- Josep Maria G.August 2023Olumlu yanlarıThe location and landscape is exceptional.Olumsuz yanlarıThe whole campsite is on a slope.Exceptional stay and nice place to enter the world of naturism. We are two boys (28 and 23 years old) and a girl (23 years old) young friends who had never had any experience of naturism. Introducing us to this world in this campsite has been ideal. We have experienced it in the most natural and daily way possible. Everyone is very friendly, respectful and the atmosphere... is not invasive at all. At the campsite you can find from adults to couples of adults and families with children and teenagers.
The facilities were very clean and tidy. There is a space to rent dishes outside and several shower areas with hot water. The surroundings of the campsite are also part of the campsite and you can go hiking and swimming in a pool called "Le Paradís" where there is a small pool of natural water. There is also a large swimming pool with clear water and a waterfall from where we were able to fill up on more than one occasion.
During the day people live in their tents or caravans, go to the swimming pool or meet at the campsite bar where you can have dinner or have something to eat or drink. It is also possible to eat lunch and snacks.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Hans W.July 2018Olumlu yanlarıNatureOlumsuz yanlarıAccess roadOne of a kindThe question is whether a listing on this comparative site makes sense for this campground, as it is the only one of its kind. For the campground owner, the answer is certain, as he has not bothered to enter the facilities on this site. The campsite will then be filtered out when the user filters on... amenities. Mas de la Balma does have electricity at the pitches. The access road is a challenge, 1200 meters unpaved with hairpin turns and ditches in the road, dry though when I got there in July. For tent campers the challenge is manageable, but with a caravan you will get down at best. Going back up with trailer does work if you can pull well at low speed, with low gearing or a powerful diesel, but I don't have one. Mark then offers to take your trailer to the asphalt road with the tractor and I took advantage of that. A tip: remember that the plug is not plugged in then. Cover it because it catches dust from the tractor tires. I hadn't thought about it and you really have to figure that sort of thing out for yourself when you're new here. Once we arrived, it turns out to be a campground with nothing wrong with it. They don't advertise themselves as a luxury campsite but what is there is fine and the sanitary facilities are clean, thanks in part to bringing your own toilet paper. The pitches have practically no grass but angular pebbles. An advantage is that when it rains the water is gone in no time. The pool is large, though made of rough concrete, and the constant refreshing from the natural waterfall is a find. There is no fence to prevent young children from just entering. That makes no sense because the rest of the 50 acres is not safe enough for young children either. They just can't be unsupervised and I haven't seen them walking around unsupervised anywhere either. For the kids themselves, the camping should be a great experience. For the parents, it is not very relaxing and the parents have shown that at times. At 20 km (along the shortest road) is Céret, with large supermarkets and the famous museum of modern art. That seems like a cycling distance, but it is a mountain road. Groceries I found only doable by car. But you can order bread from the campground and eat from their kitchen, often festive. There is also a small camp store. For naturists who can get over the objections, Mas de la Balma is still recommended. I came there for naturist hiking through rugged nature and was not disappointed. The vegetation provides more shelter during the walks than I expected. That is nice when the sun is burning, but it made me miss something I do have by the sea, for example: the open and exposed feeling. That is not necessarily important, but it happened to be the experience that once won me over to naturism. Maybe that also stayed out here because there is no horizon to be seen in mountain terrain. The La Balma website has warm stories about the ambiance. They are true, without question, but it is the people who make the ambiance. The people in question are in part those of the campground itself, but in a larger part the visitors and they are not a facility of the campground. Now is this a closed association or an open company? It is something in between and I saw the character change from day to day. The laudatory comments in the guestbook are written by people who feel they are members of the club. This site calls for a more sober and complete review.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

- Thomas F.July 2013Olumlu yanlarıDue to the remote location, the site is very quiet. The groundsman offers a free tractor service for departureOlumsuz yanlarıI have not noticed anyA quiet location in the middle of extensive natureThe site can be reached via smaller D-roads, only the last km is unpaved and somewhat bumpy. Ideal for hikers, whether clothed or not. The paths are well marked. A river course can also be hiked.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
