Quiet, ageing campsite
Quiet campsite (September). Absolutely ok for a few nights.
The toilets and showers are old

quietness in low season and nearby beach

It's become expensive, there are 4-star hotels on the island for the same price and less, and the bathrooms are dirty and untidy, which sucks.
what a pity
In 2 years + 31% (14 € in 2016, 16 € in 2017 and 18.5 in 2018) without any work being done. The old sanitary facilities need to be treated for fungus, and the white wall tiles are filthy year after year. The new managers are not really businessmen. In short, the location of this campsite is exceptional. I've been coming here 3 times a year for several years now, and at the end of June I change location, but I'm still on the island.

Great location, very cheap, very friendly, very French

Very old sanitary buildings. One new in 2013.
A simple camp run with heart and Dutch roots. Super location in the pine forest. One of the 4 sanitary buildings is new, the other three very simple but reasonably clean even in high season. The beach can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. Location to the mainland. Little wind, few waves and very warm.... Connected to an extensive network of cycle paths. Bread rolls... must be ordered. But it works perfectly. Were there for 16 days, if you want to relax it's the right place. Place is free of animation and blah blah blah. Children's playground available and large.

A fairly typical Municipal camping, good prices but the facilities can be a bit hit and miss. This site is in a lovely wooded location, surrounded by pine forests and a 500m walk takes you to the beach and a view of Fort Boyard. The wash blocks could do with cleaning and modernising but they are functional.... Although they are no shops or bars on site, the town of Boyardville is about 15 minutes walk and offers a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities.
