- N S.May 2023PositivaThe pitch is on the mountain. So close to the sun and so beautiful. The view is a dream.NegativaStupid opening hours Of everything. Snack bar Reception Shop Sanitary facilities Various regulations No glass bottle containersNever againWe booked in the pet-free zone and yet people are allowed to walk through there. This means they let their dogs on the pitches. Most of the time they clean it up but everyone knows that something is usually left behind. The next person puts up their tent or children sit inside and play.
Criticism here... of the campsite... Then don't offer a pet-free zone if this hasn't been clarified. Because then I wouldn't have booked.
Snack bar and restaurant closes at 8pm. We are out and about during the day and sometimes come back a little later. We had no opportunity to get something to eat. The smug smile of the waiter with the sentence: "The restaurant is now closed!" seemed to really please him. You can close the restaurant, but it would make sense to keep the snack bar open.
Reception has opening hours like a secretary of state... never available.
Partly closed at 2 pm.
Very annoying.
The same applies to the store. 12-14 o'clock lunch break. Closed at 5 pm. So we can't get in because we're not on the pitch at 5pm.
Conclusion: everything is always closed!
The San2 toilet block is really brilliant
The male exits are directly at the sinks if you stand stupidly you get the door in the back. The same with the ladies, they walk past with the chemical toilets.
Even better, the sinks inside are a bit awkward so people go to the sinks to wash their hands. I find that disgusting.
And camping with kids....
Mini golf expensive.
Every time the child wants to play, they charge 6 euros.
Other places are more modern. They ask for a deposit and give it back.
There are no clear rules for disposing of service water on the pitches.
Into the chemicals? In the toilet? Into the sink? Into nature?
We think it's disgusting to put it in chemicals - our container will never go in there.
The serpentine driveway is well developed but may not suit everyone.
We're not coming back.Automatiskt översatt. - Christian S.September 2022PositivaLocation, swimming pool, children's playgroundNegativaSanitaryShort vacationWe spontaneously took a short two-night vacation and were actually very satisfied. The only thing to criticize is the condition of the sanitary facilities. They urgently need to be renovated or modernized. Otherwise everything was very good.Automatiskt översatt.
- Hans K.August 2020PositivaWoodlogdeNegativaNo WLAN in the cottageVacation with grandchildren!Lovely summer vacation with grandchildren 8 + 13 years!
We were in a Woodlogde, there was all the luxury you need for an outdoor vacation. It was just great. We spent all our days outside. A large sun canopy provided plenty of protection from the sun. After the corona pandemic easing, we followed the... Landal Park guidelines with their Corona Control Ordinance. This made us feel safe outdoors and we were even able to enjoy our sports and leisure activities in the swimming pool. It is unfortunate that Wi-Fi is not standard in the vacation homes these days. One sleepless night was caused by a loud party in the nearby forest "Beim Kreuz" that lasted until 5:00 in the morning. Landal Park should defend itself against such excesses.Automatiskt översatt. - Gabriele W.June 2020Positiva- quiet location - beautiful viewNegativanoneShort vacation above the SaarWe spent three lovely days with our motorhome at the campsite on the Warsberg. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities and the swimming pool were closed due to the corona restrictions. However, the supply and disposal facilities for motorhomes were very tidy and in good condition, so we still had a very... nice vacation. The small supermarket on the site is clean and well stocked. We had a pitch with a very nice view.
The Saar is great for cycling and there are beautiful and well-signposted hiking trails in the area. The waterfall in Saarburg and the castle are well worth a visit.Automatiskt översatt. - Manuel M.June 2019PositivaGreat for children. Indoor swimming pool also for bad weatherNegativaNoneNice short vacationWe were guests in Saarburg for 3 nights. Booked the place spontaneously and didn't regret a second. Our children could always be found in the playground with bouncy castle, slides and huge sandpit. The indoor swimming pool is also good, as you are independent of the weather. The staff are very friendly... and helpful. They help you immediately with any requests. You can get everything you need in the store and the prices are reasonable for a campsite. The restaurant and the adjoining snack bar are good, but sometimes a bit expensive and sometimes illogical. At the snack bar you can get a hamburger with large fries and 0.5 Coke for just under €6. A solo pizza costs €9. Anyway... The sanitary facilities are consistently clean and of a normal standard. Leisure facilities are also available. Bicycles and children's vehicles can be hired on the site. There is entertainment and special areas for children. With the Landal App you are always up to date on what is going on during the day or you can book a table in the restaurant, for example. 800m from the campsite there is a summer toboggan run and a chairlift to Saarburg. There is also a lot to discover in Saarburg. A city tour, a boat trip on the Saar, the old castle, the waterfall in the old town, etc. We liked it very much and we will be back...Automatiskt översatt.
