However, the second chance was also a failure!
Dirty & old sanitary facilities.
Permanent construction sites ... which still exist after two years (danger for children).
The reception staff... is clearly changeable friendly ... or not.
The swimming pool has unrealistic opening hours.
We were desperately looking for the 5 stars!

There is a restaurant and a snack bar on the campsite (we didn't use it).
The supermarket offers a good selection of baked goods and groceries.
The nearest shop is approx. 2.5 km away.
We did not use the swimming pool.
We had a pitch with private sanitary facilities.... This is very small and simple. The pitch is equipped with electricity, water and waste water.
With 80 square meters it is quite narrow. The rule is that all vehicles must be parked crosswise. This meant that the neighbor's drawbar was so close that we could barely get the back doors of our van open.
The direct lakeside location with sandy beach is very nice. However, the beach is extremely dirty with duck droppings.
There is a surf SUP rental shop and school on the beach.
The surrounding area is very beautiful and quiet. Numerous bike tours are possible.

The pitches are great for boating. The site is very spacious and generally quiet, despite the high number of visitors. The site is less suitable for dogs. Dog walking is limited to the grass verges along the paths and there is a general lack of... garbage cans along the campsite. The sanitary facilities have clearly tarnished the actually solid image of the site. It is a large building without partitioned rooms. Various cabins/open corridors provide minimal privacy. Up to this point, everything has been okay, but this construction contributes to the fact that it smells extremely bad all day long. In addition, the brush holders are open at the bottom, so there is always a fragrant puddle of sometimes more, sometimes less recognizable faeces in every cubicle. This should be fixed urgently. Furthermore, it's a joke that you can't adjust the temperature of the showers or the pressure yourself on a 5* pitch. Otherwise, the campsite is probably more recommended for families with children. - Britta M.August 2018PositivaGreat space!NegativaNot for childrenA flop as a family, probably top for water sports fans.Broke off our vacation after only 8 days although 14 were booked and paid for. We were treated quite snippily when we left early!!! The resort is actually quite nice, large and clean and makes a good impression. But for children (10+14 years) nothing at all. The "main beach" maybe 5m wide is separated... from the inlet, the water is not very appealing. Another beach at the rear railing, where it also goes to the nature reserve is a bit bigger and the water is partly better. The indoor pool is small and the slide... oh well. Animation for children only in Dutch, no effort is made to cater for Germans, although they ask where they are from. Luxury pitches with private sanitary facilities were also ridiculous. This room was so cramped that there was hardly any room for two. The pitches are also very cramped overall. Our children were totally disappointed. We had booked a campsite with more "action", but it was a total disaster. I don't think this site deserves 5 stars. For water sports fans, the campsite is certainly nice if you are out and about from morning to evening with just a boat and explore the area. However, you should probably bring your own boat. The rental prices there for a slightly better boat are around €350-500.00 per week plus fuel costs.Automatiskt översatt.

Very extensive grounds, especially as there is only one waste collection point, you can be out and about for a long time here. Dogs!Mixed feelingsThe reception is very friendly and organized. The campsite is very large and there are 4 sanitary buildings. However, these are cleaned by teenagers who are quite annoyed. The site was recently mowed, but only mulched. As a result, there are dry residues all over the lawn. Every camper drags these along... in the morning through the damp grass on their shoes. The sanitary buildings themselves have small washbasins for children, but no separate bathrooms, as is the case at other campsites. The water in the shower is lukewarm, sufficient for us, but certainly not enough for "hot showerers". In addition, there is not a lot of pressure, so if you have long hair, you will certainly need a little longer to get the shampoo out. As we are here over the Whitsun weekend, there are a lot of people here and it can be noisy in the evenings, even after midnight, so it's not necessarily suitable for people looking for peace and quiet. Not suitable for dog owners either, as only one dog is allowed per pitch and there are no opportunities to run around. The swimming pool is a disaster. Freezing cold water, dirty and unhygienic. You are approached if you also soap your arms, as you have to do this in the sanitary building, only your hair is allowed to be washed. At the same time, people walk past you in dirty street shoes. It makes you wonder where priorities are set. The restaurant has been recently renovated and is highly recommended. The staff is quick and fulfills all wishes. The location of the campsite is of course also fantastic, right on the water. Highly recommended for water sports enthusiasts, you can also hire boats and every Sunday in the high season a trip on a sailing boat is offered.Automatiskt översatt.

They are very muddy as they are very low and close to the water. The entire floor in the awning was muddy. The supermarket was already closed for the year. The swimming pool is only open at certain times,... should be noted on the homepage. Due to the constant arrival and departure of the yacht owners at the harbor, it is very restless on the B pitches. It doesn't help if the campers park their cars in the designated parking lot. So not car-free, as we assumed. The price/performance ratio was not right for the period. We can only recommend the site, which is beautifully situated by the water. Overall, it was still very empty at De Kuilart. Our pitch was beautifully situated on the meadow at the far end. For the children there is a small indoor pool with an outdoor slide, a... great playground, a bowling alley and lots of space to run around. You can also hire motorboats and sailing boats or, of course, bring your own boat. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent restaurant, with a beautifully situated terrace. The wash house is functional and was always clean. However, a little cold in the morning when showering. The check-in was very well prepared by the campsite and the campsite staff are very friendly. We liked it very much! The pitches are large and well equipped with electricity, fresh and waste water and TV. It wasn't far from our pitch to a wash house, which was apparently the oldest. However, everything was very clean and well maintained. The toilet paper... problem also seems to have been solved: There was a central roll, but there was also toilet paper again in each individual cubicle. The site is right on the water, ideal for sailors, and we also used the swimming pool a lot and extensively. The restaurant is also to be recommended, especially the terrace with a view of the water! Help was available immediately in case of problems. Under TV reception did not work, but after a long test this was due to our antenna cable. We got a new cable free of charge! Car parked in separate parking lot.were there for 10 days at Easter 2014. An absolutely beautiful place. Well divided into standard, comfort with water/waste water and TV approx. 8 German programs, super comfort with wash house, rental houses or dormitory. Pitches directly on the water or in the middle, no matter, all very large, unfortunately... the pitches on the water are without direct water connection, I observed 2 sanitary houses in the immediate vicinity. Both were clean and were cleaned frequently. All toilets had new toilet brushes. However, you should bring your own toilet paper, there is a central roll by the toilets but it is very inconvenient. Anyone who wants to can fish with a fishing license. A well-stocked supermarket, a restaurant with delicious offers, a fast food restaurant, a free indoor swimming pool and a large playground are often used. Most of the pitches are dry except for small puddles, even after heavy rain. Beautiful little towns in the surrounding area invite you to take a stroll. The site is quite busy (although sometimes quite restless at later times) and benefits from its proximity to the lakes. A great place for sailors, not recommended for small children. In my opinion, the sanitary facilities were the biggest drawback - a central toilet roll for all... toilets, no toilet brushes, poor lighting and cleaning staff in need of improvement (were they students working during the vacations?). Even now in the autumn vacations there is an animation program for the children and you can swim well.
