Unfortunately, this was canceled due to Corona. So we had to find another campsite at short notice. I found the Dilborner Mühle here at Campinginfo and was lucky enough to get a pitch on request. I was greeted by a super nice campsite operator on arrival. We had one... of the 7 pitches between the permanent campers. But this is perfectly okay. The sanitary facilities are nice and clean. The site is in a quiet location surrounded by forest on the edge of the village. Dog owners can walk their four-legged friends directly from the site. The whole area is ideal for hiking and cycling. Roermond is also just a stone's throw away. In any case, we were totally delighted with our emergency solution and booked a pitch again for Corpus Christi. The only thing I found annoying was that you also need a shower token to wash up and use hot water.Automatiskt översatt.

Last night we had our first Oktoberfest at the entrance, which was a great success and well attended. A very pleasant community and extremely clean sanitary facilities. Lots of nature all around, ideal for cycling, hiking, mountain biking in the nearby former military area. The nearby town is approx. 2 km away... through the renaturalized Schwalmauen. The site is dominated by permanent campers, but there are a few parceled-out tourist pitches at the entrance to the site and around 8-10 unparceled pitches on the meadow at the end of the site. From there it is a little further to walk to the sanitary... building, but the peace and quiet is heavenly. There are two sanitary buildings right next to each other, an old one, which has been renovated, and a newly built one. It takes some getting used to that you have to bring your own toilet paper. Unfortunately, there is no toilet roll holder in the old sanitary block. The cleanliness is okay, washing machine and dryer are available, the showers cost 50 ct/5 minutes, whereby the time only counts if the water is flowing. There is a small restaurant where you can drink coffee and eat cake or drink a cold beer. Gas bottles can be exchanged at a sensationally low price. The site is certainly not a 5-star site, but everything you need is there and the pitch fees are very reasonable. We liked it without reservation and would come here again if we wanted to spend a few days in the area.Automatiskt översatt.- Karin B.January 2018Positiva- good, quiet location to hiking trails and to Brüggen - new sanitary building - shorter walks just as possible as extended hikesNegativa- High mirrors in the sanitary area - Restaurant somewhat "old-french" and smoky - few tourist seatsVery beautiful and quiet location on the SchwalmauenWe spontaneously visited this campsite near Brüggen in January, which is ideal for hiking and cycling. Although the site is mainly occupied by permanent campers, it has some nice and quiet pitches for tourists. We also liked the new sanitary building, which was not open in January, but which we had someone... show us. The quiet mornings and evenings in the wintry Schwalm floodplains offer a number of encounters with nature that would remain hidden in dense foliage: e.g. a wide variety of bird species. The town of Brüggen is about half an hour's walk away, where you can stroll through the historic town center with its great cafés and restaurants. Even hikes lasting several hours are possible. There is an excellent connection to the hiking network of the water hiking trail through German-Dutch nature parks. Very idyllic and varied, and as a hiker you can easily switch to paths where you are safe from cyclists if you are out and about with your dog. We usually go to so-called 5-star campsites where there are almost no shower tokens left. But they weren't a problem on this pitch, as you can get 5 minutes of hot water for 50 cents, which in our opinion is very good value for money. What really bothered us, however, were the relatively high mirrors in the older ladies' sanitary block. As we were on the road a lot and then in our camper van, the rather dark, rustic and, for non-smokers, rather smoky state of the restaurant on the site didn't really matter to us.Automatiskt översatt.
