Super clean wash house and dishwashing facilities Very well organized with supermarket and water connection on site.NegativaNoneSuper nice placeIt was very nice. The place was very clean and the landscape was a dream. All in all, very well maintained and tidy. I would go to this campsite again and again.Automatiskt översatt.
- Dirk F.May 2020PositivaEverything, campsite, service, harbor (also there by boat). Already the 4th yearNegativaI can't say anything bad....Top placeVery friendly staff, everything TOP! We were there by boat over Ascension Day. Despite Corona, everything was very nice. Beach open, pool open, swimming pool open.Automatiskt översatt.
- Joachim K.September 2019PositivaLocated on the Meuse and Leuker Meer, close to the borderNegativaDirty sanitary facilities, no entertainment in German, no meeting places/program for young people, hardly any grass on the pitches, drinking and rowdy groupsNot a 5-star placeBe careful not to make any down payments. Here you have to pay in advance, sometimes months in advance. In spring, no services could be provided by the campsite, swimming pools, playgrounds, sanitary buildings all closed, only a piece of grass in the Corona hotspot was available. Nevertheless, the request... to come, there would be no money back. Even when the campsite was closed for months, no refund or rebooking was possible at first. After tough negotiations, we gritted our teeth and received a partial refund, even garbage fees and tourist tax that had not been incurred were withheld. "They wouldn't value customers who demand something, the waiting list is long enough." Even now, in the fall, only partial reimbursement, although Bergen is a corona hotspot with more than 300 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants. In Germany, the whole district would be locked up. Please don't make a deposit, tell the campsite and go somewhere else. The only way to be customer-friendly here is to withdraw money.
The site is beautifully situated and easily accessible.
With an outdoor pool, indoor pool and seaside pool, there is a lot on offer on paper. The outdoor pool is unheated, the indoor pool is more or less just a rectangular pool and the water in the lido is discolored due to a lack of water exchange and oxygen. Aqua fun climbing costs a steep surcharge.
The children are only entertained in Dutch, even though there are mostly German children. The lawn is no longer being renewed. A gradual restructuring is taking place, away from the campsite and towards the Marina vacation park. Charlets and Marina are constantly being expanded.
Dr Platz is expensive and aims for a price structure like Renesse, without being able to offer a real sea.
The sanitary facilities are often dirty, even in the off-season, and dim lighting in the toilets is apparently intended to soften the visual impact. The site is popular with youth groups and noisy.Automatiskt översatt. - Jens A.July 2019PositivaGreat location, clean sanitary facilities, lake with beachNegativaParking spaces a little further awayGreat place by the lakeGreat campsite on the Leukermeer, with a very shallow beach, even for small children.
Modern sanitary facilities, with pool and children's playground.
Electricity, water and waste water connections available on site.Automatiskt översatt. - Rolf R.July 2019PositivaThe location directly on the waterNegativaMore for the DutchIt's more for the Dutch. The announcements are only in Dutch. Kidsclub also only in Dutch. When money is collected at the entrance from the day guests, no child or adult can get to the store as everything is closed off. Sanitary facilities very nice but toilets very dark and often unclean, dogs are allowed to swim on the children's beach despite signs.Automatiskt översatt.
- Katrin D.June 2019PositivaOn the whole, it's a nice place. Spar has a good offer.NegativaReckless permanent campers. No 5 starsMany permanent campers who invite their guests and do not adhere to the rules. Dogs run free. When we arrived we thought it was bulky waste until we realized that a permanent camper was changing pitches. We had the pile of garbage in front of us for 3 days. Even a comfort pitch is no use.Automatiskt översatt.
- Astrid W.May 2019Cleanliness and maintenance of the facility could be improvedCleanliness and maintenance of the facilities could be improved; sanitary facilities should be cleaned more frequently than just in the morning and evening. No real lawn on the pitches.Automatiskt översatt.
