Werner B.June 2024PositivaUncomplicated check-in, close to the highway, good for transit,Negativa-Weekend tripWe spent the weekend at this campsite 🏕️. We felt very comfortable and used it as a starting point for cycling tours. this is still a campsite without frills.
The toilet 🚾 facilities and the shower room were modern, although you need a euro coin to shower 🚿. You can shower with it for 5 minutes. The time is good enough.

Restaurant on site, but expensive.
The owners of the campsite put their... heart and soul into it, are absolutely friendly and always in a good mood. We've been here several times now.... Always in a good mood and cheerful.
Bread roll service if ordered in advance.
Child-friendly, nice playground.
Dogs are allowed, leash is compulsory anyway.

We were promised a large pitch for our family tent. When we arrived, we were told that there were no 100 m² pitches on the site. We were allocated a pitch measuring approx. 7x5m. Our tent was approx. 60 cm away from the neighbor's side wall on... both sides with a view of a garage door. To barbecue, I had to park our car outside and then set up the barbecue between the neighbor's parked cars. The tight space caused stress with the neighbors. We later found out that there was a neighboring site with 100 and 120 sqm pitches. Never again at the Mainblick campsite.Automatiskt översatt.
Rene J.July 2021PositivaNice staff, nice small restaurantNegativaPitches, noisy permanent campersPitches too small, nothing for longer vacationsReception very friendly and competent, there is a small restaurant with a beer garden and the entrance area is nicely laid out. The sanitary facilities are clean. The pitch itself is very poor. Everything is close together, even the smallest gap is filled. Corona does not seem to be an issue here, only... with strict monitoring of the FFP2 mask requirement in the entrance area. Some of the seats are so small that you can't even extend an awning because you'll be stuck to the person in front of you. You can't see anything else! There is no access to the Main unless you have a pitch directly in front of it, otherwise you have to walk across a pitch (you don't!). Some pitches are completely unstructured, there are not enough water points and they are very spacious. Many permanent campers are very loud and their behavior is unacceptable for a campsite. All in all, unfortunately, an unattractive place and the price is still quite high. Too bad, the area is very beautiful and you could definitely spend a longer vacation. Simply an ideal starting point for paddling and cycling. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities leave nothing to be desired. They are quite modern and were cleaned regularly. At the reception you can... order your daily bread ration, which is ready for collection at half past 7 in the morning and clearly placed. W-LAN is unfortunately only available for a fee (1,- €/4 hours). However, the time is not correct and seems to depend more on the data volume used. The showers are unfortunately also chargeable and were changed from 1 €/6min to 1€/4min in the men's area during our stay. The biggest disadvantage on this site, however, are the pitches, which are definitely too small. We couldn't move into the pitch we had reserved because otherwise we would have been sitting next to the neighbor on the awning wall. We were allocated a new pitch, which was supposed to be a bit bigger. But this one was also only between 50 and max. 60 square meters. Perhaps just enough for a motorhome pitch. But with a caravan and car (for which you have to pay extra at the site) it was just a makeshift. An awning is only possible if you steal a piece of the pitch from the neighbor with a small camper van. After consulting the reception, I was told that the pitch conditions might have to be changed. Place well maintained and clean. Sanitary partly new and everything super clean. Small pool was just as well maintained, but with strange opening hours. Registration on the second floor - long stairs up. The boss drove ahead with the scooter to the parking space, which could... be approached without maneuvering. Pitch with a view of the Main, where you could watch boats and ships. The path to go for a walk started right behind the caravan. Electricity right next to the pitch, water tap not far away, but hidden in a rear alcove. Almost enough for 5 stars, but unfortunately there are no shopping facilities apart from a bread roll service. Everything is also a bit complicated here: sanitary facilities spread over several buildings and floors, you need barrier chips to enter and exit each time - you get them from the boss (right! up a long flight of stairs), you have to buy food in the self-service restaurant next to the pool at reception and take drinks with you and pay for them straight away. The boss only likes cash and that immediately! For shopping you have to go to Dettelbach (a nice little town) where you can also go by bike. We took a short bike ride to Sommerach to the Main (wine) island. To do this, first cross the Main bridge (cycle lane) and if you pay close attention to the signs, you'll get there easily and won't get lost twice like we did. Unfortunately, I can't understand why some guests are upset about the charges for showers, electricity,... dishwashing and laundry, which can be found on the Internet or in all camping guides. If a so-called woman "Karin" wants everything included, she should choose another campsite, but not write false things in her review. Quiet and located directly on the Main with a small jetty. The pitches for those passing through are not parceled out and some are so spacious that caravans do not have to be unhitched. The sanitary facilities are as good... as new and tiptop clean. There are euro coin-operated machines for hot water for showering or washing up. There are also washing machines and dryers, as well as a small pool and adjacent playground. There is a restaurant on the site with a covered beer garden. Bread rolls can be pre-ordered for the morning. We paid 19 euros for 2 people with a camper plus 3 euros for electricity. All in all, we were completely satisfied (well, the electric hand dryer in the men's toilet is a bit annoying if you stand at the front) and will definitely be back.Automatiskt översatt.
