"Beautiful location for those seeking peace and quiet - We were on the site at the beginning of September (end of the French school vacations). At that time it was only about a third full and therefore very quiet. The campsite is terraced. There are nice large pitches, which are divided by high hedges. You have a beautiful view of the lake from most of the pitches. In the off-season, the camping store was no longer in operation, but bread was available in the morning if ordered in advance. In about 5 minutes you can reach a beautiful beach for swimming with a special area for small children. The small town can be reached on foot in about 35 minutes. It has all the necessary stores and once a week there is a small market. The countryside around Villefort is very beautiful and the campsite is a good starting point for hikes. There are not many places to go out. The only point of criticism is the hygiene in the sanitary facilities. We were allowed to observe how toilets, washbasins and sinks were "cleaned" with the same cloth in this order...

We look forward to welcoming you to Lozère, our oasis of calm in the heart of nature. In the shade of the chestnut trees, on your terrace overlooking the pine forest or the lake, your stay promises to be extraordinary. …The Lac de Villefort campsite is nestled on a hillside and offers high-quality facilities in a protected environment. The campsite's most attractive feature is undoubtedly the magnificent view of the lake. The campsite pitches are not overly large (85-100 m²) and most are in the shade. This is a great place to relax. All pitches overlook Lake Villefort. You can also book a mobile home, a bivouac tent or a wooden cabin. Take a dip in the pool and then in the beautiful Lake Villefort. Camping Lac de Villefort is right on the shore. The rectangular swimming pool is ideal for swimming laps. There is also a children's pool for our younger guests. Sporty campers also get their money's worth at Camping Lac de Villefort. There are various cycling and hiking trails from the campsite. And almost all water sports are allowed on the lake. At the Lac de Villefort campsite, there is a table tennis table, an outdoor fitness area and a pétanque court for sporty and relaxed moments for everyone. Children can also have fun in one of the playgrounds. You don't always have to cook for yourself at the Lac de Villefort campsite. You can order meals from a local caterer. There are also fresh bread rolls every morning and a small shop on the campsite where you can buy some everyday products.