- Frank H.May 2019PositivaFriendliness, cleanliness, swimming pool. Good price-performance ratioNegativaNoneBeautiful and friendly csmping placeWe were there over a long weekend, were very satisfied and received a very friendly welcome. All in all very nice and good campsite, had a lot of fun. Sanitary facilities were clean and nice. There is also a summer toboggan run and a chairlift that goes to Saarburg. The children loved the swimming pool and thought it was great. Very very friendly staff, thank you very much had a nice stay.Automatiskt översatt.
- Christiane r.April 2019NegativaOverpriced, very unkempt sanitary facilities.Beautifully situated campsiteThe sanitary facilities are very unclean although the campsite is well occupied, not all sanitary buildings are open and there are long distances to the sanitary facilities. Also the indoor swimming pool on the site is nicely designed but here too the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. We had opted... for a comfort and pitch but apart from a water pipe directly at our pitch and the size there was no comfort the price for the pitch was therefore more than overpriced.Automatiskt översatt.

- Ulf M.October 2018PositivaLocationNegativaquite long distances to the water pointsGreat location, beautiful area!We were pleasantly surprised by this vacation resort: the camping area is separate from the vacation homes and most of the pitches are in a very beautiful location. Some of them have a great view, as the site is on a hilltop. The swimming pool is great, as is the playground. There are many attractive excursions in the area. Sanitary facilities are clean. No luxury, but well equipped.Automatiskt översatt.
- Jörg S.April 2018PositivaVery nice location, great playgrounds and sports fields, large pitchesNegativavery expensive W-LAN (12.50/day), cleaning times in the sani, long distances to the water supplyOn the mountainWe were with 2 adults, 2 children (11 & 9 years) and a WoWa with awning from 28.04.2018 to 01.05.2018 on the campsite "Landal Warsberg". We paid € 28.25 including showers as pitch rent (W-LAN subject to charge). Reservations against prepayment are now obligatory with the large park chains. If you come... from the right side, the site is well signposted. The site is located on the Warsberg and can be reached via a winding road. Some pitches have a wonderful view of the landscape. The rental accommodation is spread across the campsite, while the vacation homes are located in a separate area. Access to the site is secured by a chip-controlled barrier. The pitches are very spacious and in some cases are only divided up by the signs with the pitch numbers. There are electricity connections at every pitch, but water points are few and far between. In the center of the site is the swimming pool and a restaurant, as well as a large playground with an adjacent mini-zoo. The store on site is not over-equipped, we missed some fresh fruit/vegetables. Of course, there are other playgrounds and sports fields on the site, so nothing is left to be desired. We didn't try out the entertainment at the Bollo Club. The sanitary blocks sometimes have very narrow access, but the numerous shower cubicles are very large and equipped with shelves. There are also many washing cubicles. A central launderette and industrial dishwashers round off the facilities. Various hiking trails border the site. We visited the town of Saarburg and Luxembourg to fill up with gas. There are many excursion possibilities for a longer stay. After a hike into the town, you can take the chairlift back down again for a fee. You can buy everything you need nearby.Automatiskt översatt.

- Alex S.June 2017PositivaFamily-friendly, great location, swimming poolNegativasloping parking spacesIdeal place for familiesA beautifully situated large site above Saarburg. The small indoor swimming pool, for which every guest receives a key, makes it an ideal place for families with children. The rest of the facilities are also, typically Dutch, geared towards children. The rental properties also look very inviting. Depending... on where you have a rental property, a bicycle or similar is not a bad idea, as the site is very spacious. The only drawback is that some of the pitches are very sloping, some had their supports upright and had to put something underneath them.Automatiskt översatt.
- Vera L.June 2017PositivaEverything topNegativaThe approach: serpentine road over 3.5 km with a 12% gradient. Adventurous. I almost died 😂Great campsite with reasonable pricesThe campsite is very well maintained and well organized from A to Z. Everything is included in the price except food and drink, but you can book this in addition. A trip to Luxembourg is worth it if you want to get cheap coffee, cigarettes, medicines and gasoline (20 km).Automatiskt översatt.
- Julia F.May 2017PositivaIndoor swimming pool, children's playgroundsNegativaSome pitches slightly sloping. Partly further away from the wash house.Well organized place, great with childrenBeautifully situated pitch at the top of the hill. Pitches partly sloping, without water/waste water, only electricity. The way to the wash house is sometimes very long. For example, I was alone with my boys on pitch 319 and it took me 5 minutes to get to the toilet and back. It's just not that easy... when you're traveling alone with kids and have to go to the toilet at night. You don't want to leave the children alone for that long. The sanitary facilities were fine. You can only wash dishes outdoors, which was no problem with the great water. The indoor pool was great for the kids. And the great children's playground with mud area was also very popular. Unfortunately not much shade during the day. The cable car into the valley to the town is nice and the price is also okay. Hike to the bird of prey park about 2.5 km down into the valley. We were told at reception that it was only about 1 km. We walked there anyway, but for the way back we chose the path to Saarburg (another 2.5 km, but slightly downhill) and took the cable car back up the mountain. This way it was also doable for a 3-year-old. Children's entertainment and T-shirt painting was also offered, unfortunately the crayons were all empty and so the painting offer was not very satisfying for the kids and that for 5€ per T-shirt.Automatiskt översatt.
