- Alex M.October 2024Olumlu yanlarıGood location, friendliness of the campsite operators, lots of treesOlumsuz yanlarıThe campsite looks very neglected.Good place and the campsite can be improved. It is worth it.Campers are looking for nature, but we also want some amenities and a well-kept site.
This campsite has lots of trees, it's very green, but it's also a bit noisy during the day, as the noise from the road and trains decreases significantly at night. You can sleep peacefully.
The man at the reception... is super friendly and also the man who cleans...But the campsite is a bit neglected: the electricity boxes for the campers are broken, the little house where the dishes are washed, the light and the drain are broken. It's not covered, you see a lot of trash all over the campground (cars, abandoned campers and full of dirt and weeds). There is no garbage can along the camping paths ... there is only one at the entrance and large containers at the end.
There are two buildings for showers and toilets, but one is older than the other, although they are always very clean. In the toilet area there are 8 toilet cubicles and only one sink (I would not like to imagine in summer) And in the shower area there are many sinks and none with soap dispenser and only 3 shower cubicles.
There is no wifi because if you want wifi you have to go to the reception window to connect (this is very crazy). Therefore there is no wifi.
There is no bread service, but that's not a problem. The problem is that they should move to such a good place because Heilderber is a very important town and has no more campsites. What I would like to emphasize is that the operators are very friendly and treat the customer very well and that is worth its weight in gold.
In any case, it is to be recommended with the hope that next season they will have a much better maintained campsite, because we want to come back.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Stephan R.September 2023Olumlu yanlarıThe site is beautifully situated on the Neckar and very close to Heidelberg. Clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff.Olumsuz yanlarıThere are fewer power connections for the pitches on the Neckar side, so some of the campers lay cables across the road.Beautiful place on the Neckar near HeidelbergWe were there at the beginning of October 2023. Very nice and quiet site right on the Neckar with clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff. The whole thing comes with a very good price-performance ratio. Heidelberg can be reached by car (15 min.), by bike (30 min.) and also by bus (bus stop 10 min.... on foot). You should arrive by car and trailer from the direction of Ziegelhausen, as turning left into the opposite driveway from Neckargemünd is very tight.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Marianne N.September 2023Olumlu yanlarıThe location directly on the NeckarOlumsuz yanlarıThe long way to the bus stopStay from 10 - 14.9.23We were there from September 10 - 14, 23.
Of course you can hear the road from the opposite bank.
But anyone who finds that annoying must be very sensitive to noise. In any case, we liked it.
The only disadvantage for us was the long way to the bus stop or to go shopping, more than 1 km on foot.
Best regards, Marianne and Scherco from Switzerland.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Gabbie W.August 2023Olumlu yanlarıThere are shady spots available 👍. The site is located directly on the Neckar.Olumsuz yanlarıThe pitch is on the opposite bank of the main road. This is very loud and disturbing. The sanitary facilities are more than poor, both in terms of cleanliness and quantity. Four showers each for men and women is far too few for the number of guests. Queuing to shower is not an option. The hot water in the showers, for which you have to buy a token for €1, changes as soon as water is taken from the next shower. Caution BURNS ‼️Not recommended for campers who expect peace and quietBased on the above description, we checked out after the first night. We had planned at least 3 days.
No sanitary facilities for children and disabled people.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Jörg N.October 2021Olumlu yanlarıA beautiful place. Friendly staff. Narrow on good grass pitches.Olumsuz yanlarıEverything was ok. I can't rate the toilet as we do our business in the camper van.Located directly on the Neckar. The road behind it doesn't bother me. 😊A beautiful place. Friendly staff.
Narrow on good grass pitches. We will be back again.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Erika B.July 2021Olumlu yanlarıPosition, calm and quietOlumsuz yanlarıNot very tidy but no big dealNice campingplatz with a very nice locationI spent one night at Campingplatz Haide while visiting Heidelberg. I found it very nice, only ten minutes away by car from the center of the city which it was super good. The site was quiet and nice. The guy at the reception was very friendly and one of the only ones in Germany speaking English, he gave... me all the informations about the camping and when I asked suggestions about restaurants or informations about the city he kindly helped me. it is possible to put the tent wherever you prefer, either on the side of the water or on the other field and by nights it's very quiet. Bathrooms were clean but you have to pay to take a shower (0.50cents). It was very cheap and I really appreciate the position, very close to the city. I definitely recommend it and I'd definitely want to come back.
- Andreas C.October 2020Olumlu yanları- Close to Heidelberg and the A5 - Newly renovated sanitary building at the entrance - within walking distance of the bus station / S-Bahn - free choice of pitch - Electricity always close to the pitch - Payment by EC card possibleOlumsuz yanları- 2. sanitary house not renovated - Restaurant seems to be closedQuiet and beautifully situated pitch near HeidelbergWe were looking for a pitch near Heidelberg. This site is well suited for this. You can get to the city center quickly both by bike and by bus/train.
