Rainer S.August 2024Olumlu yanlarıThe friendly receptionOlumsuz yanlarıThe inappropriate pitch layout, which can probably no longer be changed ...A "camping site" that has fallen out of time!We had deliberately chosen this site for a stopover on our trip to the Rhineland, but we cannot recommend it for that. The pitches are arranged between bungalows (with basements) or weekend houses on sometimes very narrow and uneven surfaces, and the paths to the sanitary facilities are also quite long.... It is almost impossible to maneuver a caravan here without a mover. The site is probably quite old and seems to have been a company holiday camp or something similar in the past. The whole site suggests that.
Now enough of the complaining, the supply is provided by a
"Konsum" kiosk and a campsite restaurant, the somewhat older sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The reception staff are friendly and extremely courteous.
If you want to stay here for a few days to visit Eisenach and the Wartburg, you'll be able to put up with it all, as our Swiss neighbors also said.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

This pitch was a good choice.
We were already at the site at 11:00 and our pitch wasn't free yet. So we went for a quick meal at the campsite restaurant. After 30 minutes we got the call that we could move into our pitch (pitch 30).... So we set up and then it was pure vacation. Everything was clean, there were fresh bread rolls, even on Sundays and it wasn't noisy even on Ascension Day. The permanent campers were friendly and the lake was great for a walk.
There are countless possibilities for activities. Just to name a few: Hike through the Dragon Gorge, visit to Wartburg Castle, bike tour to Creuzburg Castle, sightseeing in Eisenach and Mühlhausen and many more.
Internet was available in 3 networks, TV watching possible with the Cube. WLAN is free in the reception area.

The area is great for excursions (Eisenach, Wartburg etc.) and especially for hiking (Drachenschlucht). We could have spent much more time here.
The campsite is very quiet in the middle of the forest by a lake. It is a bit dated, but everything you need is... there. The sanitary facilities are also clean and tidy. There is a small kiosk with drinks, snacks and fresh bread rolls. We liked the restaurant, very friendly and tasty.

Bathing lake in front of the Naase. Good supply, even if the shop is a bit nostalgic. Restaurant available. We were there between Ascension Day and Pentecost. It was very quiet as there was very little "through traffic". The sanitary facilities... are not the most modern, but everything was always tiptop clean. However, there is no WiFi, which made it difficult for us to plan our routes. The floors are actually very hard, so you had to struggle with the pegs. The CP site is well maintained. The children like to play with the stone figures that stand at intervals along the path. The volleyball net in front of the kiosk, the small football pitch... in the forest and the water games by the water are great fun. The restaurant on site is reasonably priced and offers regional dishes. The site operators are very friendly and helpful. There are few parceled-out pitches, but that doesn't bother you at all. Everyone will find a nice spot. Setting up the tent was a little difficult due to the hard ground, but doable. But then the pleasantness ended. We sat down by the lake so that our children (aged 5 and 8) could jump into the water. My little one was surrounded... and pushed by children of the same age and she got a laceration. My husband wanted to speak to the children's parents, but they were nowhere to be found. Of course, the campsite can't be held responsible for the irresponsibility of the parents, but they didn't help us to find them either. It was noisy there for a very long time, there were obviously always drunks out and about. Sunday morning, it was hot and the children wanted to get an ice cream at the kiosk. There were adults of different ages sitting there and getting drunk, even children in between. We took everything down and looked for another place. A couple explained to us that the permanent campers set the tone there and have a certain amount of freedom. We found it terrifying!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
Rolf K.August 2018Olumlu yanlarıVery good starting point for visits to the Wartburg & EisenachOlumsuz yanlarıSmall pitches on a slope and very hard ground No WiFi and poor mobile networkPlace with proximity to Wartburg Castle and EisenachWe stayed at the campsite for two weeks at the beginning of August for the duration of our annual vacation, which we do not recommend and will not do again. We had reserved a pitch in advance. When we arrived, we were given a warm welcome and were allowed to choose from three free pitches. The campsite... was very full. The pitches are small, so it was very close to the neighbor. There is limited shade. Most of the pitches are on a slope. The ground is loamy/stony and hard like concrete in dry weather. We were told by long-term campers that water marches through the awning when it rains. Due to the prolonged dryness, we had a lot of trouble sinking the necessary pegs into the ground (and getting them out again). Unfortunately, we could count the days with relaxing peace and quiet on one hand. As the site was only used by many campers for two or three nights, it was a constant coming and going. As on other campsites with permanent campers, it is noisy in the evenings and at night (especially at weekends). Due to the drought, the whole site had a water problem. For a few days, the water could only be used when boiled. When the campsite was fully occupied, sometimes only a trickle of lukewarm water came out of the heads when showering in the men's area in the evening. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was also sometimes already gone by the afternoon. We found it very unfortunate that the campsite has no WiFi and the local mobile phone network (D2 for us) is very weak. We usually plan our excursions and activities on site with the help of the internet. The kiosk is well stocked and the restaurant on site is highly recommended. As already described several times, the site is extremely convenient for visiting Wartburg Castle, Eisenach and exploring Wartburgland. There is no large supermarket in the immediate vicinity. We were greeted warmly and were allowed to choose our own pitch. The sanitary facilities are always clean and well-maintained, and the whole site is in top order. Fresh bread rolls are available early in the mini-market and you can also have an excellent meal... in the restaurant. The lake invites you to cool off after a strenuous hike. Eisenach is also 10 minutes away by car. There is also a bus service to Eisenach, although not so frequent on weekends. We would love to come back!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

The site is in a really beautiful location in the forest by a lake. The sanitary facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and there is a small kiosk as well as a restaurant where we enjoyed eating. There are lots of signposted hiking trails around the campsite... and it's not far to Eisenach either. The shopping facilities directly at the campsite are somewhat limited, we drove to Eisenach or Bad Salzungen to do our shopping. I was a guest at the campsite for a long weekend to get away from it all, relax and explore Eisenach a little more. There is a small beach with a slide right next to the campsite for tourists, which is ideal... for children. I myself made myself comfortable on the sunbathing lawn opposite in the permanent camper area. The pitches are not marked, so you have to agree with your neighbors how far you want to spread out, but that's less of a problem for us campers. I can only recommend this site for a short break. It is only suitable to a limited extent for longer stays. The restaurant is absolutely not recommended. The food was very poorly prepared, swimming in fat and not very tasty.
