- Uwe S.July 2019Olumlu yanlarıThe proximity to the excavation and Mount VesuviusOlumsuz yanlarıNo supply at the CPIdeal for visiting PompeiiWe arrived at the campsite by car and tent and were free to choose our pitch. The choice was not difficult. There were plots with large orange trees everywhere where we could set up. The campsite is located behind a parking lot for the excavation site. The traffic there didn't bother us, but we were... disappointed when we wanted a bite to eat in the evening. There is no catering on the campsite. The stores and restaurants around the campsite are only open during the opening hours of Pompeii, so we had to go into town to get something to eat. The next day we walked past the train station to the excavation site. The showers are clean and spacious. We only had cold water for washing up. The Wi-Fi was free. Conclusion: really good for exploring in and around Pompeii, not necessarily suitable for relaxation and recreationOtomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Hans-Joachim K.June 2018Olumlu yanlarıTrain station and bus stop on the doorstepA stone's throw from the excavation site and the bus stop (Vesuvius)The site is suitable for the days when the sights in the surrounding area (Pompeii, Ercolano, Vesuvius) and Naples are visited. Good train connections to Naples and Sorrento. Recommendation for climbing Vesuvius...take the FIRST bus in the morning, after that the paths at the top are full.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Gregor C.May 2018Olumlu yanlarıGood location for many excursions, very helpful and nice staff at the reception.Olumsuz yanlarıThe old toilets, no supermarket on site, narrow pitches with poor access.Ideally located CP for cultural excursionsWe chose the campsite because we wanted to see a few things in the region around Naples. Unfortunately, solfatara on the other side of naples was closed, so we ended up at CP zeus. The campsite is easily accessible from the highway and is right next to the excavations in pompei. The train station is... also right in front of it. The access road takes a bit of getting used to, you have to maneuver in front of the main entrance to pompei between the many tourists, including travelers coming from the train station. However, there is plenty of space directly in front of the entrance at reception. Check-in is very quick and English is spoken. The pitches are rather small and narrow, as are the paths. Watch out for the trees when maneuvering! There is a bar or restaurant right at the exit, there is no store at the parking lot. A large supermarket can be reached on foot in about 10-15 minutes. Although the sanitary facilities are clean, they are old and sometimes look a bit repulsive. Too bad, because otherwise the CP is very nice. You can go directly on foot to pompei to the excavations, take the train to naples or in the other direction to sorrento, from there you can take a bus to other excursions e.g. to amalfi or by boat to capri! There is also a bus to Vesuvius that leaves right outside the CP at the train station. We paid 32 eur per night for 2 adults + 1 teenager. The CP guests come from all over, there are many Dutch, a few Germans and Austrians, but also Brits and French. Conclusion: if you want to see a lot in the region, the campsite is ideal as a starting point for many excursions.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Günther V.September 2017Olumlu yanlarıLocation Check out until 14.00 priceOlumsuz yanlarıDisastrous sanitary facilities Wifi for a feeBeautiful CPActually a very nice campsite. The pitches are rather small and cramped but under orange and olive trees. Right at the entrance to the excavations and the train station. For this location, €20 for a camper van and 2 people is really cheap. However, the sanitary facilities are in a catastrophic state. Whether WC, shower or sink, just disgusting... Fortunately you have everything you need in the Womo.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Friedmann H.June 2017Olumlu yanlarıVisit Pompeii Visit VesuviusOlumsuz yanlarıaccording to no catering wash houseOnly for sightseeingThe campsite is more of a pitch with small plots. The site is actually beautifully landscaped with lots of orange trees. The wash house is adequate. During the day it is busy as there is a parking lot for Pompeii visitors in the front area. Restaurants in the area are very expensive and are based on the opening times of the excavation site - they close at 18:00.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Holiday C.September 2016Mass processingThe site itself is beautiful with the orange trees. But the sanitary facilities are not very appealing: dirty and you have to be lucky to find a shower head or lock on the showers. The staff are incredibly unfriendly and don't really feel like answering questions. We were quoted a price in the evening and the next day they promptly added another 10 euros. Cheeky!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Alfred M.April 2016Olumlu yanlarıPerfect location! Railroad station right next door. Nevertheless quiet! Good sanitary facilities with hot water. Good value for money.Olumsuz yanlarıWLAN available, but costs something. As so often in Italy, no hot water for washing dishes.Best location, good price-performance ratioThe location of the campsite is sensational, the first choice for exploring Naples and the surrounding area. The train station is right next to the campsite, but you can hardly hear the trains. Bus to Vesuvius etc also directly on site. Carrefour shopping center 10 minutes away on foot. Bread/milk etc on site. Good sanitary facilities, free hot showers. Good price-performance ratio.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Christian P.August 2015Olumlu yanlarıProximity to the excavation siteOlumsuz yanlarıSecurity deficit! You are not sure of your property!Security leaves a lot to be desiredYou are more or less locked in at night. You can't get out by car. But all the thieves get in and out, they know the climbing corners. The noticed thief could simply get away. No security staff available! We were robbed during the night and couldn't go to the police because everything was locked. There was no one at the exit or in reception.