Senior pitch, no children allowed!
We stayed at the campsite for one night on our way back from Scotland. The reception was very friendly, we still had free choice of pitch. But we were lucky that we arrived at 2pm. The small site then filled up rapidly. At 6pm the last pitch was occupied and that was at the end of October! The pitches... are gravelled, spacious and level. Each pitch has its own electricity and water column. There are some half-height hedges to divide the pitches, otherwise the grass between the pitches is very well maintained. The sanitary facilities are absolutely top-notch, both in terms of cleanliness and equipment. Hot water is included. Wifi is available and free of charge. Satellite reception is also available, at least in the middle of the pitch. There are taller trees at the edge which could prevent reception. There is a 100m long doggy walk for dogs and a dog shower with hot water at the motorhome service station. We paid 29 pounds for two adults, two dogs, caravan and car, electricity included, so not necessarily a bargain, but high quality facilities. So, now the catch: the site is really only for people passing through or for senior citizens. No children allowed! Almost everyone has dogs here, they are allowed. I think that's borderline. Furthermore, there is a discotheque in the neighborhood that you could hear more than clearly all night long (the basses). We were on the pitch from Friday to Saturday. I can't say whether the disco is also open during the week.

Nice place, a bit stuffy
For our transit to Scotland, the place was 12/13.07.2018 ideal, but I would not want to stay there permanently, all facilities and sanitary were top, but it seemed somehow sterile: no children, no life (well, it rained slightly, but still) The place is also in the catchment area of Chester Airport, no too loud "aircraft noise" but occasionally large aircraft in the approach. Price: GBP 30.00 for camper van, 2 ERW and a dog.