- Melanie M.October 2016PositivaThe town of Saarburg can be reached without a car.NegativaSome pitches are totally sloping (meadow sloping), so a lot has to be balanced.Great camping park with lots of leisure activitiesThis camping park is situated on a high level and you can reach the town of Saarburg directly via a chairlift, so you can take a leisurely stroll through this beautiful little town, and for the children there is an indoor swimming pool, a small zoo and lots of play facilities. There is also a toboggan run within walking distance and we really enjoyed it as a family.Automatiskt översatt.
- Edgar M.October 2016Positivavery quiet, beautifully situatedNegativaPitches partly very slopingBeautifully situated square above the cityVery friendly reception. Pitches are large but partly sloping, sanitary facilities are good and were always clean. The indoor pool is also very nice and the chairlift to the village is good, you can also transport your bike with it to make beautiful bike tours in the Saar valley. We will be back.Automatiskt översatt.
- Dominik A.September 2016PositivaLeisure activities for children, hiking, mountain bikingNegativaGastronomy bad, depending on the place windy, steep mountainAutumn testWe were on the pitch with 2 children under 6 and with the parents-in-law. The campsite is situated on a mountain, with a bit of a view depending on the pitch. There is a cable car to just outside the resort which saves you the steep hill. The site offers good leisure activities for children and teenagers:... basketball court, soccer pitch (small artificial turf pitch), tennis courts, nice indoor pool, mini golf, large outdoor playground and a petting zoo. Service, if anyone feels responsible at all, is inadequate. Food probably from the magic bag. The rolls from the supermarket were fortunately great and at least saved the morning.Automatiskt översatt.
- Günter V.September 2016PositivaNice quiet location and good facilitiesNegativanoneBeautifully situated place above the vineyards and the cityWe have visited the site several times as we really like the location and facilities. Pitches are large but partly sloping, which can cause problems when aligning motorhomes. Sanitary facilities are good and always clean. The indoor pool is also very nice. The chairlift connection to the village is good,... you can even use it to transport your bike to go on nice bike tours in the Saar valley. There is also a summer toboggan run at the cable car station. The price-performance ratio is very good in the early and late season with the ACSI camping card.Automatiskt översatt.
- Holger R.May 2016PositivaSwimming pool on site, large supermarket, beautiful location, many excursion routes, nice playgroundNegativaSanitary facilities too small, water disposal (gray water + toilet)Beautifully situated place with sanitary weaknessesWe stayed at the campsite over Whitsun. After a somewhat adventurous journey for us over small, narrow villages and roads with the caravan, we parked our caravan in a quiet location thanks to our reservation and set everything up. Despite the rather bad weather, the site was very busy at the time and... very much in Dutch hands. The pitches are generously sized and in our row were laid out with little to no slope. Thanks to the proximity to the adjacent forest, our dog also felt very comfortable, as he was spared the walk through the other dogs. A small note to one or two dog owners: Dogs must be kept on a lead on campsites, which is why it is written in the campsite rules. Even if your dog doesn't do anything, ours unfortunately becomes very poisonous when another male dog comes near him! Just stick to the rules, then perhaps visitors without dogs will be more accepting! You can go on great excursions from the campsite: Take the cable car down into the valley, summer toboggan run, boat trip on the Saar, wineries, etc. We can recommend the Schnitzelhaus, very tasty food and the staff are super nice. Now to the biggest drawback from my point of view: the sanitary facilities There are 5 toilets for the "left" part of the campsite, which meant that I had to queue in the morning as a man of 8, which is not necessarily a great feeling when there is a bit of a "squeeze". This also caused a lot of resentment among the other men. After I went through this spectacle for two days, our camping toilet was converted from an emergency solution to a standard one. This immediately brought the next problem to light: emptying the camping toilet is no fun in itself, but if the room doesn't have a window or at least ventilation, then it becomes borderline. We had about 14 degrees, I don't want to imagine that at 30 degrees. You could leave the door open, but it has a closing mechanism and the sinks are right in front of the door... I think the "dishwashers" would be right to complain. Another point of criticism is the payment in advance for the entire booking period. We are not familiar with this from the places we have visited so far. I have no objection to a reservation fee that is then charged, but having to pay immediately in advance when making a reservation makes my camper's heart bleed - but maybe I'm just a bit sensitive here or just don't know any other way. Conclusion: Overall, we spent a nice week on the site with a few restrictions. The swimming pool at the campsite made up for a lot and our 7-year-old daughter didn't get bored either.Automatiskt översatt.
