Is the campsite full? What does it matter, they keep letting in customers, who, poor people, have to invent everything to get settled somehow. What does it matter anyway, they paid in advance,... plus the membership card, which only serves to take an extra 15 euros per person off you. Having found a decent free place, in the 'hot' months which is not easy, you somehow settle down in pitches delimited solely by how nature has decided. My companion and I found a pretty good spot, and were almost amazed at our luck. Then talking to neighbors we found out that the place had been desperately abandoned by another customer who was fed up with sleepless nights. That's right because disco from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. certainly doesn't conducive to a good night's rest. If you then happen across a jumble of rude people, who strong of being in a group allow themselves all kinds of disturbances both during the day and night until 5:30 a.m., such as blaring stereos, boisterous laughter, etc., then you have to go to the disco. All that is left is to go and complain to other customers at the front desk, resulting in receiving many sympathetic words but no action. Privileged friends can do what they want, the others, who have traveled hundreds of miles to be quiet endure! And at what a price! Luckily we found a decent couple to play with, otherwise it's easy to see rows of singles patiently jerking each other off waiting to receive a little service from the 60-year-old nymphomaniac on duty, with her cuck husband directing traffic. Access; 1.3 kms of track, it's difficult to get there by camping, so a 4X4 is better. They forget to mention it on their site. Welcome; Correct but nothing euphoric to welcome you. Pitch; On arrival we were told that we had to... look for the pitch that suited us (so far, no worries, common practice in camping), but it got complicated when we had to find it. The pitches were anarchic, with everyone pitching as they pleased, so we couldn't find anything. Back to reception, who sent us someone to put us between a mobile home and a caravan. 1 m on one side and 2 m on the other. Invoice; 1 night for 4 adults 48eu + 50eu membership card = 98eu. A swindle. The justification "we pay for the setting and the fact that it's naturist and libertine". On the naturist side; Ok everyone is naked. On the libertine side, as I say, we'll come back to that when we're old enough to have great-grandchildren. Very high average age. A oui ! le chemin des coquins avec un chalet bien pourri, faut avoir envie lol. The club with its very young clientele lol. Beach shorts, high black socks, in short, glamour. Beach side: Mountain river bank on pebbles with 30cm of water. Facilities: No network except for the 1.3kms up the mountain. Showers and toilets: nothing extraordinary, similar to a farm campsite. On the plus side: Drinks at the club or beach bar. Conclusion: A naturist/libertine campsite to be avoided unless you're 70 years old, own a 4x4, aren't fussy about services and have a strong wallet. The staff are all smiles and do their utmost to ensure that our stay goes as smoothly as possible. The Libertine side of things is present in the alleys of the campsite,... but it's especially in the evening and at night that the enjoyment of these ladies is heard. The nightclub (free for campers) offers many cuddly corners where sex, voyeurism and dancing intermingle. This is the 3rd year we've had the pleasure of camping in this magical place, with its tall trees protecting us from the sun and the river flowing by our side. In the morning at "La Paillotte", breakfast is spent quietly, with smiles on our faces after a sexy evening of madness the night before. Everything's allowed, nothing's forced. Except that we're not allowed to naughty on the riverbank, out of respect for the families passing by in their canoes. This year's plus: heating and a glass door in the "bathroom". All washrooms have been renovated. A blue light illuminates them at night .........ohhhhhhhh it's beautiful. We also have the option of using the wifi - the telephone doesn't go through, which means we can be cut off from our usual routine, which would break the peace and quiet of the campers. - Didier G.July 2016A beautiful discoveryWe discovered this magnificent place this summer, despite all the negative reviews we'd heard. A space of freedom too rare, no reservation, no delimited location, no telephone network all these elements are in our opinion positive, here the key word is simplicity, we are what we are and we do what we... want as long as we do not harm the other. Admittedly, the average age is fairly old, but no more so than at other libertine campsites (libertinism and naturism seem to be lifestyle choices that make people age well). For our part, we're in our forties, and during these few days we shared some lovely moments with people our own age and in their thirties. Single men are no more inappropriate than elsewhere, and less so than in Cape Town. We were campers, and €24 a night for 2, with access to the club where drinks are reasonably priced, seems to me to be very reasonable. (an evening in a club is often €50 for a couple) We'll be returning to Ran du Chabrier next summer, because it's not a place where you're greeted by a set of rules reminding you that you're not at home, it's a place that everyone can invest as they see fit, and that's precious in our eyes. Eine wunderschöne neue Sanitärblock wurde errichtet (wo es gibt die Algeco gab). Es gibt sogar äussere Duschen! Die Website wurde in 4 Sprachen aktualisiert! Kurz, alles scheint uns tip top für diese Saison. Unsererseits werden wir am Eröffnungwochenende dort sein, und in Juli und August, solange unseres Familienleben es uns ermöglicht. Wir nutzen die Gelegenheit um alle unsere "germanischen" Freunden zu begrüßen. Wir sagen dazu: "Wir sehen uns diesen Sommer für neue Libertinen Abenteuer!"- Greta und Hans ------------------------ Hoi allemaal! Zoals beloofd, is hier het laatste nieuws uit de "Chabrier Ran" die wij kunnen getuigen. We gingen er dit weekend van 14 en 15 maart 2015. Dat is wat wij zeggen: de camping is volledig schoongemaakt. Alles is super schoon. Het elektrische systeem is gerenoveerd. Alle terminals hebben veranderd. Een nieuwe "paillotte" werd herbouwd. De receptie is gerenoveerd: de receptie en de supermarkt deel zijn nu anders. Een prachtige nieuwe sanitaire blok werd gebouwd (waar er de algeco was). Er zijn zelfs douches exterieuses! De website is bijgewerkt worden in 4 talen! Korte, schijnt alles om ons op de top voor dit seizoen. Van onze kant zullen wij er het weekend van de opening en in juli en augustus zo vaak als onze gezinsleven zal toestaan dat het ons. Wij nemen de gelegenheid te zeggen hallo aan al onze Belgische en Nederlandse vrienden.
