Norna S.September 2024PositivaThe campsite itself and the lake.NegativaSomewhat chaotic, as the course map is being changed and the old course map is still on the website. Some of the pitches are getting much smaller. Mold in the shower in the new sanitary building.Capable of expansionDue to the change in the campsite plan in the middle of the season, it is very chaotic and the pitches are getting smaller as a result.
Almost all campers are accommodated downstairs because of the new sanitary building. The upper sanitary building is very old. As a result, there were waiting times for... showers in the new one, although there are about 20 showers there. Unfortunately there is already mold on the wall in some cabins. The separation between the shower and the "changing area" unfortunately has an edge, and the "changing area" does not have its own drain, so that you cannot draw the water into the shower there (bad planning).
Furthermore, the towel paper and the soap dispenser of the two ! In the morning a cleaner came with a cloth and a spray bottle and used it to clean all the toilets!
In addition, the new house only has three sinks, definitely not enough. (Bad planning).
We also found it disappointing to realize that Odin and Ben were no longer running the site, they had great ideas but were bullied away by the DCC and permanent campers. We did not receive this information on the site.

It's children's time and the restaurant has quiet times! The sandy beach on the lake... is a joke and there were no water sports. Yes, the sanitary building upstairs is old, but everything worked - we've never seen shower curtains hanging into the shower tray like that :-) The lower building will probably not be finished until 2050... In general, the site is getting on in years. It starts with the not very inviting check-in. It's also a bit far from the city center on foot. Although many places were free, the new neighbors were always right next door :-) If this is now a flagship of the DCC.... but there is still a lot to do. Many of our neighbors also didn't know that the groundskeepers from the promotional film have been gone since the end of December 2022. Something has already been done, but now everyone is probably falling asleep again. What a shame! It would be better to take the movie off the website..... Not enough when the place is almost full. The tenant seems overwhelmed and does not seem to know his place.our booked place was much too small and we had to go looking for it ourselves.while we were there our place was given away twice. The restaurant is also not to be recommended, but this is not the fault of the tenant of the site, it is leased to a third party. As a tenant, however, you would have to keep an eye on it. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. The DCC should act as quickly as possible. After all, as the umbrella organization, it is at the top. We also got to know the 2 previous managers of the campsite and feel that we are in much better hands with the current manager, Daniel Schweizer and his team. For the short time he has been manager, he does... his job quite well, is very helpful and tries to please everyone, but: "Pleasing everyone is an art that nobody can do".
To the whiners and complainers about the shower house that needs renovating. They should try awarding trades contracts in our area. You would then realize how difficult it is to get good craftsmen in a reasonable amount of time.
The Landsknecht restaurant on site, with its calm and attentive waiter Markus, offers good home-style cooking by the standards of the area.
But if you expect and need luxury, you'll have to go camping in a Hilton Hotel.
It also bothers us, as we are dog owners, that the supposedly arbitrary decision of the last administration (dog beach) has now been reversed.
However, we understand the situation and hope that the campsite operator and the fishing club will work together to find a better solution.Automatiskt översatt.

There is a separate parking lane in front of the site for check-in. The check-in process was very unbureaucratic and super friendly. The pitches are terraced and mostly well laid out. Unfortunately, only the pitch information on the pitch... does not match the pitch plan (at least in our row at our pitch). The subdivision of the pitches is unfortunately also not recognizable at first glance, as "old" pitch numbers are marked with stones directly on the pitch and "new" pitch numbers are spray-painted on the road. As already described, the numbers do not match. As some pitches have a slight incline, you have to compensate for this. There is a lake right next to the campsite, which is very muddy, but enough for a quick dip. The upper sanitary building is noticeably outdated, hopefully something will be done here in the coming years. Yellow deposits are visible in the showers. The second sanitary building was closed during our stay. There is a small mini market on site where you can order fresh bread rolls the day before and find a small selection of everyday goods. Right next to the reception is a restaurant with a small daily changing menu. We became aware of the campsite through the TV program. On our return journey from Croatia, we only wanted to stay overnight. That turned into 3 nights.
The pitches... are very large. The lake is great for swimming and bathing. The toilet block is large, well laid out and clean. I didn't miss anything.
The only thing we didn't like was that the restaurant is only open at weekends. We were on the campsite from Monday to Thursday. That's why we didn't have the opportunity to visit the restaurant.
The place is worth a visit for those looking for peace and quiet.

This was our third time there and a lot has changed. The welcome is really nice. The pitches are nice. The sanitary building is getting on in years, but very clean. One building is currently being renovated. You can't do everything at once. We've been campers here at SeeSamp Dinkelsbühl since mid-January and are looking forward to every new day here.
We also practically moved in with the two new operators Ben and Ottmar (Beni and Oddi for short).
From the very first day, we were able to admire their creative energy, creativity... and will to move forward.
Always cheerful and with an open ear for the everyday concerns of us campers.
Like us, they recognized the excellent basic substance of the site: Quiet location and yet close to Dinkelsbühl with all the possibilities of a beautiful small town that are worth a visit on google.
We now feel like a generational campsite, as old and young people camp side by side almost everywhere on the site and get on really well together.
Especially for the kids and young people, a lot of work is being done here on leisure activities, although there is already plenty on offer, there is always a new dnak Ben and Ottmar.
We older ones are usually busy fishing. Cycling, biking or swimming are usually enough. Those who want to do more are welcome to do more, for example walking in the adjacent woods and meadows or...
Culinary we are very well positioned since the takeover of our restaurant by the operators. Of course, fresh bread rolls can also be ordered via the new reception.
On the Internet on various platforms such as facebook, google or instagram you can admire our terraced, beautiful campsite with swimming lake and all its leisure activities.
Some of our camper friends have already been here and they all agree: we'd love to come back!