- Petra M.April 2019PositivaThe site is beautifully laid out and has its charm, especially in summer, thanks to its location by the lake.NegativaA small suggestion for improvement. The signposting of the streets with parking space numbers as access roads is unfortunately missing.Beautiful place with harbor and beachThe site is well laid out. Permanent rental accommodation alternates with pitches. Even the seasonal pitches look like normal campers in most cases and are not covered by high hedges and tin huts as on some sites. The site is of course perfect in summer thanks to the lake with its beach, water playground... and harbor with moorings. The reception was very nice and friendly. One drawback was the directions to the pitch. The lady drew the route on the map but as the roads were not signposted it was a bit problematic. The fact that she then also showed us the way via the gravel path between the blocks and not the wide asphalted access road made the situation even more difficult. One wash house has probably been renovated quite recently and is up to date (the one in the middle of the site) but the other is also in good condition. For the fact that we were there at the beginning of April, the site was probably 80 percent full. The supermarket on the site is well stocked. We didn't use the swimming pool. The same applies to the restaurant. If you don't want to stay on the campsite, you can of course go on wonderful bike tours like almost everywhere in the Netherlands. Conclusion: Thumbs up but don't forget to book early. ACSI card acceptedAutomatiskt översatt.
- Jasmin G.August 2018PositivaFrom Mon.-Thurs. was program from 10 o'clock in the Kids Club, great for Dutch children.NegativaEverything in Dutch. Poor cleanliness in the toilets. Cleaning 2× a day is not enough. Showers are used as toilets.Top for Dutch childrenThe facility itself is great for children. And is also well maintained. The program and the announcements are in Dutch. So unfortunately we missed a lot of the program. Party every evening and very loud. Were in Venray 20min. Away. Larger town. Very spacious. Everything torn out of each other. We did... not like it. We parents were bored only camping. Sea - indoor pool - pool. The same thing every day. You don't have many options. The cleanliness of the toilets left a lot to be desired. In the morning at 7:15-8:30 a.m. the showers were completely cleaned. At 18:30-20:00 the same. The guests leave behind a pigsty afterwards. Code residue on glasses and in the toilet. Only possible with Sagrotan. What a pity. The new showers are very nice. It's a pity that some people clean them after Orin and they are not cleaned after use with the squeegee that is there for everyone. Some guests behave like pigs. Sorry can't say otherwise, very disappointed. For us this is not a 5 star place. Will not come back. Make your own experience. The staff are all nice and helpful. But the cleanliness is not good at all.Automatiskt översatt.
- Manfred R.June 2018PositivaPeople with disabilitiesNegativaThere is no !Top !!!Everything was perfect - leisure facilities, it couldn't be better! Everything was very well maintained, whether it was the sanitary facilities or the swimming pool. The friendliness of the staff was excellent. - Markus H.August 2017PositivaClean and a dream for children👍👍👍NegativaNIX😀😀😀😀😀Great place, especially for familiesThe cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and the pitches is top. We were there with 4 small children with a motorboat and had endless fun. A great place for children with an outdoor pool, indoor pool and swimming lake. Adventure playground and much more. There is also a large SPAR market. We will be back.Automatiskt översatt.

- Stefan S.June 2017PositivaVery varied play options for children beautifully situated on the lakeNegativaNot suitable for people looking for peace and quietactually a nice place, but...As many people have already written here, the site is dominated by permanent campers. As a "normal" camper, you are stuffed into a gap somewhere between the permanent campers, on which the neighboring permanent campers have already spread out and have already taken up a good 1/3 of the plot - if you... can call it that. In any case, I couldn't position our 7.4 m mobile home properly. I just struggled in somehow. As mentioned in the headline, the site and lake are in a really beautiful location. There are plenty of playgrounds for children (also in the water). The sanitary facilities are new and quite modern. However, there is a lack of cleanliness. I'm not talking about the dirt that inevitably occurs when half the campsite has been in the shower. No, rather massive deposits/encrustations around the fittings. In Hesse, we call this kind of thing "Knatsch". We were there over Whitsun. The prices are ambitious. I have no problem paying a little more, but then I also expect clean sanitary facilities. The restaurant on site is good. A DJ came on Sunday evening. We were asked to pay and were told to buy coins to order more drinks. Well, we left after paying because we couldn't understand our own words anyway. So we won't be going to this place again.Automatiskt översatt.
- Christian J.April 2017PositivaVery nicely situated;NegativaLong-term and permanent campersA place characterized by German permanent and long-term campersActually a great place but the manner in which they are presented . . . . well. The proximity of the border is clearly noticeable! A German allotment garden colony that doesn't want to be disturbed by short-term campers. This apparently also affects the entertainment program and the opening hours of the localities.Automatiskt översatt.

