Quiet campsite, lots of trees. We had to search for flat sites. Old and dirty plumbing (dried poop on the wall of the handicap shower).
Nice swimming pool. The town has many wellness facilities, otherwise little to do.
Fresh bread in the morning. Restaurant already closed.
Made an expired impression.

A place with potential
The receptionist probably got up on his left leg on the day of arrival and departure. He wanted to charge us for one night and assigned us the smallest and most sloping pitch. In response to my objection that we might stay longer and have a look at the pitch, he said without raising his head that if... we didn't like the pitch we could change. Our mood was a bit low, so we strangled the caravan onto the pitch and decided to stay just one night. Toilets not heated, outside the building, paper dispenser outside the toilets empty. Lavabos and showers heated but separate. DH. After shaving around the building to the showers. These were not bad in principle, but smelled funny and I had the impression that the cleaning person just put everything under water. In many places, the plaster and paint is also gone. I think the place could be turned into a jewel with little effort. You can take a walk with the dog right around the square and the area would certainly be worth a longer stay

We stayed at the campsite for 2 nights in April 2017. We interrupted our trip here for two days and drove to this campsite spontaneously. That was also good. The reception was very friendly and no problem at all with English. We were allocated a good pitch. Due to the low season, the site was naturally... not fully booked, so the sanitary facilities were perfectly adequate and were kept really clean. We made excursions from here to Clermont-Ferrant and small towns in the surrounding area. Everything was easily accessible. All in all, a good place as a base for other activities in the area.

Nice place
Many tree-shaded pitches. The site was not fully booked in August 2016, but most of the mobile homes were occupied in my opinion. The site itself has been renovated and designed in a western style and equipped with new mobile homes. The showers are modern and spacious, toilets and individual washing... areas are clean. The grass pitches, some with paved lanes, are reasonably level. Traffic can be heard from the adjacent roads, but there are hardly any cars at night, so it is quiet at night. In the high season there is entertainment at the nice pool with loud music in the mornings and afternoons, but even our children didn't like this. The staff, including young vacation workers from the region, were very friendly and we were able to communicate very well in English. We used the campsite as a stopover on the way there and back from Bordeaux for one night each, so we paid straight away when we booked. We would have liked to stay a few days longer.

238 pitches according to plan. Many trees, mainly birch, provide sufficient shade. An ID card was retained on arrival, which was returned on departure after the bill had been paid. English is also spoken at reception, but unfortunately there is no free choice of pitch, the pitches are allocated. The... pitches consist of grass, some with paved lanes and are reasonably level. The traffic from the nearby main road is clearly audible. Toilets without glasses and poorly lit, no electricity for blow-drying hair, but clean and showers are free. WLAN is also free at reception, otherwise €5 on the pitch. There is a motorhome dealer with accessories store right next to the campsite. Small Carrefour 700m away. The center of Chatel-Guyon is about 1200m away.

A superb stopover in an easily accessible, quiet and clean campsite.
We came to the campsite twice this summer. We knew the old one and weren't tempted to come back, but as we drove past we saw the change. The 1st stop during a getaway was promising, so we came back with our family the second time in a mobile home, to everyone's delight, children and parents alike.
