"Camping in the castle grounds - something different - The ambience is really something special. Otherwise the place left a rather unkempt impression. Sanitary not up to date (cold and dark, possibly somehow still under construction) the pool and the sanitary facilities on the site were no longer usable in the 2nd half of September and made a bleak impression, the small pool in the indoor area was overchlorinated. The approach on the narrow winding road without any indication that buses are coming towards you and without any significant alternative route.

"Disappointed - We chose this campsite in April via BestDeal as it promised a pitch for €16 in the selected period (25.08.2015-06.08.2015). We quickly decided to make a reservation, which didn't work via the reservation system as no discounts are offered there and I also don't have a credit card. So far only half as bad, so we called. First I had a gentleman (presumably the boss) on the phone who confirmed that the BestDeal card was valid for the period, I just had to write him an email with my details. No sooner said than done. As confirmation I received an email with a PDF that could not be opened. I then asked what the total price (with discount) would be as the PDF was defective. No response. Even after some time I asked again, no response. So we traveled (with alternative seats in the backhand), I had a reservation confirmation. When we checked in, we were told (by the manager) that the card was never valid in high season and that it was a mistake on the BestDeal website and that I should call them. But that can't be my job. The gentleman at reception told her that it was correct, but she emphatically denied it. The gentleman was silent. We looked at the place anyway. We were then quoted a price: Pitch with 2 people and electricity €31 and if we wanted the car on the pitch another €3.50. In the end, we left and checked in at a Munzipal. Conclusion: The operators at Château Camping La Grange Fort should agree on which discounts apply and when. A friendly welcome looks different. Motto of the CP: Once the customer is there, he stays, even if it is more expensive.

" - Access very narrow. Pitches of various sizes, shaded. The site has a castle in the center. The pool and restaurant are located in its garden. Very charming. Sanitary facilities are ok.

" - Really cozy and romantic. Very narrow access road. We were there in May, the site has only just opened, no restaurant and no bread in the morning. Ideal for passing through, not far from the highway.

Château – Camping La Grange Fort is the place to be for an unforgettable (family) holiday. Whether you prefer camping or the comfort of a furnished tent or chalet, La Grange Fort has something for everyone. Château la Grange Fort …is a 25-hectare estate. The castle is easy to reach, just a 10-minute drive from the motorway, through a varied landscape and along old French villages to your holiday destination. The beautiful location on a small hill offers fantastic, far-reaching views over the Auvergne countryside. The river Allier, which flows along the estate, and our swimming pool provide plenty of water fun. The eastern location in relation to the Massif Central ensures a pleasant microclimate with less rainfall than in the surrounding regions. Nearby is Issoire, a picturesque town with an old town centre and a lively market every Saturday. Clermont-Ferrand is about half an hour's drive away and is a large city full of shops, culture and history. Our campsite is perfectly located between two beautiful parks: the Volcano Park (UNESCO) and the Livradois Park. The campsite is located in the castle park and has beautiful, spacious pitches, many with beautiful views. The campsite is surrounded by forest, ideal for walking the dog. There is a large swimming pool and slides with a cosy terrace. In the old stables, there is a bar and restaurant. There are also many opportunities for relaxation, from tennis to sauna, from wine tasting to swimming, both adults and children will have a great time. We look forward to your visit!