It's about a 15-minute walk (via the lock) to the bus stop. We bought the ticket beforehand in the VRN/rnv app (day ticket). It then takes about 15 minutes... by bus or 5 minutes by S-Bahn.
If you walk to the bus stop in the dark or vice versa, you should definitely take lights with you. There is a sidewalk along the street, but it is very dark.
The square itself has 2 wash houses. The front one at the entrance is quite newly renovated. You need shower tokens for 1 EUR, but then the showers are fine.
At the reception you can also get drinks or ice cream, bread rolls can be ordered in advance.
We got the bread rolls from Rewe in the first village (Kleingemünd). That's about 10 minutes by bike.
The pitches are large, electricity is always nearby, the lawn is well maintained.
Friendly reception at the entrance, you have to leave your passport. The price is okay for an overnight stay, you can pay by card from 2 nights.Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - U. W.September 2020Olumlu yanlarıNot too far from Heidelberg, right on the Neckar, showers not modern but clean, bread rolls can be ordered from the kiosk on site.Olumsuz yanlarıUnfortunately, the buildings are getting on in years. Everything seems somehow "run down" The supply and disposal is absolutely not up to date - some of the floor inlets are defective and to empty the chemical toilets, you have to walk between the waste containers. There are car wrecks on the grounds. Washing machine and dryer defective, as are the hand dryers in the shower area. The log cabins look unkempt. The access road is winding and narrow with no alternative route!Unfortunately getting on in yearsThe "award" dates back many years, and in the current state of the square and the buildings, the square certainly doesn't deserve an award. It's a shame, because the location is good.
But unfortunately everything here looks unkempt and no longer up to date. The restaurant has been closed for some time.
The man at reception is friendly.
September 2020Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Jan S.October 2019Olumlu yanlarıGood location to visit Heidelberg and surroundings, very cheap, better opening hours than Camping HeidelbergOlumsuz yanlarıPower connection not everywhere, cable must be laid across pathGood location for Heidelberg and the surrounding areaThe campsite is well maintained and well organized. The sanitary facilities are a bit old and small. When the campsite is full, it can get a bit cramped. Prices are very fair. You stand on a meadow, free choice of pitch. No demarcation. Very few large vehicles find space.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Andrea M.September 2019Olumlu yanlarıSupply and disposal, locationOlumsuz yanlarıDuring the day, the main road echoesWhere you can feel at homeThe site is natural, right on the Neckar, very friendly operators, the main road is a bit noisy, but quiet at night. All in all, a place to come back to.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Elvira R.September 2019Olumlu yanlarıClose to the city and beautiful pitchesNice place with large pitches near HeidelbergNice but unfortunately also noisy place by opposite road and railroad, the big advantage is, you can quickly to Heidelberg on the bike path. The sanitary facilities are dated but clean. From the breakfast table you can see and hear the ships chugging past. All in all a nice place with destination HeidelbergOtomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Blub B.June 2019Olumlu yanlarıGreat location directly on the NeckarOlumsuz yanlarıRinse with ice-cold waterGreat place with very friendly staffThe site is beautifully situated and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were able to get a pitch right next to the playground and so we always had our children in view from our caravan. The only negative thing is the sanitary facilities. You need a token for the showers. In one of the two wash... houses there are no shelves in the shower cubicles and the water always changes from far too hot to lukewarm. In the other wash house the showers are ok. Washing up with ice-cold water is also not much fun. But since everything else was fine, we were still happy with the place.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Krebber H.April 2018Olumlu yanlarıProximity to HeidelbergOlumsuz yanlarıI was already worried about the steep exitIdeal for visiting the city of HeidelbergWe only stayed at this campsite for one night. We were on a round trip and wanted to visit Heidelberg. It is about 1000 meters to a bridge over the river. On the other side there is a bus to the old town. Sure it was a bit noisy from the road and the railroad line but to chalk that up to a campsite is... wrong from my point of view. The sanitary facilities were clean and ok. there was nothing to complain about. Attention the access road is very steep and narrow. If you meet a camper or a larger motorhome on the way up and are forced to stop, you need enough horses to start again.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

