It turned out to be the ideal starting point for our cycle tours along the Traisen.
The center of St. Pölten can be reached by bike in just a few minutes.
The campsite has many permanent campers, but also has plenty... of spacious pitches for short breaks. The staff were super friendly from the reservation inquiry through to processing and made every effort to fulfill our wishes.
The lake right next to it has very good water quality and invites you to jump right in.
The showers and toilets were very clean - the only thing that could be improved was the smell (perhaps airing the room more often).
Conclusion: Super nice weekend at Camping am See.

Quiet location, yet quickly accessible from the highway. Great location for excursions to Vienna and the Wachau, Melk Abbey and Göttweig. Good alternative to the Viennese campsites, by bus... (stops directly in front of the campsite) or by bike in 15 minutes to the main station, in 27 minutes by express train to Vienna main station, from there it is four stops by subway to the city center. Easy to reach via the highway. St. Pölten itself was under reconstruction this summer. The city center was renovated. There are beautiful cycle paths along the tributaries of the Danube. But you can also quickly cycle... to Krems or Melk and explore the Wachau from there. This is worthwhile and easy to do at a good 30 km. Restaurants are not easy to find in St. Pölten if you have somewhat higher expectations. The stalls by the lake close very early in the evening and usually offer the usual burgers and fries.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
