Our children hardly know any other place in summer. The older one is now 12 and the little one is 4. I absolutely cannot confirm that some people write that the campsite is not for children.
Of course, the place doesn't have the flair of other... Greek places, but I like to sit on a toilet seat. You can experience a lot as a tourist in Greece just by looking at the toilets. That's absolutely great here.
And if you drive a few minutes by car, you'll find lots of great restaurants. You can also eat well at the campsite and in the neighboring complex.

Immediately after the ferry arrived in Patras, we drove 80 km to the campsite. The campsite is right by the sea, but access to the water is a bit rocky and stony. However, there is a beautiful, clean pool with plenty of sun loungers. The sanitary facilities... are new and are cleaned regularly. The campsite has plenty of shade provided by trees and hedges. The mini market is very well stocked and open all day. The restaurant should be emphasized with a very good selection of dishes and drinks for a campsite. S.September 2018PositivaAlles uitstekend verzorgd.NegativaDe nabije omgeving behalve het strand is weinig uitnodigend voor fietsen en wandelen.mooie plek om te relaxenWij waren 2018 in september 2 x een paar dagen op de camping. De eerste keer om na drie dagen reis via Ancona en Patras in Griekenland aan te komenen tot rust te komen. Daarvoor is de camping prima geschikt. Wij stonden met onze camper nabij de uitgang naar het strand. De camping heeft zonnige en schaduwplekken.... In de schaduw is het voor ons te donker. Wat de camping uitmaakt is de mooie aanleg met heel veel prachtig bloeiende planten, telkens weer een plezier om naar het mooie zwembad, het restaurant (afhankelijk van de gasten soms wat veel lawaai tot in de nacht) en de uitstekend verzorgde sanitairgebouwen te gaan, vlinders overal. Het restaurant zelf had wisselende kwaliteit bij dezelfde gerechten. De camping beschikt over een kleine supermarkt waar je alles wat je benodigt kan krijgen. De nabije omgeving stelt niet veel voor. Mooiere plekken minstens op fietsafstand, maar eigenlijk heb je een auto nodig om de omgeving te verkennen. Interessant vonden wij Loutra Kyllinis, een kosteloos zwavelmodderbad uit Romeinse tijden, nog steeds in gebruik, vooral door Grieken. Ik had na eenmalig gebruik geen last meer van een eczeem. Verder Kastro Kyllini. Maar wat dat betreft zijn er op de Peleponnesos interessantere plekken.

Well maintained, super clean. Good restaurant. Unfortunately, less beautiful beach with lots of rocks and sea urchins. But good for snorkeling (octopuses, moray eels). It has to be said that 90% of all campsites are run-down and more or less dilapidated, the remaining 10% can be listed quite quickly. At the top of the list of "civilized" campsites... is Ionian Beach, which would also be a luxury campsite in Germany. Spacious, ambience of a 4-star hotel, extremely clean, adequate and good sanitary facilities (a rarity), heated pool (!), beautiful beach, nice taverna and super friendly staff. Everything is just right here, even the price: €19 with the ACSI card in June 2018, and only €15 next door, which is very reasonable. However, the Ionian Beach has also become a victim of its success: in May/June 2018, the site was so full that we ended up switching to the neighboring site, which is a good level below, but still had a lot of free space and somehow more freedom and Greek flair. Nevertheless, we can only warmly recommend the Ionian, but of course everyone has to decide for themselves where their priorities lie. Tip: Visit the tavernas in the surrounding villages, take the car or scooter to Zakynthos at 7 am (€70 return).
