Beautiful vacation directly on Lake Garda
We spent a very nice vacation at the Piantelle campsite with four people and a dog in a mobile home. We received a friendly welcome at the registration desk on arrival. We were given a map of the site and some helpful information. The site was clean at all times. The sanitary facilities directly opposite... the mobile home were cleaned every morning and were clean at all times. The location of the campsite right on the water was simply priceless for us. We often visited the restaurant. Here too, the staff were very friendly and the food was good. The prices are fair. There is also a small, well-stocked store on the site where we bought our bread rolls and croissants in the morning. It was a very successful vacation for us and we will be back next year.

This was our 2nd time there. We had booked. On arrival we found the place very dirty, there were a lot of leaves and other garbage on the pitch....not exactly inviting. When we complained to reception, nothing changed, they just looked at us with a frown, it couldn't be. There are enough servants driving... around, they could have done the math, but the main thing is that everything is fine in the upper part of the campsite. That really annoyed us, it costs a bit. The men's sanitary facilities were pissed and dirty......., which makes you wonder what it's like for the people at home? All in all, sobering. The toilet seats should be replaced, some of them were just lying there......2022 it was definitely cleaner.

Beautiful campsite in the best location to relax
Very clean campsite with somewhat dilapidated sanitary facilities that were always cleaned. Pitch XXL very spacious. We will be back.

Very nice place
A very nice campsite. Located directly on the lake, with direct access. The XXL pitches are very large and separated by hedges. Quiet pitches. With fresh water.
We have rarely experienced such friendly staff, from reception to the minimarket to the service staff.
We will definitely be back.

See "Advantages" and "Disadvantages" - everything was perfect for us. Recommendation and we would go there again.

Good walking distance to restaurants and bars. Great service from the staff. All towns on Lake Garda can be easily reached by car.

The sanitary building needs more attention. For the pingelligen, the lighting in the intermediate paths of both XXL places (there are none)
Nice place, but no 4 stars
First the nice and positive things. The staff at the reception, pool and mini market are very friendly and helpful with all questions about the vacation. We had an XXL pitch, really nice and big. On the pitch we first had to clear away used plasters and other things so that we didn't get any stupid ideas.... (Certainly not pleasant for parents with children). Our 25 meter power cable was just enough, we would have liked to have one or two more power columns here. The water connection was strategically placed between two pitches, but the hedge made it somewhat difficult to access. The peace and quiet can be almost eerie. Except for a couple of times an employee on an e-scooter heating over the bollards. It was always quiet here from 20:00. The mini market is enough for breakfast and really small things. But there are plenty of stores all around. The lower pitches are much smaller and the paths are correspondingly narrower, but closer to the water. There are generally no long distances on the site. The sanitary building. Well. The toilet seats are made of the cheapest plastic and in our case they were all broken somewhere. Not very nice. When it comes to the showers, I wonder if they forgot to do anything else. The cubicle is spacious but there is no partition or shelf for clothes. Even worse is the water pressure, if you can call it pressure. The crawling visitors don't make a good impression either. But they were always cleaned. All in all, actually a nice and quiet place, even if I wouldn't want to be there in high season. In the low season it's ok but for the shower house it's too expensive and for my opinion 1 star too much.

Beautiful location by the lake Quiet Friendly staff
Beautifully located super campsite
We spent 14 days at Piantelle with the grandchildren. A super organized campsite that leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The sanitary facilities were clean at all times. The pool area deserves special mention. It is simply great. Dogs are welcome on the campsite. There is a good selection of food in the restaurant. But the pizzas are particularly good. We can only recommend this campsite.

Beautiful place great location
Have been to the place several times, this is recommended especially with a dog. Staff super friendly, great restaurant delicious food, ice cream top. You can take a great walk along the lake. Relaxation and peace. Sanitary facilities always clean.

A partner of the campsite (caravan collection service) caused damage to my caravan. The party responsible for the damage was covered.

