Vacation on the farm
The site is located directly behind the dyke, the access road from Hoorn even leads exactly over this dyke - very interesting and fun. There are several simple but well-kept meadows around a farm - it couldn't be more rural and remote. The sanitary facilities are a self-built building directly adjacent... to the farm's machine hall and are unfortunately unheated. There is also a small recreation room with a kitchen and a handful of groceries on the shelves - just put your money in the till and take what you need - very nice. However, you should stock up on the essentials beforehand, as the selection is rather limited. There is a selection of scooters and Kettcars for children, as well as a small playground. The operators are extremely friendly and everything is handled in an informal and uncomplicated manner. We spontaneously shortened our stay by one night, and without mentioning it we were immediately offered a refund. You can easily cycle to Hoorn or Enkhuizen, and there's not much to do on foot from there anyway. All in all, a well-kept site with very friendly operators, but you have to accept the simplicity.

Beautiful little farmyard
Small campsite located directly on the dyke of the Markermeer (Zuidersee). Meadows right next to a working farm. Great friendly owners and a nice quiet atmosphere. Everything included in the price and totally uncomplicated. Good opportunities to cycle to Hoorn and/or enkhuizen. Bus stop right next to the site. Ideal for children, but also for those seeking peace and quiet. Possibility to stand on three different meadows around the farm.