- Matthias W.July 2016PositivaFamily campsiteNegativaFamily campsiteOn the whole...a beautiful place. I can't confirm the previous comments. The staff were friendly and the site looked well looked after. We had no problems with other campers (especially the seasonal campers mentioned). Everything was there in terms of infrastructure. The kids' club had a wide range of activities and... was bilingual. Loudspeaker announcements a la "the Aqua Park is now open" were made in Dutch and German. On the subject of the wash house: At first glance, two houses are certainly not much. However, I never had to queue or switch to the other house. In my opinion, the wash houses were cleaned twice a day. So it's all good and honestly: if the user behaved like a pig beforehand, it's hardly the site's fault, is it? Damage is rectified immediately (as long as someone reports it - it's always a mystery to me why 5 people walk past a running tap but nobody goes to reception to report it). What surprised me was the fact that there was no hot water in the washing cubicles (is the rest of the world shaving dry now?). I also found the spouts at the sinks strange. Until the bowl is full... For our children (aged 7 and 8), the play and bathing facilities (coupled with 2 weeks of super weather) were a dream. In general, it has to be said that the campsite was mainly occupied by families with children (and fewer teenagers). For my part, I thought it was great and didn't mind the noise. It's just part of the experience and, to be honest, that's why I go camping and don't stay in a hotel. But I can well imagine that you can see it differently.Automatiskt översatt.
- Udo R.July 2016PositivaOwn marina with slipway and jetty for campersNegativaPoor condition of the lawn and relatively small plotNot bad, but ...A lot has already been written about this place. We were there at the beginning of July. On the whole, it's a pleasant site - but I can't quite share the positive comments. 1. for a so-called "Comfortplaats", the allocated pitch is quite small. The car could not be accommodated there but had to be parked... at the entrance 2. the lawn is in a very poor condition for the time of year, even before the start of the main season. You stand directly on the ground = in the dirt 3. there is no separate meadow for tents. Young people with tents and "a certain amount of noise" are placed between all the other campers - this can cause a noise nuisance :-(Automatiskt översatt.
- Susanne D.May 2016DisappointingFacility very clean and well maintained, but compared to last year very disappointing, despite persistently warm weather no water in the pool outside, on the beach the water playgrounds do not work, no demarcation for non-swimmers . Snack bar on the pitch not open every day either,Automatiskt översatt.
- The F.May 2016PositivaGreat infrastructure with store, restaurant, outdoor pool, indoor pool etc. Well-equipped comfort pitches, beautiful lawn Beautiful surroundingsNegativaSanitary facilities ok, but are getting on in years Some "stuffy" seasonal campers with their own rulesTypical Dutch VakantieparkA Vakantiepark like the ones you often find in the Netherlands. If you go to a park like this, you know in advance that there are many seasonal campers who have put a lot of heart and soul into setting up their pitches. It is standard there that the pitches are equipped with a WW, awning and additional... sun canopy. It is also quite normal for seasonal campers who have been on the same pitches for years to know each other very well and sit together. We've been to this site at Whitsun for two years. We always had a pitch between seasonal campers from the Netherlands and Germany. We were always given a friendly welcome. However, the seasonal campers have their own rules in the individual areas (6-8 pitches), e.g. in the area where we stood, they don't like people barbecuing with coal > Comment: We don't want that in our area. So if you find such a place between the seasonal campers, it's very "bourgeois". But there are also areas where there are only vacation campers, where you can also enjoy camping. We no longer have a reservation for Whitsun 2017.Automatiskt översatt.
- Joachim K.May 2016PositivaVaried, spacious, great surroundingsNegativaUse of the plots is unregulatedVery nice, varied and generously laid out CPIt is a large campsite area with a good mix of permanent campers, seasonal campers, tourist campers and chalets. The comfort pitches are very spacious and the infrastructure (fresh and waste water, electricity and TV on the pitch) is good. The location directly on the large lake (Leukermeer) and the... adjacent Reindersmeer is ideal for excursions by bike or on foot. The small motorboat harbor exudes an almost Mediterranean flair. For children and teenagers there is a wide variety of play equipment and activities, including entertainment. For all this, I would prefer 7 stars! Not to my taste is the sometimes oversized use of the pitches by campers for caravan + awning + awning + side tent + bicycle tent. This leads to the pitch becoming muddy during longer periods of standing, which is particularly bad for "subsequent tenants" who only put up awnings or awnings, especially in wet weather. The sanitary facilities are good average, the cleanliness (in my opinion it was only cleaned once a day) acceptable. The food is good, the supermarket has everything you need at very fair prices in my opinion.Automatiskt översatt.