The morning after our arrival, there was a mood of departure on the pitch right next to us. There was a knock on the caravan. I assumed that the neighbor might need help, so I went outside to see what was going on. But there was only one man there, tidying up, pretending not to understand me. Obviously... he had bumped into my caravan, but didn't say anything about it. I didn't see any damage to the rear of my caravan, which was facing this side. So I assumed that he had bumped into my caravan but had not caused any damage. Only after the man had driven away did I see that there was a dent on the left wall. I reported this to reception and asked for help. The reception manager was very surprised at first because she "wouldn't trust this guest to do something like that", but promised to contact the guest by email and give him my email address. But only after I had already left the Piantelle campsite did I find out from the Dutch guest that he always travels without a caravan. His caravan has been dismantled by a nearby caravan service for years and is also stored there over the winter. The company is also well known to the campsite operator!!! - The reception manager already knew when the damage was reported that the Dutch guest had nothing to do with the damage, but that it was the caravan service partner. When I then approached the reception manager from home, the professional friendliness quickly disappeared, the conversation was ended quite rudely, but they wanted to discuss the matter again with the campsite management. - I have not received any news to date.

If you like to look out over the lake while having breakfast in the morning, this is the place for you!
We, a young couple with a dog, were at Piantelle in mid-June to acclimatize our newly purchased caravan to the Mediterranean climate. I had booked a pitch directly on the lake by email two months beforehand without knowing exactly what it looked like or whether the pictures on the internet really reflected... reality. Now I know for sure,...YES,...the lakeside pitches look like this and are the highlight of the campsite. Depending on the pitch, they are big enough, but they slope down towards the water. This is of course an advantage when it rains, as no water collects on the pitch, but it is a bit of work to maneuver and align a caravan. But the unobstructed view of the water makes up for everything. The lower sanitary building is new, very nicely decorated and super clean. We didn't visit the campsite's own restaurant at the beginning, for whatever reason, but looked for something nearby. It was only on the second last day that we ate there and were very pleasantly surprised. Whether fish, pizza, meat, very tasty and absolutely okay in terms of price, so that we were there again the next day. Normally we are not fans of entertainment and at first I was a bit uncomfortable when I saw the big stage near the restaurant. But the campsite operators have found a very pleasant balance between children's entertainment and relaxation without the noise of the entertainment. What is going on there is certainly a lot of fun for the little ones, and the older ones are absolutely not annoyed or disturbed by it, regardless of the pitch. It was really very pleasant and a great solution. The site is also very good for dog owners, there are dog waste bag dispensers everywhere and the site is very dog-friendly anyway. Although there are many restrictions for dogs according to the signs on the promenade, nobody was bothered when dogs cooled off in the lake. On the contrary, we always encountered dog-friendly local council employees who had to smile at the sight of a wet, shaking dog. The municipality is very keen to keep the promenade clean and tidy anyway, which can be seen from the good state of maintenance. The staff, be it the chef, the girls at reception, the waitresses in the restaurant or the cleaning ladies, were all super nice and friendly. Anyone who finds fault with this crew should rather look for the fault in themselves. The team there seems to work absolutely perfectly. High praise. Moniga del Garda is a small town that you can easily reach on foot and where there is a small, cozy market on Fridays. For shopping it is best to drive up the road from Piantelle to the main road, turn right at the traffic circle and there you will find a supermarket (Italmarkt) where you can get everything. If you are mobile, there are plenty of things to do around the lake. We also had a motorcycle with us, cornering is great here on the west side and there are wonderful tours into the hinterland. The same goes for hiking, there's plenty to choose from. We only ever saw the upper part of the site when driving through. It looked good there too, but the lower part towards the water is definitely the nicer part. What else is there to report? Nothing really, it was a very nice, relaxing vacation with a perfect view of the lake. Especially in the morning when everything is still asleep and the sun comes out from behind the mountains, you are immediately reminded of the reason why you absolutely wanted a place on the lake. Because it's simply awesome! Unfortunately, there are two small disadvantages... 1: You get a guilty conscience on the very first day because of all the local joggers who run past you on the promenade every day. 2: Due to the location of the pitch, the descent to the lake is very steep and a bit narrow. Not bad at first, but what you drive down you have to drive up again. I think a lot of clutch disks have been sent to their eternal hunting grounds here. You should really be careful when starting up here. Braking bumps when pulling uphill make this effect even worse. But the terrain doesn't offer any more and so you have to come to terms with it. In short, a very nice vacation that cries out for a repeat.

Very friendly staff, great beach, great pool, good restaurant
Highly recommended
We spent 2 weeks at Piantelle and stayed on an XXL pitch that was wonderfully quiet, shady and spacious. The site is small and manageable, we felt comfortable as soon as we checked in, all the staff are very relaxed and friendly. The sanitary facilities in the upper area are not quite as modern as in... the lower area, but mostly clean, depending on the previous user. The beach is wonderful, after a short walk you are already in Moniga at the harbor, water nice and clear and clean, the pool is nicely laid out, free loungers were always available. We liked the restaurant, we tried fish, pizza and meat, it was all very tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, a very nice place that we will certainly visit again.

