), because on the square there is no kiosk and no restaurant. Dogs are very welcome here.Automatiskt översatt.
- Ute S.October 2017PositivaThe location and the peace and quietNegativaFar to the water point.no toilet paperCamping with restrictionsBeautifully situated.you should not be put off by the access road.afterwards everything is tidy.sanitary new and clean, only restriction no toilet paper, you have to bring it yourself.we go to a lot of campsites a year and have been doing so for 28 years, but we have never experienced this with toilet paper... anywhere else. There are a lot of tall trees, so you can only get sun and TV reception without restrictions in the playground area, but from there it is quite a long way to the sanitary building, unfortunately this is also the only way to get fresh water, because there are no other water taps on the whole area, otherwise very nice and quiet.Automatiskt översatt.
- Eberhard K.August 2017PositivaThe location / cleanliness / tranquillityNegativa??? for me noneWas there with 6 Husky and will be there againSuper, just super. I was very late on arrival and got in line like the first person. Reaction from the groundsman - It's all good, it's not that bad, everything can be fixed -. Do you have any questions?Automatiskt översatt.
- Petra R.August 2017PositivaArrival possible at any time, pets are welcome guests.NegativaUnfortunately, the groundsman cannot yet influence the weather.Welcome at any time of day or nightall very friendly, can also be used by people with disabilities despite slightly Paths can also be used for people with disabilities. The sanitary facilities are a dream.Automatiskt översatt.
- Wilfried P.August 2017PositivaCleanliness ,Friendliness ,Helpfulness ,Free showersNegativaCould not find anyThe long journey from southern Germany was worth it.I visited the course for the first time in the summer of 2016. And I came back again this summer. Even after the flood damage, the place is great again. The campers are super nice. And the wash house is super clean. Once you have driven through the terrible driveway (it's not the camping club's fault) you arrive at a very well-kept site. It is great that a horse farm is now located in the upper part. It's just great, I'll be back.Automatiskt översatt.
- Ole Kristian M.July 2017PositivaThe nature that surrounds the siteNegativaThe maintenance standard No reception? Strange staff?Terrible spaceWe drove to the site as we thought it seemed exciting from the description. When we arrived, the first sight was an abandoned inn that hasn't been maintained. There were broken windows and it looked like a big mess. We drove on through what may have once been a boom. There were dilapidated sheds on the... further drive towards/into the site. There were permanent campers on the site, which was in a really nice area. The pitches were in tiers and it could have been a wonderful site if someone took care of maintaining it a little. Apparently no one does? We ended up at the bottom and had to take a different route back - a slightly complicated one, it has to be said. When we got back, a small motorhome came towards us. Out of it came a very angry man who started to scold me for driving into the campsite? At no point did we see anything that even resembled a reception or anything that showed us where to go. I can in no way recommend anyone to use this site. To be fair, I don't know anything about showers, toilets and other facilities at the site as we chose to leave after meeting the strange person. But I can't believe that things work particularly well when the general maintenance of the campsite is as it is. Later, through some research, we found out that the campsite had gone bankrupt about 5 years ago. A permanent resident had allegedly taken it over. This has not been good for the site. The opportunities are there, butAutomatiskt översatt.
- Cindy C.May 2017PositivaThe peace and quiet when the groundsman isn't out with his vehicleNegativaThe showers and toilets are often dirty because they are only cleaned 3 times a week.standstill since 2014A new board has probably been elected, but almost nothing has improved, they have let it slip that people with dogs are more welcome than families. The groundsman still runs around the pitch with a beer bottle.Automatiskt översatt.Besvaras från Campingplatz "Die Wölfe vom Wolfstein e.V." August 13, 2017Anyone who writes a review of their visit in May 2017 in August 2017, i.e. a quarter of a year later, cannot really be taken seriously.
It should also be noted that enough "guests" go into the sanitary facilities with their street shoes and thus spread the "dirt" from the meadow back into the sanitary... building immediately after cleaning. It is true that our sanitary building is thoroughly cleaned three days a week and on the other days as required.
We are not a 5-star campsite, but an association that tries to preserve the permanent campsites that were threatened by the insolvency of the old owner.
It's a pity that none of the guests contact the board with their comments or let the groundsman know. Incidentally, the groundsman doesn't run around the pitch with a beer bottle in his hand... but even he has to get off work after an 8-hour day.Automatiskt översatt. - Hans-Jürgen S.September 2016Nice campersVery nice people there. - richard s.April 2016Positivacentral, quiet, cleanNegativaapprox. 3 min. by car to the shops .the Easter get-togetherWe were there at Easter with 15 caravans, it was great camping, unfortunately the weather didn't really feel like it. Central - quick access to the Harz mountains and the city. Ideal for excursions.Automatiskt översatt.
- Wolfgang# R.September 2015PositivaQuiet location, commitment of the site operatorsNegativaShopping facilities, catering, eating out not possible on siteCampsite in transitionA campsite on a slight to medium slope, laid out in terraces. In addition to a few permanent campers, there is also plenty of space for tourists. As already described by others, the lower area is now managed by the association. The (former) entrance area clearly bears witness to the past with its vacant... old buildings, the access road down to the current campsite area has some deep ruts, which cannot even be driven through at walking speed (at least not with a caravan behind). The newly renovated sanitary building left an ambivalent impression. Top clean, everything new and lovingly designed, but then again no toilet paper in the toilet cubicles. Yes, you know in advance, but spontaneous visits to the toilet are still not possible. Some shower cubicles without sufficient changing facilities in the cubicle, i.e. without a partition wall in the cubicles. Which I also didn't like: A door to the toilet area with plenty of floor space and in front of it - via a corridor - the washing-up facilities for the dishes. Here, both parties can hear the other! I can't imagine that the number of sanitary facilities is sufficient when the pitch is well occupied, but I can't confirm this as it was empty during our stay, at least as far as tourists were concerned. There are plenty of excursion and hiking opportunities in the surrounding area, so you won't get bored, at least in good weather. The commitment of the "wolves" deserves recognition, but in my opinion there is still a lot to do.Automatiskt översatt.
- Michael W.August 2015PositivaCleanliness relaxation Peace and quiet Top guardhouseNegativaUnfortunately, the entrance is still the legacy.... A star is born here! After the difficult years, you can already reap the first harvest. I can't make any great demands on the infrastructure yet. But the wash house is top, the friendliness is great and the relaxation and tranquillity is unique. The commitment of the members is commendable. In a few years, the course could be playing in the first Harz League.Automatiskt översatt.
- Michael K.August 2015PositivaNature, tranquillity, hiking offers, very well-kept atmosphere, friendly welcome, a fantastic sunset, all year round ... Pure leisure time!NegativaDo not be put off by the access area. It still belongs to the insolvency estate of the previous owner and is currently not being managed.Whether short trip or vacationA beautiful place on the northern slope of the mountain, surrounded by greenery and in an idyllic, quiet location. Work is constantly being done to improve the site, which is already very well maintained, and new things are being developed with great commitment. Large camping pitches, which can be accessed... directly by car and still offer space for sunbathing and cozy evenings on the terrace, round off the homely character. We have visited it several times and enjoyed the very friendly, open-minded atmosphere. It was therefore not difficult for us to support the festivals with enthusiasm, even though we are not even 'permanent' campers. It was always a wonderful time there ... and we will be back!Automatiskt översatt.
- Anders J.July 2014Deserves a reviewThis site is run by an association of permanent campers who took over the operation of part of the site after a bankruptcy. We got a very very friendly reception and tour and even though we decided to move on, we could see that we could take a few days at this site in another time where pool is not a requirement.Automatiskt översatt.
