Small, manageable campsite right on the lake
We stopped off at the site and were only there for one night. There wasn't much going on at the beginning of June and we were able to choose our pitch. There is a small, nice bar with reasonable prices. As we were passing through, we had breakfast there. Delicious cappuccino and fresh brioche. Top! The... sanitary facilities are small but adequate and very clean. Disadvantage: There was no toilet paper. This is unfortunate as we were not prepared for this. But it was also the only disadvantage we noticed during our short stay. We didn't go swimming in the lake, but there were surfers out and about.

Camping on Lake Cavazzo
On our way to Croatia, we made a stopover at Lake Cavazzo. Weeks beforehand, I wrote an email to find out whether it would be possible to make a stopover here. A short time later I received confirmation. We arrived at the campsite in the afternoon and were quickly allocated our pitch. Despite the high... season, the pitch itself was barely half full. As it was quite hot with 34 degrees in the shade, we wanted to go swimming in the lake straight away. We were surprised that, despite the midsummer temperatures, everyone was just lying on the beach and no one was in the water. Once we were in the water, we knew why. The water had an estimated temperature of 12 degrees. The site itself is small, but clean and tidy. The sanitary facilities were very clean and not overloaded. The operators were very friendly, but only spoke English as a foreign language. In the evening we looked for the pizzeria described here in the village, but couldn't find it. So we decided to eat on the campsite. When we asked if we could have dinner, we were told that we should have told them as soon as we arrived, but then we got 4 mixed salads and a toast, plus two small waters and a beer, for which we then paid €55. That was a bit steep, but the salads tasted fantastic. Overall a very nice place, but only suitable for a beach vacation if you are very hardened.

Quiet stopover
A nice stop on the way south. Small, beautifully situated! Conveniently located ! Directly on a lake with a panoramic view of the Alps !

good place at the mountain lake , unfortunately a bit remote . next time we will adjust to it . we like the landscape .

The place is beautiful and one can relax. The only huge flaw is the rudeness and total disorganization of the owners, both from an accounting and customer service point of view. To confirm this, at both check in and check out they were unprepared, superficial and not helpful at all. After two calls to... make the reservation at the time of our arrival the same had not been registered; as for the departure for the return we had to stay on hold for an hour because one of the owners, by his own admission, was unable to draw up the final bill, delegating the operation to the colleague not present at the time.

I humbly apologize, but just at that time my daughter's husband who was on the French Riviera passed away. therefore, I had to accompany my daughter suddenly at night and my wife found herself alone.
this is not meant to be an excuse but just a fact.
Let us hope that further mishaps will not come again.

The place is very quiet and sparsely occupied (a total of 5 plots occupied) the family that runs the place is very friendly. There is no store nearby, but during the day you can shop at a sausage stand on the other shore (10 min walk), there is also a pizzeria with great prices with 3,50.- Strartet the... pizza program. Pedal boats are available for 10.- an hour. As a foreigner you are almost alone here and you should be able to speak some Italian. VERY IMPORTANT: when you arrive, be sure to leave from Gemona, NOT Tolmezzo, otherwise there will be stress because of the ascent with the caravan. The lake is beautiful and totally clear, but it has a maximum temperature of 18 degrees. Fishing is certainly also interesting here, you can get the map in Gemona. The san anl. are totally clean but no possibility for disposal of the CampWCs.