Very nice place
We, two adults and three kids (14, 15, 17) stayed at this campsite with our two dogs. The site is always well-kept and very clean despite the many dogs. You don't see any footprints anywhere. The only point is the sanitary facilities in the permanent tent/mobile home area. They are slowly getting old.... But still very clean. The new sanitary facilities in the pitch area are top modern and clean. The beach is wonderful and invites you to take long walks. Also a top location for exploring Lake Garda.

Beautiful place
Nice clean campsite below Moniga. Friendly and helpful staff. Pitches in the lower area on terraces with a view of Lake Garda. Pool area was not yet open, but everything was already prepared. Small market on site for breakfast and essentials. Restaurant with great pizza! Sanitary facilities always clean.... Unfortunately there were no individual washing cubicles in the wash houses we used and now the only downside: unfortunately the sanitary facilities cannot be heated and are open!!!!

Happy Easter!
We stayed at the campsite over Easter and really enjoyed it! We had a direct view of the lake from the 3rd row and the entire infrastructure was already in operation! (Pool already in and usable) Top pizzas and extremely friendly staff, both at reception and in the restaurant! Everything was very quiet,... except for a few more Italians over the holidays! The promenade invites you to take a stroll every evening and Moniga del Garda itself is a dreamy little town! The only thing we missed as non-mountain bikers were the cycle paths! The sanitary facilities were clean and the campsite itself was very well maintained! A clear recommendation for those who are not so keen on mass tourism, but want to enjoy peace and relaxation and beautiful weather in a great place at Easter... WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Very nice camping park
Stayed at the campsite until Easter Sunday. Friendliness, helpfulness and conservation were excellent. As always, we enjoyed it very much. We will be back. Best regards from Habichtswald and Kassel

Beautiful campsite
Nice place, clean sanitary facilities, everything you need. Moniga del Garda doesn't have much to offer apart from numerous delicious restaurants. We ate very well everywhere, even on the campsite. You should have a car, but at least an e-bike, as the campsite is on quite a slope and it is very steep uphill to the next shopping opportunity.

Too many and too dense trees. As a result, difficult maneuvering and hardly any television reception.
Quiet place, but too many trees
The site is actually quite nice. However, the advantage of the terraced grading of the pitches is negated by the trees, which are far too dense. The category A pitches, i.e. directly behind the lake pitches, are advertised as having a beautiful view of the lake. However, you can only look into absolutely... dense treetops! It is also extremely difficult to maneuver with motorhomes or larger caravans in the entire old part of the site due to the trees standing far too close together (see also the pictures of the campsite). In addition, television reception with a satellite dish is only possible on very few pitches, as everything is totally overgrown. Apparently, people here have not yet understood that today's campers place less value on complete shade - as they used to with a tent - and want to use their satellite system much more. Before our last stay in June this year, trees were trimmed, but sensibly only in the area of the rental tents! The sanitary facilities could also be better maintained. According to our observations, they were only cleaned once in the morning, and sometimes not very thoroughly. There are no soap dispensers at the hand basins in the toilet area, which has long been standard at most campsites in this category. The retrofitting was announced here some time ago as a comment on a review, but nothing has happened yet. The wash house near the lake has been renovated, but there is no partition in the showers between the wet area and the possibility of hanging up clothes. We were very disappointed with reception this time. The ladies are all friendly, but it seems that only the oldest lady is in charge. Due to their sloppy response to our reservation request, our reservation was not made. However, the blame for this was placed solely on us ("you should have known that!") and they insisted without any understanding. We also received no response to our written complaint to the site manager. This is no way to treat guests! There is free WiFi on the pitch, but only in certain places. With probably little effort, it would be feasible to provide WLAN reception throughout the entire campsite area, which is what today's camping guests expect. The shopping facilities at the campsite are not exactly exhilarating, but there is a large supermarket about 500 m away where you can get everything you need. The restaurant is good average. However, the pizza offer is excellent and the price is quite acceptable! The swimming pool is very nicely laid out. However, it can only really be used in spring after long periods of sunshine as it is not heated. Overall, the place is quite nice. However, you could make much more of it if you could decide to significantly reduce the number of trees in the old part of the site. Due to our annoyance with the reception, we probably won't be going back, although we've liked it quite a lot so far.
