Kerstin S.July 2024Olumlu yanlarıClose to public transport, cycle path directly opposite, good shopping facilities nearbyOlumsuz yanlarıPlace could be a little cleaner, the prices for washing machine and dryer are wrong in Web (6€ wash without fabric softener, 4€ 15 minutes dry), a little less bread selection.Central, reasonably clean, ok priceThis was our first time at this campsite as the other one had closed. At first we were a bit disappointed with the site (too close to the highway), but then we were positive about the connection to the city center and shopping. The Prater can be reached in 15 minutes, the city center in 30 minutes and... Schönbrunn in 45 minutes (all by bike). Exploring Vienna by bike is simply indescribable. Unfortunately the weather was again so warm that we returned to the campsite early. Despite all in all a good place with possibilities to eat, go out to eat in the immediate vicinity otherwise everything is easy to reach. We would love to come back. I had free choice of pitch and it was nice and big for my VW bus.
As I was in Vienna during the day, I can't say much about the site during the day. The café is open from 8:00 in the morning with delicious coffee and bread rolls for sale. In the evening... there is also hot food for those who are a little hungry. I thought that was good.
I was there by car and motorcycle, which was of course great for getting to the city and surrounding area.

Close to the city center. Easy to reach by bike or public transport. Bread rolls are available in the kiosk in the morning.
Anyone expecting a parceled-out campsite will be disappointed. It is more like a pitch. The pitches are not really big either. There are two sanitary facilities. The front wash house was clean, but the back one was a disaster. One stop and you are already at the subway and can travel into the city center. The trains run very often. I can only recommend this campsite.Olumsuz yanlarıOne disadvantage, but for me that is also the only drawback. The bus only runs every half hour during the week and every 15 minutes at weekends from 8.00 am.City trip to ViennaWe spent three nights there because we wanted to explore Vienna, and you can choose your room before you check in. Afterwards you check in at reception. The employee was very friendly and marked the subway lines on the map that we should take for certain places. WC and showers clean. Small gimmick: the fittings in the shower are installed the wrong way round. Not a problem for us.

Lovely children's playground with slide, swings, backstops, sandpit and play area (what more could you want). Friendly staff, small snack bar on site. Petrol station with store less than 5 minutes' walk away. Price... absolutely fine. We paid €186 for 3 adults and 2 children, 4 nights, caravan with electricity in the low season at the beginning of September.

At the campsite you can hear 24 hours a day the noise of especially the highways nearby. From the campsite it is easy to visit Vienna (by public transport or by bike). Along the Danube you can cycle well. Hikers are better off in the area east of the campground... (Lobau). This is threatened by the extension of the highway around Vienna.
We found the campground expensive, in low season for a tent and two persons almost € 35, - per night.

Although there is very little going on, small tents, for example, are set up in such a way that they block two pitches, but there are also camper vans just standing around and blocking good pitches.... Why is this not checked? The sanitary facilities are not properly cleaned this year, even though there are few campers here. What's really great is the location - but you shouldn't be sensitive to noise, as traffic noise comes from all sides, but that doesn't bother us at all.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

Vienna is bicycle-friendly. The cycle paths from the square are perfect, so that all sights are easily accessible by bike. The site is well maintained. Johann (Hans) G.September 2018Olumlu yanlarıAccess to the cycle path network, close to the old town, subway, New Danube, Danube Island, Danube equalization scandal, Gänsehäufel, Danube oxbow lake, Lobau......Olumsuz yanlarıRestaurant was already closed (low season)neat city camping at the cyclist's paradiseNice spot between the highway and the railroad, cars can always be heard in the background. But it wasn't a problem for us. Restaurant was already closed in September, although about 90% of the pitches were occupied. A good san building right at the entrance. There is another one in the middle of the... site, where you have to go to empty the chemicals. A few shady spots under trees. The "dog beach" is about 100m away on the Danube equalization canal. This is also where the huge network of cycle paths begins. The city of Vienna has spent a lot of money on cyclists and recreationists. After about 1.5km there is a subway station with an elevator to the platform. Several small bridges lead to the Danube Island. There are bridges on the highways for cyclists and pedestrians. You can cycle into the city almost without encountering cars. We were in the Wurstlprater with our bike and dog. On the Danube equalization canal there is a water ski facility with a restaurant about 2 km from the campsite, which serves good Austrian cuisine. Directly below the CP you can buy everything you need in a gas station with a supermarket - including breakfast rolls. The place is highly recommended for all visitors to Vienna, cyclists and dog owners !!!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

The location is very good, you can get to Vienna quickly by subway, but also by bike, very nice along the Danube. In general, it is also worthwhile here for nice bike tours, very good bike paths along the Danube. The noise level is limited for a... city CP, the plots are very long, but unfortunately a bit narrow, when the markers are out you are already hanging on the neighbor. Cleanliness was OK, but the site was only 50% full. Restaurant and store had already closed in September, baked goods around the corner at the gas station. We would go there again for a trip to Vienna.Olumsuz yanlarıSome of the sanitary facilities have the flair of a station toilet, but I didn't expect a designer wellness hotel.typical city campsiteI found the driveway to be generously wide, as there are federal roads that are narrower. I had some concerns after the review below. The pitches are long and narrow, if you want to put up an awning you're almost up against your neighbor. No shade. Sanitary facilities: quite ok for the men, the women... apparently had piglets cluttering up the showers. If the place is so full it should be cleaned more often. And the soap dispenser should be filled up, not just a little. 3 places to wash dishes are not enough. Otherwise there is a lot on offer for tent campers, cooking facilities, fridge, tables. Noise: highway a steady roar, a few freight trains were really loud. But there weren't that many on the road. There were also countless crickets and grasshoppers playing a night concert. The way to the subway goes past the smelly rented toilet block, which is absolutely not the fault of the campsite, but just a little warning ;)Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
