However, the area behind it, i.e. the actual site, was great!
The sanitary facilities and dishwashing facilities were excellent;

If it fits we will gladly come back !!!Automatiskt översatt. - Peter T.June 2020PositivaPitches with fresh and waste water Very quiet location Not overcrowdedNegativaExisting swimming pool was unusable No proper reception Entrance area rather very repulsiveGood place for activitiesWent to the site with a camper van at the end of June. The entrance area is very off-putting as many of the facilities (bar, autodrome for children, playground, trampoline etc.) are not in use and look very neglected. This does not make a good impression. The pitches behind the main building are really... very nice and spacious. There is electricity, water and waste water for each pitch, which is very pleasant for a motorhome.the pitches are partly shady, partly sunny with a wonderful view of the mountains and extremely quiet.sanitary area in the main house very clean and spacious.it was incomprehensible to me why the swimming pool was not embedded, as announced in the description. It is also very strange that there is no reception where someone is present. You either have to look for someone or make a phone call. W-lan only works near the main house. But the boss and manageress are very friendly. I will certainly come backAutomatiskt översatt.
- Norbert T.June 2019PositivaQuiet location, ideal for cycling, "Drau cycle path" nearby, to Lienz only 2 km,NegativaNo restaurants and food supply in the immediate vicinityQuiet campsite with beautiful pitchesWe were a little confused on arrival. In the entrance area there was a beer garden that had obviously been closed for some time and no sign of a reception. After asking other campers, we found the solution: In the former inn at the entrance, the door of which says "Closed", you'll find what you're looking... for? We received a friendly welcome and were able to choose a pitch. Behind the main building we were presented with a completely different picture. Beautiful large pitches with a great view of the mountains, a lovely pool area and clean sanitary facilities in the basement of the main building.Automatiskt översatt.
- Dieter G.May 2019PositivaQuiet, clean, well-kept site in a scenic location that can only be recommended for relaxing and unwinding.NegativaNoneQuiet, idyllic, well-kept campsiteIf you are looking for peace and quiet, well-kept and clean sanitary facilities and extremely friendly, careful and helpful managers, this campsite offers the best relaxation and a corresponding feeling of well-being in a beautiful landscape. The well-kept grass pitches with water and drainage connections,... some sunny, some shady, fulfill all wishes. Hikers and cyclists will be fully satisfied, while the nearby town of Lienz offers culture, shopping and strolling.Automatiskt översatt.

- Olaf T.August 2017PositivaLocation.NegativaNone.We were satisfiedIn the app we initially liked another place near Lienz, which was not confirmed at all on site. Fortunately, that's why we ended up here. Pitch, pool, sanitary facilities, everything was fine. Linz within easy walking distance. Bike rental on site, we explored the area on e-bikes... We'll definitely be back again.Automatiskt översatt.
- Annett M.July 2017PositivaGreat location, poolNegativaShower tokensThe best choiceWe were here from July 15 to 21 and can now say in retrospect that it was the best choice. Lienz has three campsites to choose from and judging by the look of the entrance area, this site was at the very back of the list. We looked at all three sites in one day and ultimately decided on Amlach. The site... is located in beautiful natural surroundings on the edge of a very attractive village. Peace, romance and a wonderful view of the mountains make up for the entrance area, which is in need of renovation. The pool and sanitary facilities are very clean and well maintained. As Lienz is not that far away (2km) you have everything your heart desires, great hiking areas, a very beautiful town and also an Eldorado for cyclists. We felt very comfortable here. The pitches are large enough and, above all, level. However, you should equip yourself with carpenter's nails to fix the tent ropes, the ground is really rock-hard and turns many a good hardening into a corkscrew, but you also have to see the advantage of this ground: There's no way you're standing in water in heavy rain. It should also be noted that the light interval in the sanitary facilities was too short. For example, if you need two shower tokens because of long hair, the second one will leave you in the dark at some point. We noted this on our departure and were promised that it would be remedied. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.Automatiskt översatt.
- Rudolf S.September 2016PositivaIdeal location for mountain sports. The campsite management is very accommodating to groups, especially when it comes to booking pitches for groupsAll rightWe were in Amlach from 03 - 11.09.2016 with a group of about 20 people. Basically, the campsite is fine. What was visually disturbing was the entrance area. There were countless empty bottles around the beer garden, which apparently no longer operates, and nothing has changed during the week. The sanitary facilities are fine and clean, but in general the site should be worked on further, otherwise it will become dingy.Automatiskt översatt.
- Jennifer G.September 2016PositivaHiker's paradise Everything without a lot of frills - just authentic!NegativaRed floor mats in the men's shower (hygiene?!) Website urgently needs to be brought up to scratchWonderfully relaxedSmall, well-kept, family-run campsite in the recreational village of Amlach. Anyone looking for peace and quiet will find it here. Idyllic bells ringing from the nearby church and cows on the pasture - every now and then a horse neighs. We were traveling with 2 dogs and got our money's worth in the wonderful... hiking paradise of East Tyrol. Clean sanitary facilities, music in the background, plenty of washing machines and dryers available. You can order fresh bread rolls every day. Daily necessities are available from vending machines on site. Bicycle rental, mini golf, swimming pool and a small bistro are also available on site. We are still on the site, but will definitely be back in the next few years! :-)Automatiskt översatt.
- Robert W.August 2015Positivaquiet, level site, friendly staff/operatorsNegativaPoor connection to public transportationWell located quiet place near LienzQuiet place with a view of the mountains, clean and modern sanitary facilities located in the basement of a villa, hot water shower with coins and a coin-operated machine. There is also a small but nicely designed pool. The operator and staff are very friendly and helpful. The campsite is ideally located... for cycling trips, kayaking on the Drava, hiking and mountain tours. Public transport connections are poor, you should at least have a bike with you. Walking distance to Lienz city center approx. 2 km. The place is definitely suitable for active people. The campsite was still full at the beginning of September. We certainly feel comfortable here and can recommend the campsite.Automatiskt översatt.
- Uwe W.September 2014PositivaQuiet place with a view of the mountainsNegativaThe access road for horse-drawn carriages is a little tricky but easy to drive.Lucky chance hit that you can recommendWe ended up at the Almacher Hof by chance during our trip. The access to the site is a bit narrow. But that's actually the only thing I would have to criticize. A quiet place behind a beautiful house that has seen its best days. The owners are (it looked like) renovating and restoring it. Small beer garden on the square. Riding club directly behind the square. Great starting point for hikes and bike tours. Very nice operators.Automatiskt översatt.

- Dirk E.September 2013PositivaLocation, facilities, cordiality of the operators (staff)NegativaEvery vacation comes to an end.....😉Close to the city and yet quietVery nice and well-kept campsite, close enough to Lienz to enjoy the advantages of the city and far enough in the countryside to enjoy the peace and nature. We were only passing through for one night at the campsite but the overall impression was good. We will definitely be back and for longer.....Automatiskt översatt.
- Kurt R.August 2013it is worth it- has a beautiful location, is a little out of the way, therefore quite quiet. Ideal if you want to explore the area by bike, a little difficult by public transport. It's worth taking a look at this place.Automatiskt översatt.
