The customer is not king here.unfriendly, impertinent and not recommendedFor a "family camping trip" with my parents and 4 brothers and their families, I booked pitches and apartments 4 months in advance. This was for 2 nights, which is probably less common in a place that is used more as a transit campsite.
I wasn't told that a wedding would be taking place in the associated... country inn on the Saturday and I didn't receive any information about it later either. The party with a loud band and later even a DJ went on until shortly before 3 in the morning. Thanks for that.
One of my brothers was unable to arrive on Friday due to a train overhead line fault and only arrived on Friday. It was clear that it wouldn't be possible to cancel at such short notice. But the operator's reaction was - to put it mildly - very bratty. There was nothing they could do. Well - it's really not their fault.
But the fact that the two 2-year-old twins and the 2-month-old baby were charged like adults was the last straw. That's just not on. One brother's stay cost 260 euros (4 people incl. final cleaning) and the other 220 euros (3 people incl. final cleaning) - without breakfast, of course.
I don't need to write anything more about this. At this time of year, the pitches on the meadow were very wet, we were able to park on a motorhome pitch and our... car on the next one next to it. The showers and toilets were at the right temperature, which we had experienced quite differently at this time of year. The inn was still closed. Bus stop in front of the campsite, train station with P&R not far away. So you don't need a car to discover Regensburg and the surrounding area. Hartlmühle for an overnight stay. The approach is via a bridge. At the end of the bridge there is a sign for registration, but there is a no stopping zone. The campsite is on the right. It is not mentioned anywhere that you have to drive up to the yard. After registering, you... drive around the courtyard and then enter the campsite through a barrier. When we registered at the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff. She asked us for a deposit of €50.00 when we handed over the barrier chip. We have never experienced this at a campsite before. Previously, €20.00 was the highest. I told her that I didn't have €50.00 in my pocket. She was then satisfied with a DCC camping card after comparing it with my ID card. I've never experienced this on a campsite before. We were able to choose our own pitch on a grassy area, with the advice not to take up too much space. The campsite was also occupied by "traveling people" at this time. We ate there. The price/performance ratio was okay! However, if we had known that the owners let their dogs run free in the restaurant or kitchen (as well as on the campsite) we would not have visited the place. The overnight price of €24.00 for 2 adults with car/caravan and free use of the small but nice swimming pool is fine. Showers were also included. It is a shower room with partitions, but not equipped with curtains etc. We didn't mind. It didn't bother us, but no longer fits in with modern times. There are no pitches. The surrounding area is great for hiking. The pool is great. However, it lacks a little privacy as it is right in front of the terrace of the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is recommendable. Ideally located for excursions to Regensburg... and nearby destinations. Electricity connections are in short supply, so it is advisable to arrive early. The owners are very friendly. Unfortunately, the dogs run freely (without a leash) on the entire campsite, whether large or small, including the owner's dog. The dogs are also not on a lead at the pitch. As soon as a dog comes near another dog, the barking starts.... Some dog owners let their dogs sniff and roam around the camping chairs and tables of other campers without any consideration. The food in the restaurant is reasonably okay, it's not that expensive. Noisy transit campers.Nice place, definitely ideal for travelers passing throughPerhaps I had expected a little too much based on the ratings. The campsite had a very good rating (over four stars) in the "peace and quiet" category. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the case. But maybe I was just unlucky and the rest of the year is quiet. During the three days of my stay,... numerous hedges were trimmed, fences were made, chainsaws were running and roofs were re-roofed with a Bunsen burner. But not only the permanent campers directly adjacent to the tourist campsite were very active. A nap during the afternoon rest was not possible on any day. Either my camper was chosen by children to play tag around it or arriving guests set up two tents with what felt like 100 pegs hammered in during the midday rest. Cars also drove right past the pitch during the midday rest. As already mentioned in other reviews, the site is located on a road. This is obviously used as a "motorcycle race track" on nice days. But the site also has its advantages. The food is really good for a camping restaurant. The staff are friendly! The sanitary facilities were always clean. Werner K.May 2017Olumlu yanlarıExcursions, cycling, hiking, swimming pool, quiet and beautiful location,Olumsuz yanlarıSanitary facilities as describedIf you are looking for peace and quiet and can do without comfort, this is the place for you.Stay from May 14 to 28, 2017 A small and beautifully situated campsite south of Laaber next to the river of the same name, ideal for visiting the beautiful city of Regensburg, Cham, Viechtach, Regen and the beautiful towns such as Kallmünz, Burglengenfeld, Beilngries, Berching, Neustadt i.d. Oberpfalz... etc.. There are also plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling here. The site for tourists is surrounded by permanent campers. The pitches are all on beautiful grass and are very spacious. You can choose your own pitch and position yourself as you wish, taking into account the distance to your neighbors. Fresh water taps and electricity connections are within easy reach, approx. 30-50m away. However, waste water must be wheeled to the lower sanitary building (drain into the gully), where the disposal point for the chemical toilet is also located (furthest distance approx. 200 m). Access to the pitches is also easily possible for larger caravans. New sanitary facilities are located at the top and bottom of the restaurant. The new showers with narrow splash guards are not very large and open. It is incomprehensible that no doors were installed here. As the shower heads are very high and cannot be adjusted, the water splashes into the corridor. In addition, the water runs from the neighboring shower to the other and vice versa because it drains very slowly into the drain. There are no storage facilities here, except in the showers by the window where you can use the window sill as a shelf. There are hooks on the outside for your bath towel or bathrobe. The toilet and washing facilities (2 lockable) were always very clean and almost everything worked perfectly. You can get bread rolls in the kiosk next to the restaurant. You can eat well and inexpensively in the restaurant. There is a swimming pool next to the restaurant, which every camping guest can use free of charge. We really liked the peace and quiet here and the friendly people (permanent campers). Dogs are very welcome here and there is plenty of room to run around right on the edge of the forest. What should be emphasized is the reasonable price of the campsite and the very friendly and helpful staff. We deducted points for the shower facilities because of: the lack of doors in the showers, the lack of shelves and the shower heads that are mounted too high and cannot be adjusted and because the water does not run off properly. The published bus connection in front of the campsite is correct, but unfortunately there is only one bus per day in the morning and only returns in the evening. For us seniors, it is not possible to be on the road for over ten hours without the opportunity... to rest. However, if you are looking for hustle and bustle and entertainment, this is definitely not the place for you!Beautiful campsite in the middle of natureAn idyllic and quiet campsite for relaxing with everything you need. There is even a small pool to cool off on hot days. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are not super modern, but very clean and well maintained. The pitches are very large and partly parceled out,... with an electricity box (with normal Schuko sockets) and water point very close by. The site is ideal for trips to Regensburg and the many other sights in the area. We found the free Wi-Fi, which is even encrypted with WPA2 and very fast, really great and ideal for our purposes. We have never found anything like it anywhere else, others charge a lot for it! Incidentally, we didn't notice the much-criticized rumbling of the wooden plank bridge at all. You don't have to take the first pitch next to the bridge, there are many further back. And the small road running past the pitch didn't bother us at all. Only 3 WCs. That is no longer up to date. The place is nice but that's about it. On entering, the ashtrays are hastily cleared from the tables and the smokers leave... the restaurant grumbling in the direction of the garden restaurant. The menu is quite limited, which in hindsight was a good thing. Chunky onion ends in the salad, dirty fingernails of the waitress, food like from a kiosk. Too bad.