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Wolfgang S.May 2015Olumlu yanlarıProximity to the excavation sites "unbeatable", price-performance ratio ok due to proximity,Olumsuz yanlarıWe did not use the sanitary facilities during our visit.Italy 2015This place is right next to the excavation sites. In this respect, it was perfect for us, as we only wanted to see the excavation sites. The site is of course very popular due to its location. We have a 7.5 m motorhome, with this length it is just about possible to maneuver into the narrow pitches. Watch... out when maneuvering! The tree cover is also very stable at the height of the motorhome roof edge. There are a lot of people around and, as I heard from neighbors, there is also a high incidence of theft. The noise level didn't bother us too much. It was also ok at night. We'll stay there again if we feel like visiting Pompeii again.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Johann (Hans) G.May 2015Olumlu yanlarıQuick and easy access. Close to the excavations of Pompeii and Ercola, train stationOlumsuz yanlarıloud, narrow, sloppyPlace near one of the entrances to the excavationsThe best and shortest way to visit the excavations. The train station is also right next door, which you can clearly hear. Possibility to take the train to Ercola, Naples, Sorrento. The pitches are damn small and cramped under olive and orange trees. Sanitary facilities a challenge! The site is simply... cramped, noisy and sloppy. The campsite restaurant and the other two simply close late in the afternoon. There are also buses from the campsite to Vesuvius, but unfortunately we couldn't find out anything apart from the departure times because they don't speak any German and hardly any English. You only stay here as long as you absolutely have to.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- E. M.August 2014Olumsuz yanlarıThe gentleman at the reception was very unfriendly!Loud, restless place. The site is located at the entrance to the excavation sites. Unfortunately the pitches are quite small. The sanitary facilities should urgently be renovated and cleaned better, only one shower worked properly, ants were everywhere, good for one night to see the excavations but by no means longer, we had to push our caravan (7.00 m) by hand to our pitch because the paths are VERY narrow.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Ulf D.October 2013the site is right next to the archaeological sites; it is partly used as a parking area for visitors' cars; the railroad and road can always be heard; the sanitary facilities are acceptable and mostly clean; the restaurant is closed in the evening (October);Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Ronald K.October 2013Unbeatably convenient location to the entrance of the excavation site (1 min walk). The site is shady, but noisy due to the adjacent railroad line. In addition, the sanitary facilities were quite dirty and eating outside was a challenge due to a lot of stray dogs.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Florian H.September 2013The site is right at the entrance to the excavation sites, which is the biggest advantage. Unfortunately, the pitches are far too small. - Henning L.October 2012Great starting point for visiting Pompei Museum and Vesuvius. Modest sanitary facilities. Shopping market within walking distance approx. 15 min. Very quiet place. - leo w.September 2012The first impression is that this is a quite reasonable site. The pitches are mostly shady, many are angled, which makes parking easier and saves space, especially with a caravan - the pitches are small but sufficient. The entrance to the excavation site is just a few steps away. During our stay, entry... to the excavations was free on Saturday and Sunday. Opposite the entrance is the train station - about ½ hour to Napoli. The front part of the site is used as a paid parking lot. This means that practically anyone can enter the campsite - I would lock everything up well. The receptionist just does the bare minimum, bordering on unfriendly. The sanitary facilities are cleaned at around 1400 hrs, but are soon no longer completely clean. There are also a lot of ants. Hot water is only available in the shower. No toilet seats, no toilet paper. Street noise, the air was also anything but clean. Just like in the big city. The place is fine for visiting the excavations, but otherwise nothing like leaving.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Bernd P.September 2010Hourly hotel with camping facilities! On the plus side, the campsite is quite reasonably priced by Italian standards. Thanks to its proximity to the ruins of Pompeii and its direct location to the train station, the site is ideal for visiting Pompeii and Naples. The cost of staying overnight in the square... is the same as buying a ticket in the parking lot to visit the ruins. There are some wild dogs running around the site, but they are very friendly and affectionate. Our daughter was thrilled. Apart from that? Unfortunately, there were no amenities. The campsite's own restaurant is never open. We wanted to go there for a drink in the early evening and I was told that the restaurant would be closing in the next few minutes. In fact, there were still people sitting at the tables an hour later. However, dinner was not possible on any day. The pitches are very cramped for today's size of motorhomes and caravans. The sanitary facilities are old, quite run-down and unkempt! The absolute shocker: we wondered why the bungalows only accommodated couples who stayed for a fairly short time. The explanation: the bungalows are rented out by the hour for lovemaking! We saw some of the gentlemen several times during our stay. The cleaning staff were constantly busy cleaning the rooms after the "service". This meant that the campsite's sanitary facilities were very often left behind in terms of cleaning. The toilets were only cleaned on one day when there was less "traffic". Otherwise, there were even queues of couples waiting for free bungalows in front of the entrance barrier... My conclusion: I have experienced a lot, but this use of the bungalows (in the middle of which were also normal vacationers) is the absolute hammer and actually not tolerable! The site is not suitable for a longer stay!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