- Roland K.September 2016Olumlu yanlarıClose to Heidelberg, lots of space.Beautiful campsite for Heidelberg - sightseeingNice, friendly welcome, beautiful flat site on the banks of the Neckar. We were only there for 2 nights to visit Heidelberg. A bit noisy at night, especially the freight trains on the opposite bank, but didn't bother us much. Sanitary facilities fine and clean. The shower coins for the hot water were a bit annoying.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Matthias M.July 2016Olumlu yanları- Location to Heidelberg and other excursion destinations - nice operators - Decent, realistic pricesOlumsuz yanları- no disadvantages apart from a little traffic noise during the dayA great place on the Neckar near Heidelberg......we used the site in July 2016 and were surprised. A great location right on the Necker. The pitches are level and the infrastructure is always adequate - you can get electricity and water practically around the corner. The site is a little noisier due to the roads, but in the evening and at night,... when there is less traffic on the road, it is also quieter. The price of the pitch is in the middle range - but it is definitely worth the money. The operator is friendly and courteous and has a good sense of what you actually want. Thank you for the friendly treatment.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Thomas R.June 2016Olumlu yanlarıLocation between Heidelberg and Neckargemünd, friendly, cleanOlumsuz yanlarıquite loud, simply equippedGood location, friendly, simpleAs a new visitor to the Neckar, I started with a rookie mistake: If it has rained a lot, campsites directly at ground level on the Neckar could be flooded. They all were on our arrival day at the beginning of June 2016, except for Camping Haide. The site is also located directly on the Neckar, but one... floor higher, so to speak. We were given a friendly welcome and had a free choice of pitches on the simple site, which extends to one side of a path. There are two sanitary buildings, although the one in front must have already been renovated. There are plenty of toilets and washbasins, but only two showers in each building. The showers are available in exchange for tokens and sufficient hot water time. After waiting five minutes, however, a shower is always free:) The number of dishwashing facilities with hot water is even more limited. There is a restaurant on the site, but we did not test it. There are no shopping facilities directly on the site, but there is a possible bread roll service via the reception. However, a well-known discount store is easy to reach, at least by bike. We cannot share the comments made about the rental accommodation and the associated negative impressions of the campsite. The site is simply equipped and, in addition to the friendly operating team, scores points for its good location between Heidelberg and Neckargemünd. Both are easy to reach by bike. However, the Neckar cycle path is not only beautiful at this point, as it runs partly on a busy road or a narrow sidewalk. However, quite beautiful (mountain) bike tours quickly make up for these not always beautiful departure and arrival routes. The campsite is located below a road, which you can hardly hear on the campsite. The situation is different with the main road and railroad line on the other side of the Neckar. Both are clearly audible. We wondered how loud the other pitches on this side of the Neckar would have been if you lived right next to them. Free WiFi is available in the reception area. For our visit to Heidelberg and the surrounding area, we found the pitch to be fine and friendly. However, the facilities are rather basic, albeit clean.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Oliver B.May 2016Olumlu yanlarıProximity to Heidelberg and NeckargemündInteresting for visits to HeidelbergNice CP without parcelling and without frills. We stayed at the campsite for a week after Whitsun with the camper van. The sanitary facilities and the campsite made a well-kept impression. Friendly, helpful staff. If you choose a campsite close to the city for a city break, you don't need to complain... about the noise of the infrastructure. You know that in advance! I therefore find negative reviews about this inappropriate. It didn't bother us. Only the narrow, steep and winding access road should be mentioned briefly. But even that is manageable. We will be back.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Daniel S.May 2016Olumlu yanlarıFriendly staffOlumsuz yanlarıNowadays it is no longer standard to shower without heating when the outside temperature is below 10 ° CNot to recommendFortunately, I was only there for three nights. There is no heating in the showers or the toilets. The water remains in the sink to drip off. The three sinks are also not great for washing up. There are only two showers in the front area for almost 200 people. There is no partition in the shower cubicle at the back.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Fritz K.August 2015Olumlu yanlarıToilets and showers are OK.Olumsuz yanlarıExtremely loud.Inflation of the starsI cannot understand the 4 stars at the reception. The site is located directly on the banks of the Neckar below an extremely busy country road on one side and directly facing the main road on the other side of the Neckar. There is a constant noise until late at night and then again very early in the... morning. I only want to mention the regularly passing trains and loud party boats in passing. The facilities in the log cabins are OK as far as sleeping is concerned. But you will look in vain for a power socket. It becomes problematic in the huts when a bus with 50 young people suddenly arrives and the huts are occupied. Then sleeping is practically a thing of the past. As a rule, no rest periods are observed or enforced by the operator. Apart from a dilapidated playground, the site offers no opportunity for leisure activities. There are at least 2 shacks built together in the middle of the campsite, giving you an idea of what a Fawela in Rio is like. The pitch is hardly kept short in terms of grass (i.e. more of a meadow). In my opinion, the standards of a German campsite are met to some extent, but no more. If you drive only about 3 km further you come to Neckargemünd. There is a campsite there that is superior to this one in every respect and you have a nice town in the immediate vicinity.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
