"No control - Super nice location. Pure nature and beautiful lake that invites you to swim. A small "corner store" is missing...

"4 stars not justified!!! - Waste garbage cans not within reach Focus is on day and weekend campers. Some behave like Stone Age people..... If you express your displeasure as a long-term camper, you are told to quit if you don't like it. The management is not open to criticism! What a pity!

"Fortunately quiet - We were there on the first weekend after the Easter holidays in 2022 and had reserved a pitch on the C meadow in advance. However, the reservation wasn't even necessary as the whole site was still in hibernation and there were hardly any tourist campers there. So we shared the entire C-meadow with only 4 other campers, the rest remained empty. Most of the time it was quiet, but there were a lot of permanent campers on site who were getting their pitches ready for the camping season and therefore made a lot of noise during the lunch break by mowing the lawn, trimming hedges and shredding branches. However, it was quiet in the evening and at night. There is electricity and water all over the meadow, but it is better to have a longer cable reel with you. The meadow is quite flat and the grass was mowed quite short. There is a modern wash house right next to the C meadow. There was enough toilet paper and there was none missing as described in other reviews here. The wash house was also clean. However, there were only 4 shower cubicles for the men. This could lead to waiting times in high season when the meadow is fully occupied and the permanent campers are also on site. At least the showers work without shower coins or chip cards. Otherwise, there was surprisingly nothing going on on the site. The "Wildkehlchen" restaurant was therefore still closed (although it was open on their Facebook page) and the bread roll service was not yet available. However, you should be prepared for a long walk if you want to walk from the C-Wiese to the reception in the morning to get bread rolls and back.

"Never again!!! Great location, nothing made of it...shame.... - Outdated, unkempt sanitary building (really disgusting conditions). In Corona times only one cleaning per week! Unfriendly, destructive staff. Unkempt place, very loveless. Kiosk with "daily fresh bread rolls" finally opened after 5 days. All you get to hear from reception is: "But it's supposed to be open" Without exaggerating, the worst vacation of our lives. This place is pure mass processing.

"Not recommended - The campsite is organized like a parking garage. There is a barrier system with the possibility of one exit/entry per day. Otherwise the barrier does not open. On the day of departure, you can only pack your tent wet/damp, as you have to leave the site at 11.00 am. If you are not at the barrier on time, you will be charged a full overnight fee shortly after 11.00 a.m., which must then be paid at the automatic pay station. This is clearly stated on the bill, which can certainly be interpreted as a threat. You can no longer use the beautiful beach on the day of departure, as you can't even find a parking space on the campsite's forecourt after check-out, as no parking signs have been put up everywhere. Electricity is automatically charged as a flat rate, even if you don't need electricity. Not recommended for a weekend trip, as it is not possible to relax on this site on a Sunday, just get up early, have a quick breakfast and pack up frantically. Here you have to pay. Why do you have to leave the campsite so early? No new camper arrives at 11.00 a.m.! If you could leave the campsite at 1.00 or 2.00 pm, you would have time to pack up in peace. "Never again - I know that Corona has caused a lot of confusion. But that doesn't excuse the conditions here. There are far too few showers and toilets, which are dirty to boot. Cleaning should be stepped up right now, but no way! The garbage cans on the beach are only emptied pro forma. That stinks and attracts wasps. The beach itself is great and swimming in the lake is also fantastic. But as the beach is small, there is no minimum distance. This is partly due to the day visitors who only come here to swim. Incidentally, we have a premium pitch, which costs 4 euros extra per day. Premium means here: No view of the lake No water connection No waste water but the noise from the beach I somehow imagined it differently. Fishing is also very difficult here. It's forbidden wherever guests are swimming. So the only option is fishing from a boat. But only in certain areas and the boat must have an anchor. However, there was never any mention of these restrictions when I asked by phone. Fortunately, the much-described lakeside pavilion was closed. So we were spared the pop music. But unfortunately the kiosk was also closed. Well, tough luck. Conclusion: Despite the beautiful nature, we won't be vacationing here again.

Attractive experiences for active pursuits are guaranteed, as various water sports, swimming, hiking, cycling on land and water, miniature golf or fishing are sure to keep you busy. Anglers will find wonderful spots at Salem Lake and the kids can really let off steam in our playground. We offer free Wi-Fi in the reception area. Great paths through forests, meadows and blossoming rape fields invite you to bike tours, walks or hikes. So quickly pack your picnic basket and off you go. "Wildkehlchen" We have rebuilt the old lakeside pavilion into a new bistro, the Wildkehlchen. You'll find us at the Salemer See nature campsite, right by the lakeside pitches. Freshly brewed coffee, juices, bread and rolls for sale in our shop - with our own recipes from our Kehlchen bakery. Above the Salem Lake, between the miniature golf and the playground, lies our sunny Alexanderwiese. The pitches on the meadow are not parcelled out, so you can choose a nice spot for yourself. Our Alexander meadow, also called A-meadow, has various electricity boxes, as well as water tapping points. Families will find our large playground directly nearby, as well as a short walk down the stairs to Salem Lake. Next to the playground is our large wash house. You can park your cars in front of the entrance to the Alexanderwiese.
